I remember watching the Pawn Stars and seeing them rip off some random old dude by saying the expert wasn’t “in at the moment due to an art exhibit” so they bought the item for $5500 and was estimated at 20-50k and Ricks backdrop is always saying stuff like, “That’s retail I can’t pay that!” But he’s going to pay past retail. They are con men and not only that; they are satanic pedophiles like the rest of them on Pawn Stars and I say repent!
Correction-
Sell past retail***
how could i send u pictures of these wierd metal found in sea by my grand parents,,
Saint S poor ol' fella got robbed bigtime
He looks like Cesar Milan !
"Lemme call my buddy who will KISS your askin' price goodbye".
Seconds later, the weasel comes in.
Good one🤣🤣
The weasel LOOOL.
"Let me call in a buddy who knows how to lowball and he will give us an appraisal"
The fraud walks in
" I gotta hang it on the wall".........
A difficult , dangerous, challenging, exhausting, grueling and hazardous 5 second job....
PHEWWW !!!
Live Wire, he has to pay to frame it to you know!
He means that it's going to take up space, and since there's only so much space and no one how it'll be there, he has to make sure it's worth it.
I would have called in Warwick. He's the rock guy. Steve definitely lowballed him
If you have a pawn business, would you rather have your expert lowball or highball the sellers item? Thought so
@@RalphVB Middle ground fair for both.
@@darreleddings5901 that's not how a pawn shop works. Never heard of a pawn shop being "fair". If you have something to sell, you must be desperate to bring it in a pawn shop
Warwick makes sense to me - signatures are only add to the value of the "gold" record's rarity. I was surprised at the appraisal.
Jimmy Dewalt Be fair and square under any circumstances. By all means possible.
( Although in reality, pawn shops never, and will never do things that way. )
Corey: "One of the biggest problems you have is that they're all still alive." Seller: "I know a guy who can fix that."
The best thing that ever happened to Pawn Stars was Steve Grad getting fired from PSA... The guy never gave a good price..
Dang. This weasel loves to devalue the items being brought in by the sellers.
Absolutely right
How do you know that Man?
@@TheCorpusOmnium There was a story about him it was shortly on the news, apparently he misjudged several signatures, costing Rick and others money, of course also the collectors who then believed their signed things to be fake. So the PSA no longer recognize him.
@@memelord_yabish7949 ıt was wise to kick him out then.
“Limited appeal”
Lol what does that mean? Everyone knows KISS. Super nice piece, I’m sure plenty of fans would pay $3,500 and up for it
Maybe because of the fact that the signatures are on a gold record, but like the guy mentioned, the band is still alive. They could go do an autograph signing and sign 1000 more pieces and you could find it for cheaper.
Jason D When I saw that weasel, I knew it beforehand that he would devalue that item.
That's what I was thinking. There are millions of KISS fans around the world this would sell no problem.
my uncle would give him a blank check
@@phettumbling9863 he always low balls in favor of Rick 😂
Glad to see a seller not desperate to sell for cheap.
Rick: “Let me call an expert on lowballing, he’s good at this type of stuff”
Expert: 🐍
Rick : I still gotta Frame it even tho it’s already framed , I gotta give it birth , Feed it , and raise it .
Expert: "In today's market, this is worth $1,500 retail."
Rick: "Ok, thanks. OK customer...the best I can do is $1.75 because, I have to dust it off, and maybe even hang it in my shop and everyone hates KISS so I may never be able to even sell it. I am taking a huge risk at this price."
Hahahaha
So true lol
Honestly, I think it would have been a good price. My friend got a huge box full of KISS memorabilia from the 70's and 80's and he asked me to sell some of it. That stuff took forever to move. When people were interested, they gave me what I was asking, but finding interested people was the trick.
Kiss fans have got to be an ancient demographic. They're the geezers that are down sizing and clearing out the clutter in their lives. KISS may still be on the road (last tour) but the fan base is definitely NOT growing at this point in time. Limited market for sure.
Who'd of thought hanging it on the wall of your own store involves a fee.
Got a kick out of that. I guess since he couldn't use the ole "I gotta get it framed" excuse he had to come up with something.
I love how he always tries to list normal business expenses like "paying commission" when lowballing somebody. Yes we know you have business expenses that's why we're selling it to you for way below retail. I can get saying that to the idiots that expect retail but when somebody is selling it for way below market value you don't have to tell them all the expenses you have.
It does take up real estate by putting it up on the wall he is forgoing the opportunity to put something else up there. There are very real costs involved.
Maybe old man's fees?
“Takes up real estate man”
That was funny
He’s giving the Kiss collector/expert a history lesson on kiss
I think an interesting side note is that, yes, while the item has limited appeal in a Las Vegas pawn shop, there is no such thing as limited appeal among collectors online - someone with 2 other gold Kiss records would pay a lot to have this in their collection.
yes, $1500
Dude rambles on about how marketable kiss signed merch is then tells him at has a limited market.
Glad he didn’t sell it that cheap.
No way is that gold signed valued at $1500. It should be a lot lot higher. Just having all 4 original KISS signatures together is so rare and unique. I'd wait a few years. $1050 isn't worth it.
Agreed. Its a 70's RIAA "floater" gold record, not a crappy recent repro made for fans. The Gold record without the sigs is at least $1000+ itself..
I'd buy it for $1,300 and I don't even like KISS. The valuation was way off.
One of my favorite movie lines is from Detroit Rock City when they reply, "NO, KISS WOULD NEVER DO A DISCO ALBUM."
Also said they would never lipsync and........ yeah, nuff said.
"...limited appeal" 😆
Seller is smart he didn't got robbed. He ended up sellin' it on Ebay for $2500.
Another case of a "specialist" helping Rick screw over a seller.
Reputable? Steve Grad?? Dont producers know his background??? Not to mention his endless lowballing.
He's reputable. A reputable scammer
This was filmed way before all the drama with him.
Lowballing... although he was supposed to be a KISS Army crazy fan member...
As if the seller is going to get the best sell price here. It just felt like a set up to show off a popular piece related to Kiss
Good he stuck to his guts and did not give in to Rick.
" I think one of the biggest problems you have is that they're all still alive"
That made my day 😄😄😄
so does that mean when you find a rock star that is on his deathbed, you start buying anything with his/her signature on it waiting for it to quickly go up in value when he/she dies?
Hey hope everyone is having a good day
All I have to do is wake up in the morning.
Bless brother ✊🏽
Thanks bro
Thank u
Be quiet.
Seller: “I have a 100% genuinely signed copy of the Gutenberg bible”
Steve Grad: “$800 in today’s market”
I guess that weasel will give you a lower appraisal. Lower than $800 bucks.
Phet Tumbling lol true. Just looking at the guy it looks like he lives in a studio apartment with a bunch of dogs and mess everywhere
Rick has a page (leaf) of the Gutenberg Bible. Rebecca appraised it at $80,000, he paid $47,000.
Everett01 I remember. But at least Rebecca isn’t a con artist like steve
That expert is convicted fraud.
I can’t stand episodes with this “expert.”
Same here..... I hate this dude...no joke
This weasel loves to devalue anything that the seller brings in. Whether it's an autographed memorabilia or a SW collectible.
Rebecca would have given a more accurate quote, and she is a book expert not music memorabilia. Also, she would have looked 1,000 times better while doing so.
Matthew Watts The seller goes from 😊 to 🙄 / 😡 / 😤
Matthew Watts naw that guy is a bum
the first guy EVER to ask more than he expects to actually get. genius
I actually agree with the seller this time..
I'm glad he didn't sell it for Ricks final offer. It's worth more than that to a Kiss fan.
That is the worst expert ever he looks shady
Thats because he is, he's a known scammer.
Bro he’s a know scammer he low balls everyone who comes in.
Rick says It cost thousands to hang on the wall lol 😆 🙃 😂
Always dislike this guys valuations and the customers right to his difference in opinion
Who else cringed when Rick said he has a buddy (fraud) that works for PSA and immediately knew this guy was gonna come in 🙄 I wonder how many fakes he’s authenticated as real
To get all original members signatures in '93, was very difficult, because Ace and Peter were not in the band. The Gold Record itself is not rare, because KISS sell them on their website, framed and all.
I love how Kiss went from being extremely marketable and huge, to somehow seconds later being limited market smh
Weasel's scamming skills is truly exorbitant
Yes I thought that. Suddenly it was a “limited” market or something. Yeah, limited to whoever bought the 100 million albums. I’m sure quite a few of them wouldn’t mind, and had the funds to shell £3k for a fully signed genuine KISS gold record. I know I would. 🤘🏻🎸
Oh yeah, they always do this
@@ytgibbo It sold for 2500 on eBay and Rick offered around the classic 1/3 of value.
@@moonbot7613 worth 2,500 all day - bit on the low side really.
I feel like rick could’ve called in the rock n roll expert on this piece too; not just the signature expert
5:26 Did this dude really just say that hanging it on the wall would cost money?
Of course it costs money!
It takes up retail space
@@chad017 Rick literally has an empty shelf on the upper left behind him as he's talking.
He has to pay himself for rental space.
And he isn't cheap...
The government has an inventory tax, They don't sell air so everything has a cost
Yeah, one of the biggest bands of the 70’s has a “Limited appeal”.😂😂😂😂
Rick: “$1000 is max, I mean I have to hang it on my wall”
Rofl best excuse ever!
His database smfh. He means Google.
What i told my self when he said that
That 'expert' is literally the dumbest guy in this show.
I LOVE Kiss! One of my favorite Bands!
'I was made for loving you' is an underrated classic. Wasn't really heavy metal rock n roll. But its a great pop disco track.
One of my favorites
Disco had great?
The thing that Grad missed is that the original lineup wasn't together in 1993. They wouldn't reunite until 1996. That alone makes this item shady.
It's not by accident that Rick asks them how much they want before he calls the expert.
Ye your right he always does it, that Steve guy I knew something was crooked about him
Last I heard, the Kiss army is planning to invade over this. Paul Stanley was heard to mutter, "I am going to make your Pawn Star a little man over this."
They should not give the price they’re asking for before they call the “expert” don’t you all think?
Makes it that much more funny when Karen comes in wanting $90 for that candy dish.
If it wasn’t that yahoo that appraised it. He under appraises everything so if he says $1500 the piece is more like $3000.
The deals are done before the show is even on. The experts do these appraisals for free, just for the publicity for their shops. The negotiations are just a formality.
Yeh I agree. That guy is dodgy as. Always low balling everyone
Not true. A seller commented on another video and he said the negotiations are very real. And the producers called him a month later saying Rick wanted his item at the counter price after all.
The biggest issue that comes into play on any deal at a pawn shop is that the emotional value to the seller is always higher than the realistic value to the buyer.
He ended up selling it for 2,500 on eBay.
GOLDƎN MOBSTƎЯ72 google lol
Dont lie for likes! There is no any link about it in google..
Vishnu Deva Research a little harder before you open your mouth and assume I’m doing something for likes 🤡
@@brianvetrano6817 please man, give me a link
MattS World I posted it.
That offer was a great offense to the Kiss Army.
Then you call them and buy it for what you think its worth, that's what really matters
_Even if that album cover looks like Gene is playing a Boston Terrier with rabies, tryin' to bite the Mailman._
Andrew Phillips Ain't no callin' will happen dude. It has been sold for $2500 on Ebay.
It sold for $2,500 on Ebay.
I have a very similar one, a vinyl of Strutter signed by all 4....
saving it for my great, great grandchildren to sell.
Update: he sold it for 8k
Good for him!
Rick: "KISS is past tense. Let's talk CCR!" 😂
"very repituble"
...calls in the fake fraud scam artist
Facts ☝️
The guys was smart to not sell it for $1,050. There will be multiple buyers waiting to buy an authentic signed kiss record. Especially since the signatures checked out. He can always show proof that they have been authenticated.
That guy is always low balling people.
Steve - There is definitely live ink on there Rick - Grad
Another line to my bingo
Did Rick really just used "I got to hang it on the wall" as an excuse to low-ball? 😂
The nails he uses are $500 each
I would love to have this thing hanging in my house !
There's a lot of autographed KISS stuff on ebay that you can afford
Rick laughs at his own jokes.
“I have a copy of the Bible signed by Christ himself” “Best I can do is $100”
To much money. I can go buy a bible and sign it too.
LMAOOO
..but it's signed by every person IN THE BIBLE! Every ONE! Even God! See the burn-marks from the Quill of Fire that signed the 10 Commandments?
Best I can do is $125, and I'm taking all the risks.
Who signed it? The Bible has many authors.
Just Another Hoosier god himself
Corey: your problem is they are all still alive. 😂
But this is season 8 so it's not like now where it would be 4000-5000 easy
"I got my tools here." Pulls out a magnifying glass and uses google images.
Kiss autographs are so common, the value just isn't there anymore. 1000.00$ is actually a good offer. That is if you can part with it, probably look better on your wall.
Anything more than $500 is too much. People want way too much money for their Kiss autographs so they can get their meet and greets paid for.
@@spike14501 I'm not sure about that. It was a nice clean piece, I would have took the grand he offered. I'm sure Rick figured some drunk guy on vacation would buy it for 15 to 1,700.
And by the way, how would you ever clean the glass without destroying the sigs?
@@rebelwithacause3574
You could be right. He should have taken the $1000. Good point about cleaning the glass. That's why the value isn't there for me.
"The biggest problem is that they are all still alive". Don't get any ideas 😂
Exactly, the guy might have said: "Hang on a minute, I will be right back."
From a scarcity point of view it is 100% true what he said.
It's not a problem to them.
He wanted 1,500.. but started with 3500 now that's big PP move 😂
Mark Cicchini is probably calling him as we speak.
"I have the original document containing the 95 theses of the Protestant Reformation, which was placed on the door of the church in Wittenberg, with the authentic signature of Martin Luther." Grad: "I estimate a maximum value of 500 bucks, at the right auction"
"I gotta frame it."
Rick has to pay himself to hang it on the wall 😂
Rick: “I gotta frame it.”
KISS takes me back to Tony Hawk's Underground in the early to mid 2000's. Happy memories for sure
Oh my goodness yes !!!
This is an insult to the Pez community.
😂😂😂
True that huge insult
Kiss rocked and the record was cool. Was fun to watch. Great video
Anytime you see Steve walk in pretty much just assume the sellers not going to get what he's wanting
Expert: Ok Rick, can you pleeease tell the camera I work for PSA. So people don't think I'm a scammer.
Rick: But you are..
Expert: But so are you
Rick: .. good point
Facts ☝️. 😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😹😹😹
“ i got some tools with me”
Pulls out a teeth whitener
It's Saturday! I hope who ever reads this comment has a blessed day and stay safe 😀
Dude it’s a Kiss debut gold record, framed and signed by all 4 original band members. Just hold on to it for a little while. The price will sky rocket. Easy worth $3000
*Scrapes signature off with magnifier*
Rick:" best I can do is 100$ now"
Wise choice. Keep it
Couldn’t use the “gotta buy a frame for it” excuse so had to use the “gotta pay commission” excuse lol
And he has to pay to hang it on his own wall
My first concert was a KISS concert.
November 2009.
I was a high school freshman.
Same here except a very different date 1985
Tbh that was a nice looking wall piece. I could see it going for 2k. It just looked dope af. Not all signed stuff they buy has that aesthetic
Imagine being a Kiss fans and Rick telling you: "Did you knew that Kiss was formed by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss?" for crying out loud
Some intern who's a millennial and never heard of the band probably did the research.
Why does Steve lowball everything
Because buyers lowball everything
Can’t wait to watch it!!!hope it’s a good buy for the shop!
rick should have bought this. It will be priceless soon
Man, Steve is such a con artist.
Signature looked nothing like the one on his “database”
because they get sloppy and quick as time goes by
5:25 he almost said I gotta frame it 🤣
I love how the. dude just whips out an iPad and Google’s the signatures 😂. Yeah great ‘database’ you got there
😂😂😂😂
Up pops the Crook Steve.
This guy looks like a white version of Carlton from “Fresh Prince of Bel Air”
Ouch! That's a low ball and a half
Steve Grad is the one they call when they really want an item but want to get it for a third of its value.
The minute I saw Steve Grad, I hit the dislike button. He's the biggest weasel of all the so called "Experts".
This expert is in PRISON for FRAUD!!👿 probably the biggest sports memorabilia scams ever👎 it's messed up he's the one behind the scenes appraising/authenticating stuff. Not sure if I'd win but I'd file lawsuits on History Channel
Steve 'Lowball' Grad, he low-balls better than my 93 year old Grandfather
Right. 😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😹😹😹
We don't need to hear about your grandfather's low balls.
Only kidding.
05:02 Imagine being someone from the band and while watching the show to hear that you are still alive... is a problem for someone else ! Hahaha!!
