Thank you for such a wonderful video. I've watched videos from other channels and it's a real treat to have the additional footage of the boat show and the flower garden.
Hiya you two. Nightmare about the drone.. Love the channel. A drone company should be very generous and gift you a new drone. Come on drone company's, be the drone company that these two vloggers sing the praises of. They have thousands of followers, you would have your money back in the blink of an eye. And plenty of good will for you for such a generous thing to do.
I loved every minute of today's 'out and about' report, excellent! Nice to see you met Amy and Wes at the boat show, I'm subscribed to their channel, too. Today's boat show video combined great with the lush orchid expo. Thank you for my weekly narrowboat treat.
Thank You for the ride along !! ...and the fancy gardens : ) ...solar electric is a perfect application for boats...especially ones that are not continuously in use ...always thought if you could get to 4 hours of run time then the free solar power would offset the fuel Thank you for the fun and good music too !!
Sorry I missed you on Friday at the show. I wasn’t feeling too great but went on Sunday. My favourite was the Swan Boats build ‘Capercaillie’. It had an electric engine but I really liked the layout. That would be a perfect layout.
Marina my husband had his fall out of the sky about 2 years ago, no reason it just happened. It was a good drone, $2500 (AUS) way back then. I brought him a reconditioned one for half the price, same as the one he lost, still using it to this day so maybe consider a reconditioned on. Great vlog thanks heaps. Stay safe and see you next week. 💕
I grew up near Kew gardens and went regularly and to the Isabella Plantation, which is so wonderful as it has a huge carpet of bluebells in the Spring which is well worth visiting. Regents Park is another favorite of mine too, being born in London I found it all so magical and miss it so much while I am stuck here in the US, I need to come home.😉 Another wonderful vlog Marina, thank you so much. Please use the wee bit of money I sent you to start off a drone fund.
Good day Marina & Myles, Another epic video with so much content, thank you . I loved you and the Poodles in the last vlog it really illustrated your love of the doggie experience .....do I see a puppy in your future. The Boat Show was fantastic it really shows how things Marine have developed since I left the sea back in 1967,I'll never regret being at sea and exploring the four corners of the world for 15 years and achieving my boyhood dream of becoming Captain of my own ship..The boats you showed were certainly gorgeous, more like 5 star hotels unlike my day of polished brass and varnished Tea and Holystoned decks I'm glad you enjoyed it, I did. Happy Birthday Myles, I bet you've never had such a beautiful bouquet of exotic orchids before, shows just how much Marina loves you. I last visited Kew way back in the early sixties, It was lovely then but even more so now. As for the loss of your dron ,I'm sorry about that as drone footage has enabled us to see your adventures in a very unique and graphic way. If you do buy another drone perhaps you could have a crowd funded way of paying for it like "Kofi" where we could all contribute a little bit and buy a new drone instead of coffee for you. This week I purchased two Stair lifts to enable my wife better mobility around our house ,and they are made in the UK quite near to the town where my wife as evacuated to during WW2 .When I told her they were made in Yorkshire she said "Oh then they will be well made, Yorkshire people are so nice." Take care stay warm ,currently -9c and snowing hard so I've got a date with a snow blower later today. Cheers and lots of love from me and Canada X ❤
Save up for a splash drone 4 They are waterproof and they are very happy landing on water. They have a raft of spare parts - then you can promote it on your channel for more dosh. We would have liked to see what you saw the insides of the narrowboats, after all the video is entitled "What do canal boats look inside" Really love your channel but this fell a bit short, Although Kew was good. Steve n Joan 😉😄
Thank you Marina and Miles for another wonderfully relaxing vlog. Maybe if we all give you a donation as I just did you can save those for a new drone as we love your drone videos. It was lovely that you had those lovely wee doggies with you for a couple of days, what a pair of cuties.❤😊
Thank u for a interesting vlog again this week. l had 4got about the boat show but how wonderful the boats have come on, my favourite was the wide beam that looked like a luxurious high end apartment. I think u should consider another drone as the footage u shoot compliments ur videos. xx💜
Buy a DJI air2s, 10 bit colour & a one inch sensor. Also you will never find a crash proof drone 😜 but I always fly a route facing forward to see if there are any things in the way & then fly it again facing the direction I want to shoot, as long as you follow the line on the map that you already made and don’t change height you’ll know it’s safe 😊
Thoroughly enjoyed that video. I think the electric boat is the way forward. I loved all the boats, preferably a narrowboat as can cruise all canals and rivers. Kew Gardens looked beautiful. ❤
Thanks. That was great - a view of the boats and then Kew Gardens and the orchids. Just by the way - I'm not a great fan of drone footage. I feel that a little goes a long way.
Miles check the flight logs and if there was a malfunction you can contact DJI and they may replace it even without DJI refresh if it was the drone that malfunctioned and not pilot error. Good luck.
The electric narrow boats that were on show there cost in between £162,000 and £290,000, the price goes up all according to how you want them set up with the solar and engine charging. Plus what you have on the interior of course.
Hi we have an electric boat Professor Pat Pending it's a ortomarine boat we launched last February and have been continuously cruising for the last 11 months with no problems we run off solar and have a built in generator to to up the batteries as required it's lovely no gas and no noise 🙂
Don't know about electric boat batteries but electric car replacement battery for a good car can cost up to $20,000.00 in the USA if there is one available.
Wish you'd turned the camera around so we could also see the inside of the boats, too. The only boat you showed us was the double wide boat which is always nice because of the room. Perhaps next time we'll also get to see what you saw.
I don't know how long it would take to charge an electric boat's batteries from solar, but it strikes me that continuous cruisers often only cruise relatively short distances and then tie up for up to two weeks at a time, which one would think would be long enough for a full recharge? In the winter, everyone moves a lot less, and many people take marina berths for the darkest, coldest months, or book winter moorings on the cut. If that's correct then solar-electric propulsion could actually be more practical for continuous cruisers than for hire boaters or leisure cruisers?
The future has to be electric however I think that a half way solution of hybrid technology will need to come first. Marina’s could make some money with overnight a/c charging. There will always be those who are more heritage minded who will want to stay with a single cylinder engine going thump, thump, thump and throwing out fumes.
Hi can I leave a warning to other people wishing to buy a narrowboat. I am an avid viewer of your channel, narrowboat will, narrowboat chef and several others including cruising the cut. If you don't like my warning to others, then please remove it. I'll post it as soon as I've done this CHEERS!
Please study and learn the behind the scenes of electric vehicles. The children that mine the lithium for batteries, the waste products of construction and what this does to our earth. The truth will shock you.

Marina I never knew you were a boxer and kickboxer.
Enjoyed your chat video. I loved your videos from the start, especially the happy laughing ones you and Myles did in the beginning ❤
Thank you for such a wonderful video. I've watched videos from other channels and it's a real treat to have the additional footage of the boat show and the flower garden.
Great video. Really enjoyed the tour of Kew Gardens. Glad to see you met Amy and Wes!
Just heard you say 4 years since you both came on Alba. My the time has gone I can remember that very first episode

Nice one M&M, thanks for showing us some gorgeous boats at the show and a visit to Kew for Myles' birthday was a great idea. Keep safe 😀xx
That was beautiful, gorgeous flowers & airplants. Not to mention pristine boats...
Happy Birthday Miles x 🎉🎊🎂🥃

Great vid, interesting change, I like the Orchard garden best ... take care
Very interesting and enjoyable vlog, loved Kew Gardens and my go to boat would be the wide beam at the show…..thank you so much for sharing 🙌👍
My Favorite was the last one!!
That was a wonderful Vlog ! Happy birthday Miles !
Beautiful canal boats, both narrow and wide beam. Loved them all. Also enjoyed the Orchid Gardens and especially the Beehive. Magical! Jenny USA
If you want to try both the dji Mavic Pro or mini 3, I have them both with the 2 different controllers.
At least you will know what they are like

Miles check the flight logs and if there was a malfunction you can contact DJI and they may replace it even without DJI refresh if it was the drone that malfunctioned and not pilot error. Good luck.
We’ve done that Gary, its over two years old therefore they don’t cover it
@@CruisingAlba Hope your Channel is set up as a business and new one written off as an expense, good luck
I hope you will be able to replace the drone. The drone footage is great!

Drones seem to be an investment that should be somehow insurable in case of loss.
Great video again Marina, did you get any prices of the boats you went on at the show?
Miles is a lucky man, you're beautiful inside & out.
Hi we have an electric boat Professor Pat Pending it's a ortomarine boat we launched last February and have been continuously cruising for the last 11 months with no problems we run off solar and have a built in generator to to up the batteries as required it's lovely no gas and no noise 🙂
Great video! How much do new canal boats cost? I appreciate they vary but just a rough idea. Thanks
I wonder how long Kew Gardens will be able to continue given the current costs of energy?
Great vlog in a different format to usual. Really enjoyed it. No chance of insurance covering the drone????
We didn’t have insurance
A wonderful video. Pleasant change from the usual. I do like the drone footage though. Sorry.
