Doesn't Alba look lovely covered in snow set amongst the snow draped trees and frozen canal 😊 a great vlog with u both doing a few odd jobs. Have a nice weekend xx💜
As always a brilliant vlog. Marina, the look on you face when you came out into the snow was priceless. Seemed to make you think of home. Take care and stay safe. Martin.
Some people binge watch Netflix, not me! I binge watch Cruising Alba. In my chaotic life that is driving a truck watching these videos is so much more than relaxing. I love this channel so much, there is something about it. Thanks guys, safe travels 🤗.
What a Winter Winderland, beautifully vloged Marina & Myles. I hope the moisture traps work for you. Marina you must have very warm hands to defrost the ignition 😂 Myles was in particular good form, made me laugh often. I think this weather brings the best out in you Marina, looking well at home and that magical sparkle you have when you engage with nature . Loved it thanks guys 👍❤️
The snow is absolutely extraordinary. We never get that here in Australia so what a treat to see it in England. Bradford on Avon looks wonderful. What a charming town. I've only been to Bath and Stratford on Avon so you're both showing me this is such a wonderful experience. Thank you so very much Myles and Marina. Best, David
Doesn't the beauty of winter make up for the cold, you have to be very careful walking on your boat in winter, the canal would be very cold, but you both are very confident in water, I am afraid of water. Thank you for your videos I never miss one and your banter and humour makes me laugh.
Boy you 2 are so funny in the best way. I had a big smile the whole volg .In my home town we had about 7 or 8 in of snow .Had to clean a 350 foot long drive way . Loved the video stay safe keep thim coming GOD bless.
I must admit i love the snow, but we don't get very much in the uk, ,and i just noticed what beautiful blue eyes you have , your fella is a very lucky guy ,keep up with the videos, 😁👍
Always entertaining, always beautifully filmed, always charming. You're a tonic. With gratitude for your hard work on creating these films. Best wishes, David O'🥰💗♥️🌈💎🙏✨👏👏xxx
A bit of advise for frozen locks... pour a bit of alcohol on the keys before inserting in the locks, if you still cannot get the key in the lock, then put a drop of alcohol in the lock
What a great lifestyle, and what a beautiful country you live in! I have been to Europe several times, but I have never been to England. I would love to go. I am especially fascinated with the canal system and the narrow boats.
Bradford on Avon is one of my favourite little towns, and I've cycled up those hills through the town. I used to like the canal side cafe called the Lock Inn.
Myles and Marina, Great Vlog as always. Video looking good with a great cometary. Always enjoy your Vlogs. Interesting that the key would not go into the ignition start, as it was frozen. Take care, and see you both next week.
Good afternoon! The snow looks lovely! I want to ask about the tiny hot plate you are using at 11:26 into your video. I would love to know where I could get one! I'm writing from South Texas. I'm a half mile from the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. We rarely have snow. Like 4 times in the last 25 years! I'm glad you're able to stay warm. And what is a falafel?
Next time you guys are in Bradford-on-Avon, drop me a line! I'm a local and would be able to give you a tour of all the best bits. I'm happy you were both able to enjoy the beautiful town.
I just knew that your filming of the recent snow would be amazing - and it was! Love that you captured the sound of the snow crunching underfoot at 6:44! And yes, definitely support local businesses :)
We got those led light strips that come with a colour changing remote, they have a sticky back ..no scews, plus u can dim them on the remote...bonus,, we use the warm white colour,
That was a nice fall of snow and how you both enjoyed it. Just like a couple of children. I'm 79 and always look forward to a good covering of snow, although it's been quite a few years since we had a decent fall. Marina, you said it was just like home, so where are you from? I don't think I've ever heard you say.. What did you think of Bradford on Avon? It's a lovely place. I've been there many times. I've actually walked the canal from there to Bath, albeit in two parts. You've got the two aqueducts ahead of you and some very beautiful scenery. xx
Can you get electric dehumidifiers in the U.K. they are used in the tropics and it’s amazing how much moisture they suck up. They make a terrific difference, worth looking into, cheaper than getting expensive mould problems.
For every degree warmer the atmosphere holds 7% more moisture. Not sure if your fireplace is sucking air from outside the boat or inside the cabin but if inside, it's drawing air through your doors etc, you are warming that air then as it cools your humidity levels will increase. Those moisture traps are just collecting water as air passes around it, you aren't really removing moisture unless it's in a closed/sealed area in my use of them.
First time viewer. I have watched many of your episodes and thought I’d subscribed but just discovered I hadn’t. Anyway, I really enjoy your low key lifestyle and it’s a pleasure to watch your videos. Thank you 🙏
Lovely vlog. I'm curious about the offset (or I guess the official name is "oblique"?) calligraphy pen - don't think I've ever seen one before. Is there any advantage of using that style vs. the straight pen that holds the nib?
Thank you for watching! I’ve learned by using oblique nib so I’m not sure how it could be with the straight one. Well I’ve tried with the straight one and I prefer the one I have ☺️
I came across your channel by accident. I had already subscribed by the second video. A nice friendly couple living what looks a great life on the canals.(not all plane sailing sometimes )can’t trace your accent though Marina, Scandinavian or am I wrong lol ?
G'day to you both from Penrith in Australia. It never snows here even in the coldest Winters. I just love seeing UK Winters. It looks so magical with all that snow. Cheers.
I have just seen you. Please see Ecoflow delta 2 portable power station only takes 1 hr now to fully charge 3600.rillanr.If ypu ask to work with them demonstrating products ypu get to keep them free. Also electric bikes .Love your chanel .x
I can only really remember snow in London and the whole city came to a complete standstill. What a crazy mess it all was. It happened in January early every year. Glad you're both on your lovely Alba warm and cosy together. It must be lovely to escape the big cities and live the life you want. Your narrowboat looks amazing. Best to you both, David
Please be careful with those moisture collectors the liquid which they contain is corrosive and will spoil furniture and fabrics, When emptying it is best to use a bucket as it is hard to avoid spillages. Please take care.
How far north will a 62’er allow you to go? I would think it’s a bit long for some of the locks. Am I right or wrong. I did see you have a bit of trouble turning some vlogs ago. Thanks for your great vlogs.

Doesn't Alba look lovely in the snow. We spent a day tooling around Bradford. Loved it...wish we could have spent more time there.
Lovely scenery and accompanying music. Quite serene. I thoroughly enjoy the historic additions. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Anne, so glad you are enjoying them 🥰💜 Big hugs xx
aww poor ducks but i guess they are quite well insulated against the cold
Be 😊 Happy
It is beautiful with the snow. I really think you could use a little wider plank to walk on the boat so you don’t fall into the canal😂
We got those led light strips that come with a colour changing remote, they have a sticky back ..no scews, plus u can dim them on the remote...bonus,, we use the warm white colour,
Those moisture traps work really well, you can also use bowls of salt, just normal table salt.
That was a nice fall of snow and how you both enjoyed it. Just like a couple of children. Can you get electric dehumidifiers in the U.K. they are used in the tropics and it’s amazing how much moisture they suck up. They make a terrific difference, worth looking into, cheaper than getting expensive mould problems.
We've not see any 12v dehumidifiers that are big enough for the space...
Wonderful Bradford-on-Avon! Beautiful scenery. Great filming. So far, what is your favourite canal that you have traveled on?
Thanks Charles, probably K&A👌

Hi Kenneth, Alba is 62 ft 💜 xx
Unlike us, ducks are cold-blooded.
Just spent 5mins checking my fire alarms, to find the beeping !
