Great video, after watching some others I get it, still much to be learned, but lets not panic yet, howbout some common sense, wife and I just added dtf to our small shop 6 months ago, when we got the oven, i decided to switch out the hose and box filter, went and bought some ductwork, inline fan, ran from oven vent to outside, also window fan installed, we wear respirator, eye protection and latex gloves, Ive worked in the offset printing industry for 47 years all in the pressroom now retired and have seen my share of toxic and hazardous chemicals, I feel at the moment I ve done my homework, taken safety precautions, gonna roll with it, also, we maintain proper temp and humidity in our shop year round, using 2 differant brands of hygrometers at each end always within 2-3% of each other
sounds like your doing it right that what I would do as well, thanks for that info as its experienced info like this that helps others
im going to recommend that at our work, we ventilated our laser but not our dtf , i think a exhaust system over the powder area will be helpful
I agree something that just hovers over the area for air quality control would help

I saw the video that Brother put out & new immediately what I would need to do.
Which is do research for roper ppe. I am going to disagree with the statement, " they wouldn't intentionally put out a product knowing it was harmful ". They were required to submit information regarding any chemicle & harmful properties. They new! But like many businesses, they will only be held accountable if sued, that's the American way.
yeah because cigarettes cause cancer and yet they are sold lol with a warning...so I am starting to see that some companies would, and some wouldnt, either way its safe as long as yo do not reach the extreme thresholds per product and thats where temperature of the product is involved

So...what are the effects from just heat pressing dtf heat transfers, not making them, just pressing them on garmets? Do/should dtf tansfers makers/suppliers have safety data sheets for their customers?
should be fine as the powder adhesives themselves are already cured, for some the fumes may give them headaches depending on the type of powder in these cases just add a fan to ventilate next to the press, problem solved, in my experience I have never had issues with pressing our DTF Supreme Color transfers
Are there concerns also associated with just pressing dtf prints or just the curing process?
DTF curing is only dangerous at certain temperature levels, but most shaker dryers are below those thresholds and have vent ports you can add hoses to that help with fume extraction, pressing DTF is fine, if you have minor issues with fumes from pressing just add a small fan nearby, other than following a good ventilation process which should be a standard practice you'll be fine

no you'll be fine , with our DTF Transfers we have never had any issues and our Supreme Color DTF transfers are Oeko Tex certified, check out the site esentlprintsupply.com

Question if anyone has advice ...I have my printer inside in my house in my backroom and i have my powder and curing oven in my garage by the door. My oven has a internal air filter built in but not attached to a fume extractor. I just open my garage door and my oven blows directly outside. Do you think that is enough precaution or should i get a seperate fume extractor to place over my oven fan also?? I want to make sure im safe as possible because i do have kids in my house. i work from my home. Ive only had my machine for 3 months and i use to have it All inside because before when i was looking into this i never saw videos of ppl explaining or talking about the dangers of this and i bought overseas so thats my fault for not getting the whole picture of the entire process good and bad. So i moved the powder and oven outside when i saw all the youtube videos on the danger last week. Im glad i dont run this everyday and dont do large volumes i might print 20-40 prints in a week or two. But business has increased alot since adding this and in one day had to do a 42 shirt order and they wanted dtf. So if that is not a good ventilation idea in my garage with door open considering my kids are inside the house i would 100 percent sell this machine and still solely to screenprinting from home like ive been doing last 2 years. Im at a point of do i keep it or sell it?
I should say I do wear a n95 mask and gloves when i powder because i powder by hand.
as long as you have good open ventilation you should be fine, but having a hanging vent tube maybe that extracts fumes or powder in the air would be a nice touch, nothing wrong with that ...if you need bulk DTF Transfers you can order the best on my website esentlprintsupply.com we have our new 10 second hot peel! and several other DTF transfers to choose from

I set up my printer and do my dtf project in my room and I’ve done a few shirts with out gloves and masks not knowing this 😣I have a lot of air traveling threw my room will that be okay or do I move somewhere closed off.
where gloves when handling powder in the machine, the powder themselves are typically non toxic, ready your safety data sheets per product, as long as your machine is well vented and exhausting properly you shouldn't have an issue, keep the room clean and use a humidifier as well
Hello, I just watched your video and I'm asking you for advice. I am about to move to a location and will buy a 24 inch DTF machine. On the premises they have two large rooms plus the garage with air conditioning. At first I wanted to put the machine in one of the two rooms. but I think now it would be better to put it in the garage. or what do you recommend?
doesn't matter where you put it as long as you have good ventilation setup for it whether its open air or insulated vent ducting. keep in mind these machines at the same time have to be humidity and temp controlled near 60-65% humidity and around 65-75 degree temps

yes its safe, especially when you use companies that use Oeko Tex certified products which we do here at esentlprintsupply.com that's not where the problem lies the issue is in the chemical reactions at extreme temperatures or in poor exhaust situations, its more at the environment levels
