i own 2 2017 scorpion dc jdm models i love em. i bought a curado dc american version at the beginning of this may & it was horrible so i took it back & bought a 2021 scorpion dc jdm. me personally i wont ever buy an American version of dc reels. i love ya content bruh keep them coming. God bless ya.
Love your videos. My first was a 2019 US SLX DC. I now have 4: a 20 JDM Conquest 200DC, two JDM SLX DC 70 (regular and HG), and a 23 Antares DC MD HG. I know you don't like round reels, but if you pair them with a rod that has a "drop seat," it makes all the difference.
Hey man, Ive been coming to your content for a while now because you're one of the few content creators who fly fish the canals. Its nice to see people actually succeeding out here in phoenix. Ive been trying to go out to the canals and get some catches myself but I really have no idea what flies im supposed to throw. 😭 Honestly I'm quite lost with a fly rod in general (Ive really only used spinning and baitcast setups), itd be nice to see your advice on what flies to throw for what species and what weight rod you use. Thanks man.
I own most of the high-end Daiwa and Shimano reels. One is not better than the other. They both have their shortcomings there will never be a perfect reel in my opinion and if there was such a reel all of the competitors would be out of business and as far as round baitcasters go, to me they rock
That 2007 Calais was my first and last DC reel I've ever purchased. It was a Toad at 10oz. I get plenty of distance with my Curado's, Mets. Aldebaran and Zillion. I don't cast Spinnerbaits straight into a headwind.😆
The Curado DC is probably the most popular and iconic DC of all time in America. I own 6 DC reels and my favorite DC reel is the Conquest DC, it’s so beautiful to look at in person but I’ve been using the new 24 Metanium DC the most this year with Vision 110s for stripers and bass. Hope they can one day release a new DC BFS.
Tempting but I am a Daiwa fanboy. Shimano just couldn't be used for my technique n game. Micromodule would turn into dust fighting those Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, baby GT n giant snakehead. Also personal opinion daiwa T wing system is revolutionary
I’m a Shimano guy but Daiwa baitcasters usually have a little more drag than Shimano. Shimano uses centrifugal/dc while Daiwa uses magnetic. The T wing system is special. Less friction when casting. Only bad thing I can say about Daiwa is that most of their high end reels are overpriced imo compared to Shimano high end reels. When it comes to BFS, they are pretty much even for performance. Daiwa is also more Saltwater friendly and user friendly.
@@saraieatsstirfry5537 I'm a saltwater guy. I'm used with Shimano reel. They're drag n gear are honestly more suitable for light game. Their Monster Drive lineup might be suitable but for me personally I really love the t wing. It did wonders
15lb light braid with 8lb leader on my 17 scorpion DC feels like walking on clouds when I’m using it. Thanks for the vid. 🙌🏽

DMK in China has come out with a low profile DC BFS reel
That Cardiff DC reel I’ve been also eye balling for some time but like you mentioned it’s ridiculously priced for what I’d be willing to pay for it.
Very Cool Video
do a video on all your rods pros/cons with each. just bought s 22 slx dc and need to pair it with something
I own 5 2021 Scorpion DC. 🤣🤣😘
Is there a difference besides warranty on the Shimano 22 Aldebaran BFS XG RIGHT Bait Reel From Japan vs us ?
What about 2023 SLX 70 dc?
MY GUY! Do I get a 2012 Exsence DC or a 2021 Scorpion DC
SLX dc XT or Scorpion 17 dc.
watch my video on the Exsence before you decide ruclips.net/video/Al0ff5pC46I/видео.html
How did he cast 100 yards with the 20' slx dc 70? What lb line?
I cant remember but it was like 4 years ago, and he did a semi pendulum cast.
Probably light-ish braid
So slx dc xt better at long cast or metanium dc 2024
that would be a good vid

I did a video showing Twing makes little to no difference, its more fluff than anything
👏🐟🎣🌟🇧🇷
Newbie here... Can someone please tell me what DC stands for?
Digital Control. A smart breaking system that helps you with backlashes and more.
Daiwa crusher

@@andreas7048 Thank you!

Who cares about shimano “my dc reels “ like a hype beast
Best reels on the market man. From the all all the way up they are extremely nice. Used to be a huge hater until I tried one now I own 3 lol.
@@imdjaymac8399mgl reels are way better than dc reels lol
obviously you do
@@imdjaymac8399 they’re not the best on the market but they are nice… MGL reels r better
Sounds like someone who can't afford a dc reel.
