just started my trial and imported a model to follow along, what I'm noticing is when i try to select an edge its not selecting where my arrow is, or if i drag a rectangle it starts away from my arrow not sure why.
We can isolate islands, but how do we isolate an entire mesh, such as a column mesh on a temple composed of many meshes?
Double middle mouse click on the object, then isolate 🙂

I don't get that ctrl+shift function for live previewing edges selection. What is the shortcut, please?
EDIT: just figured it out, it's solely shift.
It depends on which control layout you are using, if you look at the bottom right of the UI, it shows a shortcut guide based on your control setup.

What’s the difference between virtual and real space. I use maya
Virtual Space = For models that will end up in a "Virtual Space" (think game engines, rendering)
Real Space = For UV that will be brought into the real world (laser cutting guides, printing)
My loop selection always stops at selections no matter what i set. How do I fix that?
On the right side of the UI, under the "Edge Loop" section, uncheck "Stop at Selection"
i got it. I had to uncheck and check it again. Dont know why. Btw is there also a option to gave loop selections not stop at cuts? @@RizomUV
@@prymexxxx - No there isn't, because at a cut you are reaching the boundary of an island.
could that be a future feature 👀 @@RizomUV
