They did. Dani’s still with her and they’ll be reunited in the afterlife. The creator Mike Flanagan confirmed Dani has always been with Jamie hence the hand on Jamie’s shoulder at the end of the show. I’m still sad over them too though I’ve been grieving since I watched it last year
