I see what you did there Tom.
This is a great in-depth tutorial. I'm also working on my lateral split. Thanks!!!
I've been working on this lateral split in the evenings with a bench, my new favorite stretching assistant. Great tutorial!
I just tipped how to unlock middle split and one of my fav calisthenic channel just dropped a video ❤
Thx👍👍
thanks man🤜
Wonderful!!! What is important is not how much… but improve our flexibility to improve our whole health… flexibility is freedom both physically and mentally…
Thankyou watch our clips too
Great information Daniel!🙌🏿👏🏾🧘🏾♂️💪🏾💚🐲
Great vid. I've been trying to regain my leg flexibility and this has been a goal of mine for several years now. Just haven't put much action to it until last year. Making progress slowly but surely, and I'm sure this tutorial will help a ton! Thanks Daniel!
Underrated channel
Thankyou watch our clips too
The Frog stretch is a solid one and plays the major part in my progress. Without it, im barely making any progress.
Wouldn't mind more flexibility tutorials from you !
It's just impressive how Daniel can produce such a high quality in-deph video that does not feel rushed. Instead its easy to follow and straight to the point. Aewsome job man!
Thankyou
Front Splits next please!
I was watching your podcast with movement with David love your work
FitnessFAQs podcast #36 is a must listen for people wanting flexibility facts.
Great video Dan! Do you think the horse stance is not as effective for training the splits?
Just what I needed, Half way there but struggling.
I feel other muscular imbalances are hindering it.
Many Thanks for One of Best Video.
Thankyou watch our clips too
Please do one on the pike fold.
So Inspiring bro❤
Thankyou watch our clips too
Great video, I really liked the exercises, but I’d like to know how you structure them in your workout regimen, and if you could lay down a stretching workout routine for us from beginning to end - that’d be great😁
1x per week frequency is enough for most people. Shop my side split pro workout on fitnessfaqs website for my full workout.
You can achieve it if you persevere; I started at 78 and did full side splits and pancake by the time I was 80. I am now 86 years of age and do side splits every morning; I have never had an injury. Good luck.
I’m having trouble with Figure 4 from the video. I’m just falling off to the either side instead of feeling anything getting stretched and preventing me from just dropping to the floor.
I had hip labrum surgery a year ago. Is this safe for me to try now or ever? I have horrible flexibility and would love to improve it thanks
where do you get a yoga mat that's tall enough for you? as someone 6'4 its impossible for me to fit on regular length yoga mats, and you also are tall if i recall.
Funny to see you struggle with the lotus seat while your split is insanely good. Have you touched the ground before? I can't remember seeing it in any videos but at this point you should get there easily if you stretch for another 20 min or so.
Especially the isometric hold at this level is insane
Working those agonist / antagonist contractions in isolation isn't easy for me. I'm satisfied with a shins to floor side split.
Knock knees correction, any home workouts😢
I never understood the connection between tailors pose and splits. I've got a solid split even over split but sure to several knee surgeries my tailors pose left side looks like I've never stretched before.
I agree! I only do it because everyone says to but I don't always feel the connection to side splits
This guy could be superman. Hell he is superman😂 dude is jacked
👍
👍😊🙏
I am finna become kanye yeast with this training
Better aim for Kanye West! xD
THANK YOU DADDY
this looks really seductive
Wow the timing is crazy, i just made it a goal a this weekend to finally get flexible and already so sore
Thankyou watch our clips too
Feiyue = better flexibility
Your side split looks very nice, but are you anatomically not able to touch the floor with your pelvis?
if he rotates the hip (pointing the feet up) its prob possible for him, the way he is doing, the knees and ankles stop you before the pelvis touches the ground (atleast when i do it his way)
Ahahhah. The other commenters are hilarious
👍👍👍💪💪💪✊✊✊🙏🙏🙏🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Why most of the comments are AI porn ads? Wtf?
Dumb porn bots plague fitness comment sections. It's so annoying.
If I could do a split, I would be ashamed of it and never show it...

😱nice video - but unfortunately it's another one of those videos that will make beginners and really stiff people despair. Such a split without significant external rotation in the hip is completely abnormal and not even Jean-Claude Van Damme did it. Such splits usually only work with a dysplastic hip or to the detriment of the hips! And: what do you need it for? A NORMAL abduction per hip is 40-45° = 90° split - if a martial artist can do 140-150° that's super good🥸
That was my dream to splits in the middle of Hong Kong sky-scraper like Jean Claude Van Dam in the movie -Blood Sport. But damn it’s so hard.
@@usrIO30581l get a little bit or more of external rotation in the hip - than it is easier - but you're right - it remains hard
there's nothing wrong with having a wider abduction range, it's not to the detriment of the hips, and the degree of external rotation needed is entirely depentendend on each person's anatomy. plus the video covers appropriate difficulty progressions for beginners. stop fear mongering and talking about hip dysplasia in a perfectly normal and safe exercise such as the middle splits
Has he not stressed that if you have pain or you're not able to do it then don't? It's amazing how these people make comments that make no sense before they do their homework. Thank you for these exercises I have not been able to do all of them or go as far in range of motion but it is definitely helped. 👌👌
@@davidcarver9795 Why always get personal? It's not about the exercise structure in this video - it's really good (nothing new) but certainly enriching and motivating for many - my problem is that "normally" flexible people are suggested that they can do something like that at some point - and I don't have a RUclipsr yet found from the training area, which creates an exercise structure for really stiff people and simply shows "normality"... Tom Marrick, for example, was never really stiff before he achieved the maximum split... And also: I'm happy about everyone, who does it so well... keep practicing :-)
God loves you so repent of your sins and be baptized..He gave His life for you so that you could have forgiveness of sins and eternal life
How are your one-handed pushups doing? How disgraceful.
