Excelent attention to detail & execution - 2-thumbs up !
Glad you liked it! Thank you so much!
Looks like you have some good help today.
Yes sir! he didn't last long, but I'm sure he will hang out more as he get's older.
The kid was cool could see he was happy to do that 👍👍
Oh yea, he got a kick out of it for sure. I’m sure he will be wanting to make another appearance soon.
I appreciate all the work you have put in that trunk , if it was in my shop I would call Brookville Roadster an bought a new trunk lid .
I thought a lot about just buying one, but I thought the challenge would be fun. I do collision repair for a living, so saving time is making money. But, on my personal cars, saving money is usually time well spent. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing, Phillip! Tell your son that he did an excellent job, and we'll be looking for him in future videos!
Bro Harry
I’ll try to get him to make a guest appearance from time to time.
Thats a good progress again! That helps that you have a donor trunk parts, it saves some time with the fabrication.
I'm not sure what I would have done without that donor trunk lid. Fabricating the lower section would have been difficult without that piece for sure.
It's getting there ! I like it
Yes sir! It was a hot week with temperatures around 95-105 in the shop every day. So, I waited till around 8:00 every evening to work on this LOL.
❤
👍
He looks a lot like you!
He's a little me for sure.
@@phillipshotrodgarage i can relate!
@@phillipshotrodgarage i gave your starter vid a little shout out in my last will it run video. Really dug that one
I just watched some of your video last night, but it was late and I fell asleep before that part. I don't remember seeing the bobcat, so I guess it was before that. HAHA. That's what happens when you try to watch RUclips laying in bed. So I went and watched it just now. Thanks for the shout out! It's a runner! You wouldn't think there was a engine in that pile of scrap that runs LOL.
You know.....if you buy better quality parts.... Looking good, hey Ill be happy to buy that lid back (same $$) so you can move past this project....would save you all that welding time.
What do you mean buy better quality parts? They are too expensive!
@@phillipshotrodgarage what??? Nooooo...
Better parts? Where's the challenge? How are you going to hone your welding skills? 🙂
@steveroberts4762 can you believe it, he sold me this old rusty trunk, and now he wants me to fix it and then sell it back to him for what I paid him for it. Real funny guy LOL
@@phillipshotrodgarage I'm only trying to save you time...
Good Morn' ----- Another start to another week -------- I thought he was your Producer ------- had come out to check on your audio make sure the sound level was good -------- soon ----- he'll be looking over your shoulder and whispering in your ear ------ I Think You Should Have Gone Here And Not There ------- then he will be your Supervisor ----- you might be out the door and without a job ------ Oh that will be the day ------------ On --- CRACKS --- before welding up ----- take a small drill and drill a hole at the --- very ---- end of the crack -- that will stop the -- Crack -- from traveling on further then weld 'er up ------ probably not too important on the trunk lid ---- but ---- definitely do it to Fenders where there is stress ------ Hope your ---- Producer --- has some good words for you -since he over watches your every moves from his Recliner behind all the Camera Equipment ------- I know it will be ok ----- You'll be back and with that ---- We'll see You on your next one ----- at least -- I THINK YOU'LL BE BACK ----- Rodney
I hope someday he becomes my producer. That would be great if he would do all the video editing for me haha. He will start watching me, then he will start helping me, then he will start telling me what to do, then he will start doing it for me, then he will be left doing it because I can't. That's how life goes. Have a great week!
He's still a wee bit young, but maybe you should tell him to pick one of the projects as his own. The idea of owning and driving your own hotrod would be a huge motivator, at least for me it would have been. I developed my passion without my father as he wasnt into it and wasnt around much. I think it would have been nice to work and learn with him.
Great idea. I'm sure as he gets a little older, he will begin to like these old hot rods, and hang out in the shop more. That seems to be the way kids work, they like what dad likes, and then they move on and gravitate toward what they like. Right now, he likes blue Mustangs, and every show we go to, he picks out a blue Mustang he likes. I think it would be awesome to build a hot rod with him, but if he keeps wanting a blue mustang, I guess I'll have to get him something like a '67 fastback maybe LOL. Either way, I do look forward to that time together.
@@phillipshotrodgarage Well there is nothing wrong with a blue mustang at all! Hopefully you will still be on youtube and we can all enjoy that build as much as you two will!
