Is it just me or has Cold Chisel been having a moment with Americans this past year or so? So glad other countries are getting to appreciate what Aussies have been loving for decades :)
Australia’s most iconic Rock Band having the luxury of two world class singers as well as most band members writing their songs. Wild Thing is a must from their Last Stand tour one of the best live performances lve ever seen.
The other singer, without the guitar, is Jimmy Barnes, the group's lead singer. This song was written by Ian Moss, the guitar player, which is why he sings the primary lead line.
The guy in the sweater with stripes is Jimmy Barnes. He was the bad boy of rock. He's in his 60's now and can still belt it out. Ian Moss is the one taking the lead on this song.
Such a great band and song. Thanks for the reaction should check out the 2003 live version Ringside it’s fire 🔥. Cold Chisel have 2 lead singers first one is Ian Moss the aggressive second dude is Jimmy Barnes another Australian legend who went solo for a while. Check out Jimmy Barnes “stone cold” live with Joe Bonamassa
Yeah George. I hate it when people recommend this version. Ringside is MUCH better. I always switch off completely when I see it’s this version. It’s rubbish in comparison. Never mind.
Just thinkin’ here 🤔. If Cold Chisel was an American band, would the rest of the world known them way back then ? We heard so much of our amazing music for decades here, only now are other countries hearing more and more of it.
I'm not certain if it's the same guy playing harmonica on the "new" version, but it very well could be, and if so he's gotten better. Yes, the harmonica in the Ringside tour version is better. And the guitar is over the top as well. And the vocals... Heh, it's everything this version is, dialed up about 20%.
"Who is the lead?" They don't care. It doesn't matter who is lead - they will do what it takes to make the song work. Mossy does his thing; Jimmi does his thing. It's fine.
Bow River is in the Northern Territory which is "The Top End" Ian Moss refers to in the song, in Australia the Northern Territory is known as the top end...Greatest Australian pub band ever, better than ACDC, INXS and many other great Aussie bands.... Jimmy Barnes is the greatest vocalist ever...every pub in Australia play all of Cold Chisel & Jimmy Barnes (he went solo) songs
I hit like only because I want you to do more of Cold Chisel and Jimmy barnes but this is a terrible version of this great song. I can't even watch it all the changing from one concert to another and just editing two concerts together the sound is also terrible. Until you have heard them do this song live Ringside 2003 you haven't heard this song.

It’s RUclips, people are discovering old music they never had a chance to when it was popular. John Farnham is also going viral.
It's bloody awesome to see.
It's pearl harbour all over again.
Fekin' late to the party.😂

One of the greatest Australian rock bands. The soundtrack to our lives.
One of the greatest rock bands full stop.

This is Australian Pub Rock - Legends throughout my lifetime
Its very barfight soundtrack. Best analogy of a song I've heard in a long time. It 100% is.
awesome band. brilliant song

Now you have to react to Cold Chisel and their version of Wild Thing. Energy and sheer talent puts the song into another realm.
Classic Chisel. These guys are fire.
Try Wild Thing live from the Last Stand concert next
This is an awesome version. It's the version I grew up loving. But they have a better live version now.
The "Ringside" tour in Sydney. Epic. ruclips.net/video/TdVRNDnTKTU/видео.html

Much more Aussie Rock please!.
Zebedee from Oz.👍
You like that? Cold Chisel has about a hundred more songs as good as that one.
has all the young forgotten the harmonica?
4:42 That doohickey is just a harmonica...played by an expert.
What do you type into Google to find out what the Doo hicky is 🤣🤣🤣
Aggressive mofo - pretty much the perfect summation of Jimmy Barnes 👌😎🤣

Hear hear
Big Big Rabbit hole
This version is a crappy mashup. If you watch the ringside version, 2003 I think, I promise you that you’ll never forget how to say Harmonica again.
Welcome to Australia 🇦🇺 brother. Try doing Rose Tattoo, the most underrated band on the earth.
