I have the EF 70-200 and a RF 70 -200. Once you carry the lightweight RF version around in your bag all day you don’t want to see EF lens again. The RF fits vertically in cameras bags and gives you more space. Also either 70-200 lens is a excellent portrait lens.
Now that canon released the new rf 70-200 f4 do you think you will pick that up ? Getting those unique compressed compositions without needing the 2.8 for $1000 less and even smaller footprint seems like it’s the perfect 70-200 for landscapes and traveling. Curious on your thoughts.
I think because the size weight and and native fitment it's worth it IF these are important to you. The same results can be achieved with a canon, sigma, or tamron 70-200 2.8. Great shots man.
Jason IS A TOTAL DUDE, I am a kid In Texas, and while in quarantine at home I have always dreamed of having the skills of filming and editing you have so, as a doer and not a thinker, I started a RUclips channel to chase that dream. I just wanted to thank you for the inspiring videos and the encouraging content. One of the videos from the quarantine has just dropped and I would love some support! Thanks! New Video
Great job pal. Yeah I loved 8:57 too. Impressive at that distance. I think hunk it’s overkill too, but a lovely lens. If you can afford it, why not, it may be useful elsewhere someday
Exactly - If money’s no object, get it all day long. If you’re trying to save a few bucks and don’t mind some extra size/weight, go with an EF equivalent
Nice review, it's the size and weight that's great. I have the 100-400 and its a super lens but dam heavy for hiking. Maybe the new rf zooms due soon could provide the answer if not. 👍
Heyo Jason, what do you think about the upcoming RF 100-500? I'm making a travel kit for all next year and I'm thinking of the EOS R, the 24-105, and the 100-500 that's coming out.
@@JasonWebberYT hi! Have you managed to give some more thoughts about it? I’m also very much into travel but I’m severing whether going all the way to 500 is better than having 2.8 and being able to use it for events and portraits as well

Yeah I agree, that’s the biggest selling point for me for sure. Not sure if I’m willing to drop that much cash, though 🤷♂️

Coming from the Nikon Z 70-200 F2.8 S, I think the Canon RF 70-200 F2.8 L is small/light. I love it! It's my second favorite lens.

Totally agreed - I’ll likely end up getting the Sigma 2.8 or a Canon F4 version + a prime ... haven’t made up my mind yet.
9:07 in, I was at Letchworth Falls in June of last year and found that same comp. First time I’ve experienced this.
😎👍🏻👍🏻😎
I really enjoy using my EF 70-200 F4L IS, just waiting for the RF version of it to come out!
It’s quite cute for me when compare the size with EF lens 70-200mm
So convenient. Traveling with it right now and barely notice it in my bag
Wait, do you not use lens caps?
Telephoto definitely works for you. The two featured photos you made of those canyons look amazing.
Thank you Bob! More telephoto shots on the way 👍

Thanks dude! I’ll check your page
I use my 100-500 rf and don’t need a 70-200 anymore !!

The way he entered the bedroom 😂😂
He's trying SO hard to have that Peter McKinnon / RUclipsr / influencer "personality".
Bro really is the ceo of yapology
In your first stop, those tree on the closest ridge will be rim lit. Archery/Inspiration is great vistas for 70-200
i know it is pretty off topic but do anyone know of a good website to watch new tv shows online ?
@Moses Kendrick Flixportal =)
@Ridge Camden thank you, I went there and it seems to work :D I appreciate it !
@Moses Kendrick glad I could help =)

I think it looks awesome. I’m actually considering it for myself over the 70-200 or a different EF telephoto. I think that’d be a great travel setup
@@JasonWebberYT But f7.1 is disgusting no?
@@frostybe3r it's only F7.1 for the very long end. I think of it as a 100-400 with a 1.4 TC on it.

Fresh content 👌
pumped I found your channel
Thanks for being here!
i think canon EF 100-400 would be ideal choice for landscape than 70-200.
I think I agree, especially since I already have the 24-105. Size and weight with that lens may be a concern, though.
You mean you rented a lens from lens rentals…
The video output looks kinda bad. Not sure if it’s your export
