Fedex is an almost perfect combination of very fine skill, speed, accuracy, unbelievable ability in reading opponents' shot directions n very smart n elusive shot directions of his own. Only one Fedex.
Isner did serve terribly throughout the match, there is that. I think he lost this match way before he even stepped on the court. These guys that are in complete awe of Federer all have that problem. You gotta believe Roger is a nobody that you can easily beat. Starts there.
@@TheAudioman15 either way he was only broken once so his serve didn't cost him the match, federer was returning serves not even djokovic would get. he's by far the best of all time of getting those massive body serves, did it all the time against roddick, fed rly never had problems with big servers
Had forgotten about this match, Roger must've been thrilled to escape this one in 3. Such small margins against Isner, I think that chunked FH volley at 4-2 in the 2nd set tiebreak proved his demise in straights here.
@@andrewkarlsson8621 I think he could have won 2017 if he was not hampered with a back injury going into the event which disrupted prep. Even 2019 he looked solid till the back injury popped up against dimitrov
Jonathan McMillan I think he is inferring to the fact that roger outplayed isner despite his extraordinary power, as we can see from roger returning the insanely good serves. No disrespect to isner, just praising federer
I've never seen Federer running like that. But he probably understood that he can't outhit Isner with his power, so he started leveraging his movement to rush Isner and exploit his lack of movement.
With a 2 hander it's naturally easier than a one hander, although 1 hander provides you more freedom, it doesn't necessarily provide you the power which Roger generated in that flick.
If Isner would just work on his forehand extensions he could get so much more power, but then again, there's probably a reason why he doesn't if he hasn't already

as a Fed fan this match pissed me off... This is practically peak RF the most complete and great player of all time and a one trick pony gave him a run for his money in every set... Just disgusting
The one-trick pony's trick was firing really really well. As a Fed fan, this was quite a satisfying match. Fed was on the hunt all the time, trying to break, and was mostly safe on his own serve.

How Federer keeps returning Isner’s crazy serves is beyond me. Simply extraordinary.
yea and Roger returns his serves like at the baseline too, I would not attempt that. LOL

Probably one of the best matches Isner ever played.
And he couldn't even get a set.
3:09 That volley drop shot is like "The Prince of Tennis" animation.

in 2015 Roger was in GREAT shape. Such a shame Nole had one of his best years...
This might have been Federer last chance to win US open he did not drop set before the final and would won it easily if not for Djokovic.

Power can never beat brain and skill
Isner has beaten Roger twice before
Are you saying isner is dumb and doesnt have any skills?
Its kinda sad how you disrespected isner like that
Narit Phoonsawat Federer can never beat Djokovic in a Wimbledon final

As good of singles i have ever seen from John. He was sharp!
That shot at 17:09 was something only Federer can do!

I'm a Roger fan but this shot was honestly not great, it should've been a put away volley for isner. He choked that one worse than me 😂
I’m your 1000th sub
*What a phenomenal match! Good play by Isner but no match for Federer the GOAT!*
15:34 ball boy shouldn't catch the ball before the second drop. It's the rule and you don't know what Federer can do.
Where was this match 😱😱 Absolutely mind blowing !!!
Fiji
Romania
Madagascar
Ethiopia
Rhovanion
One of Roger's most clutch performances.
Fed is the Ryu of tennis.
3:14 shot of the year
why u didnt show isner successful server?
Редкая хорошаЯ игра Изнера..)))

One dimensional, but it’s not easy to take the serve away.

I've always hated Isner. the most lazy player who celebrated laziness as a kid. so glad he never won anything.
