Yeah I second what@@CoalkerCloaker said. I think this video is fantastic but you should have input history on. The lack of input history made this video hard to follow along with when I first came across it a couple weeks ago. Now that I've spent time in the game I can follow along but it was a challenge.
the first combo at 0:28 is ewgf ewgf 3,1 ff 2 b2,1 T! df3,2,4 (ewgf is done by f,n,d,df:2) hellsweep combo at 0:43 cd4,1+2 T! uf1 MCR 4,2,1+2 4:40 he does b2,3 into cdws2
the way you organized the guide is very easily digestible and helpful. you kept the parts that are easily searchable short such as the punishes and bnbs and mostly talked about the gameplan and tools. if i could add one suggestion, i think a top 10 moves section near the end would be useful for future guides. thanks for the content.
By far the best guide I've seen for devil jin, could easily find everything I was thinking about and even learned 5-6 new things that I could start working on as well, Thank you for such a good video!
Wish I could, but I can’t push out a 30 minute guide on how to WWA 😭 fr tho, I’ve just been trying out other fighting games and between SF6, MK1, and now Tekken I had a lot of learning to do which took away from my Strive time.
So as a new D.J player theirs a hell of a lot of info here. I'm gonna take that hell sweep into laser and see what i can do with it first. I'll be back and thanks for the guide.
My issue with this game, is EVERY input is a move. So if you accidentally fudge up an input, you're not gonna get nothing, you're going to get some random ass move that you didn't want and most likely get punished for it. You have to be perfect to be able to do what you want
@@letoaswraith you can say it about any low that -13 on block. But majority of characters can’t launch -13 lows. So they are *mostly* not launch punishable
@@M1ROHPLAY your Point does not make any sense nor is it logical. It can get launched = launch punishable. Theres no discussion abt it no matter how many Characters are able to do it.
What's the combo input notation for the Samsara combo around the 25 minute mark? I know Samsara is u+4 but I don't see the follow up on the move list for the combo. Thanks
How do I do this at 12:08 ? I hit down + 1 to do the special Low jab. Then tap forward. Then do + 2 and it doesn’t immediately do the standing move. I press forward after the low to cancel ?
Ok so I hit down + back + 1 and then tried back , forward + 2 I am missing something really small… maybe I am just not understanding this cancel thing If u could help with this last piece it might answer a lot of other people questions. This move is important as a lot of people duck to avoid us
Probably not, immediately after putting this out I started picking up Feng haha. I strongly recommend checking out Momo for the highest level Devil Jin gameplay as well as in depth tech guides. I really hope this guide provided a big picture overview of what Devil Jin's gameplan looks like.

@@baccpack I missclicked, not bf1, I wanted to write bd1. After bd1 you say we can cancel it by pressing forward and instantly make bf2,1, and I see it in your video. But I don't understand how you did this, I make the same and DJ does nothing

@@baccpack thanks for you trying to help me, but I still don't understand - I can't press any button after db1, until I stand in neutral position and only then buffered input makes jabs or while standing attacks
Rock-Paper-Scissors meaning a situation where both players can interact. A weighted RPS means that someone has advantages over the opponent through the access of certain options.
@@baccpack the move is slower than a snake edge. It’s basically useless at high level. Contrary to popular belief Devil Jin’s heat is not that good compared to the rest of the cast. His heat smash isn’t great either given that it doesn’t wall splat or floor break like the rest of the other heat smashes in the game. That’s on top of the fact that it’s terrible on block and puts Devil Jin in a bad situation.
@@TheUnique69able it definitely gets worse at the higher levels. As far as heat smash goes, I think the threat of it being used in neutral is so scary that it justifies the potential RPS when it’s blocked.
Please leave feedback for future guides I make on this channel!! Also, I was very sick when recording this so apologies for the voice.
turn on command history maybe

if only the control buttons thing was there so i can see what bro was pressing the whole time 😭

Hell yeah!
Great video! This is exactly what I've been looking for.
Thanks for checking it out!
the only thing missing in this vid is the command history, I don't quite follow some of the terms but its a good guide
Considering the brawl titles I thought this was going to be a tekken brawl where a devil Jin just ran the bracket lmao
LOL
