Saxton Fail 2 Yeah, it’s definitely a lot better than ck2. Teenagers looked like babies and people magically became old at 50 with no aging process in ck2.
Im so glad they aren't doing portraits. Watching my kids look all the same and then suddenly looking about 40 and totally different to their child forms, not fun
Even though its a small detail, it's nice to know the text when a ruler dies is actually applicable to their stats and achievements in their life and not a 68 year old ruler dying with text accompanying it stating that 'God has taken a young child' or that he was a 'hated warmonger' or whatever
I'm in the middle of a Bronzeman game with Shajar al-Durr. I repelled two Crusades (4 crusades since the Children and Shepards Crusade events fired on me, within months of each other, at the same time as I was warring with China); getting named "The Great" after repelling the first one (Boy, did she live up to that name), United the Arabian Peninsula and formed an Egyptian Empire, Consolidated the Realm into a stable state, Feuded for decades with the Abbasid Caliphate and their descendants before eventually conquering them and becoming the first female Calipha, Gave the Jews their homeland as Cyrus once did, conquered the Principality of Antioch and Cyprus and left that land a home for Western Christians as long as they pay the Jizya (Am I not merciful?); for I am a generous Calipha (God), Restored, upgraded, built and expanded the Great works in my Realm, Pushed back the Mongol Ilkanate; stretching my land from Cyrene to the Caspian and Halfway through Persia, From Armenia to Yemen; I even turned Scrotra into a Merchant Republic that dominates trade from the Red Sea to the Indian Sea, the Nubians still pay tribute to me, Defeated China; forcing them to open the Silk Road and Traveled as far as Zhetyysu herself to fight in person, and also Survived the Black Plague that happened during the war; living to her late 90s; leaving behind the most powerful empire in the world that she has ruled over for 63 years. I never thought anything could top CK 2 for what it does. CK 3 is even better and is a superb blend of strategy and roleplay and I am already in love with it after only a few days. And the maps are *beautiful* Excellent video.
Fun Fact: Poland and Hungary were united under Personal Unions a few times. In addition Sigismund of Luxembourg once held the crowns of Hungary(& Croatia), Bohemia, and Poland, and eventually was even crowned as Holy Roman Emperor.

Reason why czechs survived German, Polish and Hungarian influence is their location. They chose a perfect spot in the middle of Europe perfectly surrounded by hills and mountains.
I picked bohemia as my first playthrough on the 1st when i got off work. Stayed uo for 2 days straight playing it. In early 12th century i became head of a revolt and while fighting the emperor he and his son died amd i became emperor of HRE! I knew he was 3rd in line but wasnt expecting that! Awesome game. I foumd myself catching feelings for my family
As a Czech, I was quite interested in this. Most of the time, I liked it quite the bit, but at the ,,We are better Austria-Hungary, because we are without Austria´´, I couldnt stop laughing. Great job on the vid.
I'm so jelly you get to play a week before us all. On the other hand, thank you for doing so because now my hype is so uncontrollably high after watching this and I know I will not regret the pre-order.
I started a save with Bohemia as well. I didnt look the names up, but i thought the starters characters son looked so promising, brillant in warfare. He died. At random. No in war or anything, not of disease. I suspect someone killed him, but besides splitting the duchy i gave him, nothing was achived. In fact, my ruler got most of the titles and control over additional provinces. Meanwhile i was stuck with the second brother of the starter which just sucked at everything. So i thought, idc lets murder some people. I killed the third brother and some dudes having fun while exploring the intrigue route.
I like how the death card at the endwasluke 'people are concerned with a woman rising to the throne' she is a whole child maybe be concerned about that 🤣
The game looks awesome. Can't wait to play! It's so cool to see a ruler grow from since he was a child count up until his old age as king of the west slavs.
Just a little detail: Bretislav kidnaped his wife from monastery. I think that he met her before, and their families even wanted to farm an alliance. However, because of his status of illegitimate son the marriage with high-born Judith (Jitka) was not possible. But he decided to do it anyway.

Well, there used to be a time when even in CK2 it made sense. Too bad update after update the whole game became quite a mess on such things.
Just seen yesterday: "Richenza died at the age of 76. Due to her eating habits, people had feared she would die an untimely death for a while now."
