    I lost count of how many times I watched both this segment and the original. It was by far one of the best moments of any game show. Also, this song is a banger.

      I knew that one before going into the game, but the [Spoiler] last piece of dark ocean summoning made me go like this is freaking awesome. It will stay in my brain rent free for a decade until i revist again

    Alan Wake 2 being Epic games exclusive on PC doesnt help

      it going full woke and focusing on a black woman instead of Alan Wake was the death of the game

      Unfortunately only Epic were willing to give them the funding they needed, it was either that or no game.

      @@TheNightman. except it doesn't, they're both playable protagonists. He's just as much a main character as she is, story wise even more so since he's the reason it all happens while she's unlucky and gets pulled into it.

    You can see the love and passion of the people behind the game .. sad it did not make a profit and that proves that the mass gamers dont really care about the artistic value of a game ! Remedy and IOI are my favorite indepedent studios that i would love to see joining sony because they will benefit heavily in term of marketing publishing and technical expertise to keep doing what they do and even improve.

      I love hitman but the gameplay of Alan wake 2 doesn't really appeal to me. But I'm open to trying it. The problem is I have a huge backlog and sadly that means I may never get to try Alan wake 2

      @iamrkxi 2 дня назад

      @@saumayagoel234 It can wait, Remedy tend to do great discounts, i was skeptical too but when i started it was good, the trick is to choose the best timing, avoid playing 2 games of same genre at the same time or after each other .. its a horror slow paced game with high quality cut scenes that requires your attention, if u dont like mistery & horror movies, its not for you, its basicaly an interactive movie with action

    Bit of stretch to call this the most insane gaming moment of 2023

      Name a more "insane" gaming moment from 2023 then.

  • @JS-bh3pz
    @JS-bh3pz День назад

    The most insane is that this game bombed and the studio is still years of sales away before they see any money. They took massive gamble on this and will hopefully survive this. This came out of nowhere and they probably needed to spend millions on marketing since it was appearing everywhere, but the sales are so low. It was below 2 million copies before December. Probably one of biggest flops in history. Apparently they need to sell another 5million copies full price just to recover production costs and that is not including the gigantic marketing they had.

      Yeah, the Epic Game Store bit complicates the narrative so much. Was it a doomed game, did the storefront limitation doom it, was the up-front cash a good-seeming bargain for the information they had at the time, etc...

    • @JS-bh3pz
      @JS-bh3pz День назад

      @ the first one was not that great. It was risky to release the second one with such huge budget to start with. Everything else contributed as well but why would you release such a big game like that while spending so much money on it. Even the performance at the Game Awards. Guys from Cyberpunk literally just showed up and said the patch was ready and now if passed 30million and counting. Nintendo sold 10million of Tears of the Kingdom in first 3 days only releasing a trailer. Alan Wake was such a small IP to start with.

    • @erg1947
      @erg1947 12 часов назад +1

      They spent €20 million on just the marketing, they marketed it plenty. It's just that ultimately it's a niche game with niche appeal that's a sequel to a game that flopped but has a AAA budget.

    • @JS-bh3pz
      @JS-bh3pz 8 часов назад

      @ they will never see the money back and this franchise is dead. What a miscalculation it was!

    AW2 is piss poor game when compared to the original tho. Zero atmosphere. Zero scares. Poor level design. Mediocre graphics. Heck the game does not even have working mirrors, that is how crap Remedy are these days. Still, paid youtubers and critics loved it.
