You think Rick would pick up on this, he obviously lives guitars for the money not the music. Rich wankers.
Pawn Stars EXPOSED
And you have a great attention span ( The expert said that).

Rick: " I need to call in an expert to get a second opinion."

So you would've payed her the full $25,000 for stuff that was proven to be fake? Rofl
Bill Day Sir the other "expert" has a proof of havin' a bad reputation. I could say that he's a conman because he appraised signatures in the past and he said that those were faked, but proven to be legit. Paul does sign guitars. I saw him in Sydney years ago quickly sign a guitar while at a music store appearance in the 90s. From memory he signed the rear of the guitar not the front.

I forgot what the deal was with him but I believe these are not real signatures. If the story is even real at all it would make sense that this nice lady got tooken at the charity auction. She would have not known enough about autographs how to tell the difference.
@@Len1977gt dafuq does that mean?
All jokes aside, wtf is Rick talking about "the bass was popular because of added electronics"? Paul played that bass because it was cheap and didn't look weird upside down/lefty.
Even bass is not Paul's instrument in early Beatles formation. The shy Stuart Sutcliffe did play the bass.
He didn't want to be "a fat guy stood in the back".
It was a good theory though.
@@haryadisuryonoto1118 Paul was the best on all the instruments at the start.
Paul NEVER played this bass!!!!!! He played LEFT HANDED, this bass is for RIGHT HANDED player.
@@michaelleftwich8186 Yes I know. The original Hofner Paul played was a righty though. Lefty basses were uncommon in those days so Paul bought a righty and played it lefty which was easy to do with the Hofner because of its shape.

she: i really can't say
*its ok we got it*
and she did it all for some fake Beatles tat
That is a bit heart breaking, she really thought that was real. You can see when people know it's fake when the expert comes in, but she actually thought it was. Not sure where it all came from, but I was also hoped it WAS real, that would've been awesome for a collector to hang onto it. Ah well.
Thinking an important piece is real without paperwork or evidence is prime ignorance.
Not know Paul is left handed is pure ignorance

Why wouldn’t you look at a rack like that

@Thomas Nieskens its like saying you have kurt cobains guitar but its a right handed guitar.
She actually thought that that was one of Paul’s basses? Lol.
Imagine if paul was the professional that came to verify
I'm utterly speechless on how she could bid this thing and not know or seen any paperwork as to authenticity. She had to know how many forgeries are out there.
I'm more speechless that she got it appraised without paperwork. That's scary.
@@talandelana6873 yep with that kind of money in an auction, there better be paperwork or COA from a reputable company like Beckett or PSA or grading agency. Don't bid thousands of $$$ without verification
@@philipchiu9835 This "signature expert" got fired by the PSA later when they found out his faked his own credentials, and many of the signatures he judged to be "fake" ended up being real, and vice versa. It's a shame Rick and many poor customers listened to this fraud for so long.

Appox. 6% of all Beatles autographs are authentic...94% are bogus....these are pathetic!!!
In the 60s during their heydays in touring. There road managers Neil Aspinall and Mal Evans did all the signing of autographs.

Brooooooo that’s amazing
We all know there was no auction going on with this piece. Some rich guy told her stories just to get her to do stuff in the Playboy Mansion and gave her that piece knowing it was just a display piece.
I wonder what she had to do to get that fake poster 🤔 .whoever gave her that guitar 🎸 is a genius 😂🤪
They straight up laughed in her face😂💀
The business she did at the playboy mansion didn’t pay off
That was savage.
That display is about as real as her "display"...
I need to examine that a little further :-)
Ringo's autograph it's actually pretty easy to get. I have two albums signed by him. Paul it's really hard to get...and well George and John you might have to travel to the 70's and look for them
ill buy one from ye
i've met 4 Beatles Paul, George, Ringo and Pete Best lol Ringo was the hardest
She has plenty of room of her walls 😂

I laughed too
And the seller IS STILL LAUGHING TO THIS DAY
Rick: I’m taking all the risk...
I still got a frame it......(looks at it intensely)

If I were to buy a collectible that cost $12K, I would make sure that I knew what I was doing. Before you buy any collectible, you must make sure that you educate yourself. Sad to hear that this woman learned such a hard lesson.
She was at the playboy mansion. Probably intoxicated. Probably got paid better than any time before and the money burned a hole in her pocket.

"I'm hoping to get $25,000 today for my piece"
maybe when you were still at the mansion, but not anymore, you old hare!
I wonder if rick corey or chum ever look on here if so hey guys! And condolences for pops!! Have a good new year and God bless... From Ohio
Cool, I just got one of those Hofner guitars a couple weeks ago because I wanted to learn an instrument and so I chose the bass. Didn't plan on choosing that bass model but I like how it feels and sounds.
I wish my parents would have got their signatures when they played at their club.
Would have been worth a fortune.
If Rick Harrison considers you a buddy of his, you never get a moment to yourself!!!
It's a Hoffner 500/1 Bass that became affectionately known as the Beatles bass, Sir Paul still uses them to this day. Very iconic.1964 i think with the pick guard or 65. These can be bought between £500 - £1300 here in the UK.
His Hofner 500/1 bass is officially listed as 1963, though some of its features were from 1962, so technically it's transitional. He removed its pickguard sometime during the 1966 World Tour. His 1961 Hofner bass was stolen during the filming of the 'Let It Be' film.
I'd like to sell Jeorge Harryson's thirteen string Rickenbocker. It's the guitar he played on Last Train to Clarksville.
LOL!!!!
Love this show, love the Beatles.
You can tell she's not a true Beatles fan, she just thought she could flip it for Quick Cash considering the Beatles history and they're imprinted that they left in music
Even without an expert I can judge the Bass Guitar was not a Hofner Bass and not used by Paul McCartney. The woman is a drag. A total drag.
Thing is when did she say shes a fan when she got this at the playboy mansion.
Paul’s Bass bahahahah, as if!!
John Lennon's "last autograph before he passed away" was the album cover of Double Fantasy, and he signed it for Mark David Chapman (the murderer). I don't think it was sold to anyone since it was evidence.
It has been sold at least once since then
@@postersandstuff OK, thanks. I hope Chapman didn’t get any money out of it then.
"What were you doing at the Playboy Mansion?" "I can't say"
"I got this at a charity event". lol way to embellish the story, lady
Playboy Mansion have charity events.
Paul plays a Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass and is left handed! This bass is a cheap right handed Jay Turser knockoff!
Easy to spot by the squiggly tail piece.
Such a stupid episode!
2:18 she’s said that a lot in her life 😂
"So what were you doing at the Playboy mansion?" Something you could never do.
What were you doing at the playboy mansion??? ..... I really cant say.
Next clip: I was at the playboy mansion for a charity event.
Wow, that's cold. She hooks up with some dude to raise money for a charity, and he gives her a fake Beatles display. That's harsh
Paul didn’t start playing the Hofner because it was “high tech”, he started playing it because it was cheap and they were broke kids.
"I really can't say!!! Hahaha!"
Supplying Peruvian snow is a good guess.
Er, no. This woman wouldn't last 5 minutes in that business, except possibly as some minor player's part-time GF or more likely ex. If you did buy from her, you're getting burnt for sure.
So you paid 12K for a piece of rock memorabilia that had no paperwork to authenticate it and you get mad because you feel robbed , lol the faults on you lady
I still own the first "Pet Rock" ever sold. I wonder how much it's worth today? LOL

I want to come here so badly
Anyone can pull up autographs on google. How does that make you an expert?
7:37 she thought they were gonna give her an offer
Well I’m from just outside Liverpool and I’ve got 3 genuine signed albums by them!! They were passed on to me by my grandmother who knew some of the staff that worked at the cavern club when they played there! 👍🇬🇧
So naive, she really thought something so valuable was going to be auctioned at such a low price?
“No room on her walls”
Go figure
That P-Sleeve is worn out.
I remember watching this with 8 people and as soon as I saw that I said that whole thing is fake and they did not understand what I was talking about and I said 2 things The Beatles rarely signed autographs and number 2 that bass is for a right handed bass and Paul McCartney plays the left handed bass there is no way he would have signed a right handed bass
Other reason Paul plays hofner is for the shorter scale and he only played bass because they needed a bassist, he’s a guitarist originally
She went to the Playboy mansion and all she got was fake Beatles memorabilia and syphilis.
And daily protein shakes.
I have a friend who’s an expert on all of Rick’s friends
You really think Paul McCartney's going to sign a "Jay Turser" guitar, should have set off alarms at the auction by that fact alone!!!!
Some rich dude had a great time and convinced her they are worth thousands 😂😂
I bet he got his 200 bucks worth and then some which is all that guitar is worth 😂
Hi, Im Paul Mccartney, and Id like to sell my bass. Rick: Hold on.. let me call my friend to get a second opinion...
Paul has just about only played 2 hofiners ever. His first one which he used later as backup was stolen in the 70s and just returned to him last year. His main touring one he got in 63 and was his main from then on exept for the rickenbackers, fenders, and wals
I can see her smiley face comming from that mansion.
Please, Let go Steve Grad... We need to see a real expert
You cannot look at a signature and tell if it's real or not. I couldn't even tell you if it was my real signature.
You can be 90% its real by studying and comparing the signature , for example I've studied Barbra for yrs
and can usually tell when its off
As a Beatles fan I would still love to have that even it’s a fake
She was getting trained in the mansion…Choo Choo!
