- The Baduanjin qigong(八段錦)
is one of the most common forms of Chinese qigong used as exercise. Variously translated as Eight Pieces of Brocade, Eight-Section Brocade, Eight Silken Movements or Eight Silk Weaving, the name of the form generally refers to how the eight individual movements of the form characterize and impart a silken quality (like that of a piece of brocade) to the body and its energy. The Baduanjin is primarily designated as a form of medical qigong, meant to improve health. This is in contrast to religious or martial forms of qigong. However, this categorization does not preclude the form's use by martial artists as a supplementary exercise, and this practice is frequent.

Thank you for this. Great idea to film the posture and movement from the front and the back. Very helpful to anyone trying to learn at home. Blessings to you.
Such a cool and clear demonstration with English explanations! Love it! Thank you.

5. Wise owl gazes backwards
6. Clench the fists and glare fiercely

Excellent lesson! Only need the explanation of breathing. Its very important!
after 100times doing, you will check the breathing by yourself...simply rule "when stretch - breath out" because the stretch nee empty loung
Belle démonstration. ..merci..
Thank you
I like some of these techniques and will add a few of the movements to the techniques I already practice as they look and feel like they move the Qi better. Just so people will know there are as different ways to do the 8 brocades as there are teachers. But all are roughly the same, so pick one that suits you and practice daily. The main idea in to get the Qi flowing smoothly and without any blocks to the flow. You will know when this happens because you will feel a lot better, and be stronger too. This practice will do it.
thank you so much for your comments. I didn't know that a lot peoples like watching my Performance.I will try to make more videos.

`Nature does not rush, yet every thing is accomplish!'
Thank you for sharing this quote. Love it!
前面と背面があるので、とても分かりやすく勉強になります。

Es importante ver a los actores de espalda
It's really healthful to practice this arts. However, we can get the same health effect with any exercise. It's the movement property (of exercise), not the forms that make us healthful.
. Awesome! I do Kung fu as well. But I also do lion dance!
May I know how to breath in each form? And how to prepare or end the practice?
See this one please. ruclips.net/video/cwlvTcWR3Gs/видео.html

Good , are these the authentic ones please?
Because in the ancient manustcript some of them look different.
there are 8 old statues in
the shaolin monastery ,which could solve our doubts , i had a video made there and showing the statues ,i have lost it ,so i cant share it,if you find it please let me know !!
still lokking for the video .the statue where very old ,blackish
Not what I learned at the authentic Shaolin temple. Very close but the movements are out of order and missing key movements.
Зачем этим нужно заниматься?
Для здоровья. Неторопливо.

thank you for share that
This is stretching, not chi kung.
This is the 8 silken brocades over 1,000 years old, and yes you do get stretching here but you also get strength building to, this is not a fighting method, but for moving chi for health. Definition of Chi kung.....Chi means energy, kung mean the study of something, so this is a study and practice of Energy movement. There now you are not as ignorant as you were.
@@johnparson8250 Qi mean breath Gong means work/skill like Gongfu. There, now you are not as ignorant as you were. ;-p
You may also add nerve flossing , balancing , breathing, core strengthening, mindfulness and movement meditation . Good job noticing the stretching element in this beautiful qigong practice. Enjoy!
🙏
