I brought the samsung first, and after a week of using, I wasn't happy With the speed and I saw the Lenovo was around same price, but wasn't able to find any good video about how the speed, so I brought it to test and was alot happier. It's still not any ipad speed, but under $100 I can't complain. 👍👍

I have owned two of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8. To say it is almost unusable is ridiculous. It works fine for what I use it for. It's not a gamer tablet. It's fine for movies, Office applications, Zoom and browsing the web. I'm buying a third since Black Friday deal at Walmart for $99. I run 128GB sd cards and will put a 256 card in the new one.

That is why I try to emphasized to make sure to get the Fhd, it annoying how these tablet is hard to determine, expecially Samsung make so many now a days, and trust me the Samsung Tab A8 is really bad, I guess it's a ok tablet if you use it mainly for book reading, for regular internet browsing it's ok. If you can stand the constant lag or not responding to your click then it's ok. Also when the Samsung not on sale it normally goes for $130 - $150. I'm not saying the Lenovo is a lot faster, it's just more tolerable in terms of speed, it still lag here and there. And both were around $100, just felt you get more bang for your buck 😁😁

You are correct...the touchscreen on the Samsung is terrible.
I bought both the Lenovo M8 FHD and the Samsung Tab A 8.0
    Pros and cons for each.
I ended up keeping the Samsung despite it's flaws, it is overall a better tablet than the Lenovo IMO.

@@ricstars95 tbh, they both suck but the Samsung sucked just a little bit less and my 14 return deadline from Best Buy had ended.
That made the choice a bit easier for me.
Both models kicked me off of websites and back to home screen.
      Both models froze frequently.
The Lenovo had better touch response.
Touch response on the Samsung is awful.
Speakers are louder on the Lenovo but distort badly around 3/4 volume so the benefits of louder speakers is basically non existent.
Samsung is a bit heavier and feels clunky.
I don't use tablet for game play so no opinion there.
The color for RUclips videos is much better with the Lenovo.
Both are fairly slow for every day apps.
Viewing angles on the Lenovo are limited.
Lenovo basically needs to be close to full brightness for comfortable viewing.
The Samsung I basically keep at barely 1/4 brightness and that is fine.
Reading books on Kindle is better on the Samsung.
Using the Lenovo for reading actually gave me a headache.
Like I said, my return period was up on the Samsung so I guess all things considered, if I had to do it over again, I'd probably go still keep the Samsung by default.

It's a bit more yellow and saturated compared to the samsung which is a bit wash for my taste, and other thing is the samsung resolution is lower too. In terms of gaming, I tested Call of duty, took 1 whole minute to load, but once loaded it plays well, it does pauses here and there when alot of actions happen, but to be honest its not bad, very playable imo, Graphic is decent, some textures are a bit blurry, you only get the low setting in Graphic Quality, guess the game auto detect the tablet power. For racing game, I tested Asphalt 8, took 25 sec to load, it playable, not 30fps, but it not distracting, still very fun. 3th game I tested is State if Survival, took 38 sec to load, playable, does have pauses here and there. The specs is similar to the Samsung Tab A8, being quad core 2ghz & 2gb ram, but I really like the charging dock as I'm not a fan of connecting a cable to a charging port as I had bad memories about how we busted our previous Blackberry Playbook tablet. I also like how solid it is because we dropped a few times (1 meter fall) and still kicking with no scratches/breaks.
We only play Candy Crushes, run videogame emulators up to Dolphin, watch RUclips, have video/picture libraries for offline uses. Google maps does lag/freeze when we browse the locations quickly.

Didn't an auto-update to Android 10 semi-brick a bunch of these in the last year?

oh man, I don't know, after I got the tab, I just went to setting and saw an update to 10, so I did. Still using the tab without any issue.

@@Jeffli76 On initial startup, my Lenovo M8 FHD Tab revealed Android 9 out of the box but pretty well right away did its own automatic UPGRADE to "10" seamlessly with no adverse effects, for two months now.

I HOPE so..just ordered the M8 FHD direct from LENOVO. Amazon also had one but its only the M8HD version for about the same price.

Had the Lenovo Tab M 8 FHD model for a couple of months now. Other than the usual Google Android stuff which Samsung would also have, I leave it all in the background and can do all my normal functions on the TAB vs, getting out the Windows laptop. Good buy (check Lenovos OWN) Ebaypage for best deal. I'd buy it again..but hope I don't have to.
