That's why I always used a SSD external harddrive to download. Wasn't perfect but definitely faster than using the HDD installed
Put a ssd into my Xbox one and ps4 pro. 5 minutes of work and now inhave current Gen loading speeds.

Very interesting to see how the Switch version turns out, although if a game runs pretty well on the ps4 and Xb1 the Switch has a history of surprising us.

Honestly credit to them for actually even shipping it still. It would have been very easy to cancel it and just give up on last gen. And it's very cool they let you unlock the frame rate.

Das nennt sich Umsatz oder Profit , den kein Entwickler ignorieren wird , nur weil XBS + PS5 Gamer meinen sie wären die Besten und der Rest ist Elektoschrott . Ich würde mir keine XBS Konsole kaufen wollen , meine XBO X steckt die kleine Weisse ohne Festplatte locker in die Tasche . XBS Gaming besteht zu 90 % aus XBOX ONE , XB360 und XBOX Spielen / abwärtskompatibel Spielen und 10 % aus Spielen die zum größten Teil / Anzahl auch die XBO Gaming Konsolen abspielen können . Highlights existieren nicht wirklich auf den XBS Konsolen und das seit fast 30 Monaten .

The worst thing is going through doors In the school it takes soooo long and you just stand there looking like an idiot for a minute, even worse then it’s 2 doors in a row. Looks nice but damnnnn ruins the immersion and it kinda makes it boring
I play on series x and I still think people are a bit overboard with FPS speed. I've been gaming since the 80's and a fun game at 30fps , doesn't bother me in the least. I cringe at all the ppl who trash on a good game , or refuse to play it because it's 30fps. Especially the PC snobs with their 3000$ + rigs that will be out of date in 6 months. I got suckered into that a few years ago and wasted a ton of money. Never again! A Series X or Ps5 is all I need. Still got my og Xbox one in case I ever have to repair my series x.

@@MusicAddict9228 yea ikr especially on my awesome pc 30 fps to me should not be a thing anymore in 2023 60 fps or even 120 fps is my go to if u have high refresh rate screens or something but 120 fps or more is way smoother than 60 when I tried it but yea 30 fps should not be a thing anymore the minimum fps should be 60 fps now lol

Not a bad effort at all to be fair to them. It settings look like they are lower than low PC settings, the resolution is obviously lower and there is quite a lot of shimmering and artifacts, especially in effects/textures in the distance, but I'm honestly surprised they managed to get it running as smoothly as it is, especially considering how bad the CPU in the Xbox One was.
I play more games on my Xbox One X than my Series S because of the disc drive and I have slower internet, so this video was not at all a surprise to me. Thanks!

Over Christmas break when I was thinking towards the Xbox one( s or x) I ended up with the s from my sisters bf, before I was fine with it as long as it wasn’t the oldest Xbox one, I’m glad I have the one s. I was thinking about “okay the graphics are going to be still somewhat gorgeous but am I going to be okay with the slower load times and frame rate”

Good morning!! Wanna say I really like your content and give you my thanks on all your videos. I got my series S a few weeks ago and a reason why was watching all your videos and feedback on the console. I've been on playstation my whole life but grew up playing halo and I made the decision to transition into Xbox and the series S plus the game pass I gotta say is an amazing deal. The console performs every game amazing for such a little machine it is amazing ! Just got a budget monitor under $200 1440p/144hz to go with it/gets here tomorrow and I can't wait to continue playing and getting more and more into the Xbox space!

its a way better game that Jedi Survivor IMO. I have way more fun with combat in Hogwarts. Its the best game I've played since RDR2.

The last gen games are "old". From the first to the last. This game would run even on Switch.
I use the XBox Series X as well as still the XBox One X (Project Scorpio Edition) and the Xbox One (Day One Edition.)
I have installed an internal 1TB SSD in both last gen consoles. That shortens the loading times significantly. Especially with this game, it's a difference like night and day.
This also works if you connect a USB 3 SSD and install the game on it. Internally it is still a bit faster, but even with USB the difference is huge.
What I find great is that they also made separate adjustments for the One X. So the game is bigger there, because higher resolution textures are used. The resolution is between 1080p and 1440p, so it never falls below FullHD. The 30 FPS is also always maintained there.
Overall, I think it's great that this excellent game has been brought to the Last Gen. There are potentially many new players here who have not played much or at all. I know some Harry Potter fans who bought a console because of it. Someone like that doesn't spend 500 Euros right away, but buys a used one to play this one game.
I'm in the UK and got the PS4 version free with the Deluxe edition. I only know this because my son bought the deluxe version for his PS5 and he told me the PS4 version (which i still play on as I also own a Series S) was free and came out yesterday. Checked last night and there it was, free to download. Been playing it and have to say it's very impressive what they have done. It manages to hit 40-50fps in most areas, but does dip into the 30s in the larger, busier areas. However, with motion blur (which I normally turn off) it seems to smooth out any dips and make them less noticeable. Locked 30fps is very stable too. All in all a very impressive version considering the hardware it is on.

You do get the ps4 version included if you bought the deluxe ps5 edition, I just confirmed by checking my account. Maybe they took the ps4 version out of the deluxe edition after launch, but I preordered and I have access to the ps4 version now, just as it was advertised.
It's honestly how a xbox can run rdr2 (100 GB's) but it can barely run hogwarts legacy which is 23 GB's it jus disappoints me, as long as I've waited for this game.

This looks almost too good to be on Xbox One. 10 year old hardware that was weak 10 years ago! Im really surprised this runs at all on the XBO....
Run pretty decent on last gen, but the loading times alone would make me throw this console out the window. I cant believe we used to endure this on all our games before this new generation.

Comparing it to the PS4 version - I just looked at a gameplay video - I'd say that the PS4 version has higher graphical detail but more graphical glitches. I'm just basing that off very little data, so it may be wrong, but that is my first impression.
I actually just downloaded this the other day but I have a series X just for the fun of it I downloaded the Xbox One version as well but I don't know if it's working double with speed because it's not actually running on an Xbox One so it's got the faster hard drive access

Honestly it looks just a bit worse than Series S on performance mode, but with 30fps. Series S version looks great on quality mode and 1080p tv, but in performance it really loses a lot of foliage, shadows (their resolution) and lighting.
Still, for some people it is important to just play this game. it doesn't look horrible, looks kinda good for past gens.
For the game itself - well, it's not bad. Exploring Hogwarts is awesome, atmosphere is getting out of the screen in this game. Too bad story and characters aren't that good tho. Still a nice game, but I have yet to force myself to complete it.

I bought the deluxe edition on the series X but it definitely wasn't as good as I hoped. There wasn't much going on, it's very relatable to ghost of Tsushima the way that outside of the main piece there isn't actually anything going on.
Yeah I think starting soon, AAA games will most likely abandon last gen consoles (Xbox One/PS4), just like every cross generation for consoles we have had before. This looks very much playable, but once games goes completely Unreal Engine 5 and anything equivalent to that (Hogwarts Legacy is UE4), these consoles will say goodbye then.

I assume you don't have PS4 to test this on? I do wonder how the Switch is going to handheld this... hopefully not too bad. It would be nice if people could enjoy the game despite what device they are playing it on.
I play on PS4 and it runs VERY well. Unlocked it sits around 40-50fps in most areas and the locked 30fps is very stable. There are some texture loading issues in places but they're minor. All in all I am very impressed with how it runs on PS4.

Doesn't seem to run too badly on an Xbox One IMHO, a One X in performance mode might have a slightly higher framerate but the load times are going to be an issue regardless as it's a mechanical HDD

Slightly off topic, but will there be an issue with console SSDs in the future as they have a limited lifespan? And does regularly deleting/installing games shorten that lifespan?

If so then my Series S would already been Dead by now with the amount of Deleting and installing on it the last 2,5 years 😉
I think even at that rate it would still take 10-15 years for it to become an issue, similar if not longer lifespan to the standard HDD
They even held back some gigabytes so you can't fill your ssd, that would also be bad for it. By the time your ssd dies you will probably get a next gen console on sale.

It still says you can on the Xbox store. The 79.99 version.
If you purchase the deluxe version you get both copies. I own the deluxe on xbox and they both show up in owned games now.

This version looks like a Skyrim mod.
They have finally patch it on series s. Now Fidelity mode reach 30 fps without frame drops. But... Performance mode is still a total mess. Why they have put performance mode in graphics options i dunno. Its run bad and dont reach even 50 fps with a lower resolution. This game needs others patch, really
People seem to forget that we got games like red dead 2 and witcher 3 on xbox one wich look better then this game. People are soo easily manipulated to thinking we are actually getting next gen gaming with the series s and x😂, we are still getting last gen quality games on new gen hardware.

This makes me so happy to have an awesome pc because I love the fast loading times with nvme ssds especially on the ps5 its awesome I will never go back to this rubbish last gen consoles I will stick with my ps5 and pc because loading times and frames is what I care about lol but I guess its impressive that it runs on last gen consoles pretty good but not the standards I'd play games like but impressive nonetheless

I was so excited for this game and sense it got pushed back like 3 months I was expecting great things, but this game plays like a xbx360 game the frame drop is bad and the game takes forever to load . Like it sometimes takes me 10 seconds for a door to load so I can walk thru the mf. Sigh idk I am disappointed.
bro its an 2023 game running on 2013 console just try to run this game on 2013 pc and you will understand if ou want better performance then spend more money and if you cant then try to understand you will get this performance no matter what you say

It isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be graphics wise. My brother in law has the new xbox with the game and I have to say the gameplay is much better, more smooth....not having to wait to go through doors etc. For some reason on the xbox one remote I'm finding pressing the y button hard, there is like a delay with it but that could be just the remote! It's so old! 😂
