  • Having a small trailer is great but storage can be challenging at times. The pop up fire pit solved many problems for me such as having a nice fire where ever I go and also not having to carry or bring along a grill. It also helps when you arrive at a camp site and the fire pit that's already there is full of garbage or left over unburnt wood that someone left behind. below are the links to purchasing these items. Hope it helps.
    QUICK NOTE: THE CORRECT MEASUREMENTS ARE 3/4 INCH ALUMINUM TUBING AND 7/8 INCH TUBING (SHOWER CURTAIN ROD) FOR THE OUTER TUBE.

    What type of camper do you have?
    Can you please give me the information about it?
    I’m in the market for a new camper
    Thanks

      No problem. In this video the camper that I have is called the Intech Explore. It’s a great camper that takes up little space and very functional. The company makes great quality campers.

    Yer good mod. Means can get more smoke. Great for fish. Or bigger piece of meat. Cheers

    Hey! Are the measurements for the pipes/tubes to raise the grill off the pit, inside or outside diameter, please?

    • @FindingJay
      @FindingJay  Год назад +1

      Great question. So I had to measure again to make sure I gave you the correct size.
      The (inner) diameter would be 1 3/4” on the bigger one and the (outer) diameter in the small would be the same. The small one would go into the large and the large would rest on the fire pit poles. The clamps for the top grill grates would then fit on top of the small one acting like an extension instead of the original fire pit poles. Hope this helps.

      @@brettferguson6954 one thing I didn’t mention is the height. That will depend on comfort but around 6” is what I went with. Keep in mind the longer you go the flimsier it will get.

      @@FindingJay I'm slow, still don't get that. The inside dimension is 1 3/4? Where does the 7/8 part come in?
      You bought two chunks of pipe 2 different sizes? Thanks.

    • @FindingJay
      @FindingJay  10 месяцев назад

      @@cabracove no problem. I don’t have a problem helping. Let’s forget my measurements for a minute. The easiest way to explain it would be to tell you to measure the posts on the frame of the grill first. What ever that measurement is you want another piece that size like if you were just extending those posts. Now you need a tube to hold that new piece to the post that will fit snug around them so the bigger ones inner diameter has to be the size or slightly bigger than the 2 your trying to join together almost like a sleeve. Hope this helps but if not let me know and I can figure out something a bit different.

    Product looks good, compact and although “shaky” it looks like it stood firm to holding food and then the scrubbing clean after
    Maybe a channel for lessons on how to cook steak too. The steak looked amazing, recipe please - I’m bad at that. And where did the rice come from? Funny that can’t do without rice in the wilderness, lol

    • @FindingJay

      😂😅🥲…..I need my rice. I will definitely be adding more cooking to my channel. The grill grate was super sturdy and only had a small shake because I added height to the clamping arms. This camping travel fire pit and grill set is well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for easy bring along set up for sure. Thank you for the comment and ideas. ❤️

    Been using the Pop Up Fire Pit for a little more than a year and I really like it and the mesh has held up surprisingly well. I agree about the grill bag being too small and that the zipper should go around the ends like the fire pit bag. They dropped the ball on that one. Liking the mod and gonna have to give it a try.

      Thank you for watch and commenting. I did rewatch and noticed an error in my measurements. If your going to try this the correct measurements are 3/4 inch aluminum tubing from lowes and the shower curtain rod was 7/8th. Hope this helps
