  • Comparison between Mid-High end Japanese reels, Shimano Ocea Jigger F Custom and Saragosa SW vs cheap budget Chinese reel (Ryobi Varius, Ryobi BT Jigger, Lurekiller Saltist, MCraft, Topline, Aojiang Shark, ougafish) and a bunch of generic Chinese copycat
    a viewer commented that a budget Chinese reel, Lurekiller is similar to Shimano Stella.. this is not true at all!! a cheap Chinese reel will never match japanese reel quality. you get what you pay. there is no way you pay little money and expect high level quality reel.
    this video compares what you will get between a good japanese products VS cheap budget Chinese products. do not expect a cheap reel will match a good japanese reel. you pay extra $$ for the quality.

    You can shim the play out of most knobs, with micro shims, until it sits perfectly on the bearing, without restricting it's spin.

      @jwanglerz8500  11 месяцев назад

      You can do that, but it won't make that reel (lurekiller) be any smoother than Shimano. It is the machining tolerance that makes the reel smooth

      @@jwanglerz8500 All I meant is you can take some of the play out of the knob on it's shaft, making it feel a little less rickety. I am a reel service technician btw.

      @@Tight--LiNeZ but the reel still feel shitty. Do the knob job wont make a shitty reel feels better. Like this high end reel Shimano Daiwa can close shop go bankrupt already

      @@jwanglerz8500 I never said it would make a cheap reel not feel shitty, I simply said you can reduce that slop in the knob shaft you pointed out. I don't like cheap Chinese reels.

    Thanks for the review was wondering if saltist lurekiller would be usable

      It is usable, but don't expect it to feel smooth as daiwa or Shimano feel

    Your video just convinced me more to buy the LureKiller reel, you couldnt event mention 1 bad thing about it, loose parts so what even my shimano sahara and daiwa legalis are loose from how hard I bash them, I am only afraid from the roller bearing moving but I will be using 0.4mm braid so shouldnt be a problem I think

    请问ryobi ranmi bt收线时顺滑吗?玩沉底石头大概500g收起来时会不会很重?

    160$ for lurekiller?? no bro you paid too much. I just bought one from the company for 64$ usd including shipping. I would not buy if it was more than that i would get daiwa bg for 110$

      I think you are referring to USD while I am referring to SGD. I bought around $120 SGD, convert to USD around $80 plus. But you mentioned you got it from a seller for USD60 is a steal. Mind share the link where to buy?

    What I don't get is: They obviously don't care about copywrites & copying brand names etc, so why make that spin reel look like a shimano stella, then call it a Saltist? a midrange Daiwa reel. Why not just call it a Stella?

      Agree, but must see its condition. You don't want to end up with a Japan 🍋
      I buy cheap Chinese reel for bottom fishing only, where sinkers weigh easily above 400grams. I won't use Japan reel for bottom fishing because reeling heavy weight constantly can easily wear out the reel gear. very fast the reel will feel grainy

      @@jwanglerz8500 I use 8 Daiwa sealine reels catfishing 27H,30H, 47H & 50H and throw up to 10oz lead river sinkers plus a hand sized bluegill. So far mine have been bullet proof & these are late 80's reels mind you. Can they break, sure but a guy who repairs reels for a living told me these sealines are the most over built reels he's ever serviced. I could see with the weight you're using just about anything is probably going to get wore out so I don't blame you

    We all know you can’t compare the quality between knockoffs and the real deal. The million dollar question is, do the knock offs bring the fish home? How many times can you use it before it falls apart on you? Who cares if it’s loose if it still works after 5 years. But if it falls apart after 2 tuna, then it would be more expensive than the real deal. Please use the knockoff and let us know how it holds up.
