It's not exactly that Newton's theory of gravity or Darwin's theory of evolution could one day be proven wrong, it's more accurate to say that one day a better theory could emerge that better explains reality. It's about developing a theory that is MORE accurate in explaining reality. Doesn't mean Newton's theory isn't correct in explaining certain aspects of reality, it means that newer theories better account for reality.
Obviously that's not to say that these theories can't be proven wrong, if a hominid fossil is discovered in the Jurassic, that will of course change things but that hasn't happened so..
Jesse Rudolph Very good point actually, I remember hearing an argument like the one I made years ago in a Dawkins book called 'The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution' that mentioned a rabbit fossil being discovered in the wrong layer of rock. But you're right, it wouldn't disprove all the other separate fields of evidence for evolution and it would simply mean that science is updated to match the discovery and the theories are then just shifted around accordingly, if anything.

it is wrong, for example, the last two "stages" of the depiction: the neanderthal and the homo sapien existed at the same time. even the creator of the original said that it is not a realistic representation of the evolution. there is a nice video about it from SciShow
theres a lot of proved to be true conspiracies regarding evolution: Piltdown man, fossil fabrication/engravers, giant bones, missapropiation of fossils, giant trees remains cut down during the industrial revolution in the 18th cen. this was such a brief video that diluted everything and proved nothing.
None of the stages in the video were labeled with anything so how can you say any of those were neanderthals? Those drawings are just approximations to get the idea across, they aren't meant to be super accurate depictions of specific hominids.
I'm more concerned by the claim that Sir Issac Newton was "mostly wrong". His model is still perfectly reasonable for most applications and the refinements offered by quantum mechanics are rarely required in most 'real world' settings. I'd also love to see this channel provide the quote where Newton claims that he had "locked down the laws of physics". Conspiracy theorists are generally narcissistic poster children for the Dunning-Kruger Effect. They can, and should, be ignored. But lazy science media outlets are just as problematic. Although they get the major points, I find it difficult to excuse their sloppiness.
Why do you characterize people like this? This is dangerous. Everyone in general questions narratives every single day. Some people just choose to question big ideas, theories, etc. Only a few people actually have mental disorders in conjunction with conspiracies. But, you are characterizing everyone and anyone who questions things we define as 'normal truths' as nut jobs.
The reason is because the vast majority of conspiracies are just crazy junk. But you're right; generalization makes it harder for the right information to come to light.
"If a theory is not falsifiable it's not worth debating" - While I agree with this statement in a scientific setting, there are still topics where this does not necessarily apply, for instance religion or philosophy. Great video by the way, some nice ammunition to combat conspiracy theorists, or at least know when it's time to just stop arguing with them.
+DawnOfErik +bannana live vest I honestly don't know much on this subject, but the guy in the video is talking about empiricism. Science is built on empiricism, so nothing that isn't empirical is science. There are, however, two alternative philosophical theories that are incompatible with empiricism. This is the reason the rule on being falsifiable doesn't necessarily apply to philosophy and religion.
If you are debating if something is or is not true, then your theory absolutely must be falsifiable, or you cannot make a distinction between your theory being true or complete garbage. It does not matter what type of problem you are discussing, if you cant falsify your theory, you might as well not have one. Fun factoid, if you look up definitions for "delusion", there is usually explicit exception for religions.

Everything else might just be your senses fooling you.
Ok do you mind debating the Syrian gas crisis? Where Assad their beloved leader is winning a war but at the same time is gassing his own people. Apparently this argument that Assad is more innocent than not is considered a “conspiracy theory” as it counters what popular UK, US, and French media. Which sources such as Msnbc have referred to Assad as a “war criminal” for killing his own people. Even though there is countless examples of evidence that disproves Assad to be a “war criminal.” One example or false flag being the “white hats” that immediately went to save Syrian civilians in a gas attack, these “white hat” saviors were in fact apart of Al-Qaeda, Al-Qaeda being the ones who gassed the civilians originally. The war Assad is fighting is against Muslim extremists, that are funded by America. However, popular news sources in the Us refer to these extremists as “moderate rebels”. I could go on for hours about how Assad is more innocent than guilty and that Us, the Uk, and France are to blame, but since it’s not in accordance with popularized news sources, such as CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc. I am considered a conspiracy theorists. Doesn't mean Newton's theory isn't correct in explaining certain aspects of reality, it means that newer theories better account for reality.

Terms like "conspiracy theorists" are labels that automatically dismiss any challenge against the mainstream belief as "stupid and naive" All these lables separate us as a people and make us think we know what other people actually believe.
Yeah, but if someone tells me what they believe then I do know some of their beliefs. And if those beliefs are presented with garbage evidence and at the same time a ton of passion...I'm gonna call it like it is.
There term conspiracy theorist exist because there are people are willing to accept claims without any evidence. Or they make up unscientific evidence using big science-y words that draws laymen in. It's dangerous and it needs to stop.

Wiki?
Therein lies the rub: there is so much misinformation at everyone's fingertips that "credible" sources are hard to find.
says evolution is a good and solid theory - commences showing a wrong depiction of evolution. gj
define "wrong". The depiction doesn't tell the entire story but it isn't wrong.
it is wrong, for example, the last two "stages" of the depiction: the neanderthal and the homo sapien existed at the same time. even the creator of the original said that it is not a realistic representation of the evolution. there is a nice video about it from SciShow
theres a lot of proved to be true conspiracies regarding evolution: Piltdown man, fossil fabrication/engravers, giant bones, missapropiation of fossils, giant trees remains cut down during the industrial revolution in the 18th cen.
this was such a brief video that diluted everything and proved nothing.
But you're right; generalization makes it harder for the right information to come to light.
generalizing is an error...stigmatizing is worse ...be skeptic is good for thinking..cuestion ewerything!

I honestly don't know much on this subject, but the guy in the video is talking about empiricism.

If you are replying to my comment, I actually agree with you. I'm afraid I may not have quite conveyed what I meant very well.
"oh look there's this evidence that supports my conspiracy theory!"
what to reply: "ok I'll use your own argument against you then. How can you prove the validity of your source?"
or if you want you can just slide down into a very simple evidence (takes some thinking to realise it): there is one thing in the universe that is undeniable: your own existence.
