I just purchased a split leaf plant and it really makes my home look so beautiful! What temp would you recommend bringing your plant inside? This is my first time caring for a plant. I want to give it a try.
Your english is getting better and better! Congrats for the great videos, mate! Miss talking to you, sorry about being so gone, I'm in a rush these days.
My Tree Philodendron is right next to an east window. When I first got it, I read that it might get spots on the leaves if it got too much sun but it would get used to its location and mine has. It gets a few hours of direct morning sun but then indirect light the rest of the day. I just recently reported it from it's original soil and it seems to be much happier. I think I'm about to start getting some new growth.
I JUST got home with a “clearance rack rescue” of a 3.5-4.5 foot split leaf philodendron. It needs help. Any suggestions of sites or other awesome YT plant peeps? You are such an amazing help and inspiration. xoxo Thank you SO SO much for your amazing channel.
I haven't seen many sites or channels talking about the split leaf philodendron, that was one of the reasons for us doing that video. I'd start by checking it for thrips or other bugs, they love to hide behind those big leaves.
Spilt leaf philo: There are opinions that it is slow growing! Is this true? Through my follow-up, I found that it is not slow, but depends on moisture and good fertilizers
That's a good question. You would have to both try to propagate the top and see if the bottom chunk grows new leaves, but I'd say it's risky. Depending on how they are growing, you can also try to redirect the plant to grow closer to the ground...? Not much of a help, but if you want to see some huge Philodendrons in nature, I have some here: ruclips.net/video/Se3I3WudrjM/видео.html
When the trunk has no more leaves will they eventually grow back? My trunk has come out of the soil a few inches but all the leaves have grown out and some fallen and my part of the trunk sticking out has no more, just some coming from the sides from where it’s grown little babies on the sides I’m guessing
Hi I just got a split leaf philodrendon and the leaves are sun damage, now do I cut from the bottom of the stalk or just remove the leaf it's self? Thanks ☺️
I love this plant. The one I have is 38 years old and we have moved it all over Texas. Thank you for the tips.

I think they are more aggressive growers, but they'll do much better outside
I have a several HUGE ones on the shady side of my house, like 7+ feet tall. Is there a way I cut the trunk a few feet down to make them shorter?
