I just heard this on the radio and it reminded me of what I went through. This is exactly how it was for me - awake in the middle of the night, shaking, rapid heart beat, scared, sometimes feeling like I couldn't breathe. 8 months of going to God and learning that the anxiety attacks weren't going to kill me finally ended up with me being freed from them. I no longer get anxiety attacks (unless I have too much caffeine) and never took any medication. Praise God.
I suffer heart problems, anxiety, depression, feel like my life is getting over every day. I feel like my days are being counted. But I know I have a powerful God who carry’s me each day. I can relate my self with this song because I get up every night of heart palpitations scared to death, but that’s the enemy who puts crazy things in my head. And we shouldn’t listen to him but only God. I love this song it touches my heart and it’s a relief to my soul.

Oh God so many of our youth are chosing suicide as a relief for their hurt. Please comfort them and deliver them as you delivered me from a painful past. My fiance's best friend (a 14 year old pit bull) had been fighting a rare nasal tumor for 3 years and finally decided she didn't want to fight anymore yesterday. We took her to be put down and to go be with Jesus. I pray for my fiance constantly, and while I'm in my car the Lord has been amazing by playing this song for me often. It never ceases to amaze me when my God uses music to speak to me. Thank you Lord for your continuous presence and everlasting love.

I'm with you on this. This song speaks exactly about what I go through, and the words are exactly what I say to God when I cry out to Him for help. What I went through caused me to deal with severe anxiety and panic attacks to the point where I had hard time breathing and felt so crazy. I woke up in the middle of the night, wide awake scared to death, every single night. I had nightmares every time I closed my eyes. I cried myself to sleep and woke up still with tears.
I said to God:

My family has been going through a lot of stress lately and I didn't realize it until someone mentioned that it could have been anxiety. But I know that God will carry us through this. He is more than able. I sing this song whenever I feel like it's coming back. God is greater!!!
Today a year ago I lost my Dad, BILL GROTON. I loved him so much & thought of him also as my good friend. Stumbling my way through my life a few months ago I met another Father & WOW ..he was with , my eyesme all along. Just wanted to say that this is an amazing song and God's really used it to encourage me in the midst of a really hard time. It feels like my heart is breaking, I feel lost and confused and as if I may never be happy again, but I know that God will carry me. Pretty much anything I can "find within myself" is untrustworthy, it's sinking sand, but God stands on solid ground. He's unchanging, merciful, loving, and He'll carry me when I can't help myself. I see this Lyric Video was released in early 2013, that was a hard year for me, and the years that followed were hell too, but the Father surely carried me through that time... now I'm looking to His wisdom, and I'm warring like a warrior, loved in a way the songs of the sons of man could never capture. This song inspires me so much. I feel like this song was made for me when I needed help getting through the sadness of my aunt dying and my mom being sick. I prayed and sung this song silently between me and God and sure enough he healed my Mom and helped me realize even if my aunt isn't with me now, she'll always be in my heart. God is good, and this song helped me realize this. Glory be to God! :)
Just wanted to let you know that I was so spent and out of love out of life and hopeless when I heard your song. I was raised in the church and thought that I was saved but I had pushed God away so much that I couldn't feel Him in my life anymore. When I heard your song I asked Jesus to CARRY ME OUT OF THIS DARKNESS. And He was right there with me and filled me with such love and life and hope that I had forgotten. My prayers were answered. Thank You Josh, I heard your story on KLOVE the other day, in 2004 I began to have anxiety and panic attacks and had to give up my career as a truck driver in fear that would snap and kill someone. Didn't know what it was for years. I just posted my story and a link to this video for others on my Facebook page, I have told very few about it until now. If my story, your story can help just one person that it is worth it. BTW: I Refuse became my life song in 2011 when I followed God's call!

the Lord has helped me through so much. I've been diabetic sense I was 6. I was diagnosed on September 23rd, 2003, my birthday is October 25th of 1996. I know nothing but diabetes for my life. I was bullied when I was younger because of it. I about went into the ICU in May of 2012, turned around and went right back on Jan 2013. I have managed to drop my a1c from 11.1 to 9.1. I feel God is with me each and every day. and I truly love him. He's the only reason I care to live with all this stress.
When i was 24, i started having serious doubts in my faith and God. I think there comes a time, when you need to question, what your faith is based upon, whether on friends in the church or your inner, deep knowing that He is real and experiences that you had with Him. At that time I started reading about first Christians and what made them believe even facing death and tortures. First apostles were all tortured, except John, so that speaks to me that they really knew that He rose from the dead.
