For folks asking:
(1) You turn by leaning your weight to one side or the other, just like a skateboard. Kinda.
(2) The extra wood extending from the front is necessary for the machine to balance. Without it, because the ridder is seated towards the back, you would just lean backwards like a rocking-chair. For Ever. The alternative would be to put a brick or something in-front, but keeping balance will still depend on how fast you pedal -- you can see he doesn't stay perfectly centered throughout the test-ride.
(3) It won't go all that fast like this. You could up the speed by introducing a series of gears or an internal combustion engine, but who has time for that?

Small thing I just want to say instead of using a shop vac and trying to get every bit of saw dust you could just sweep up all the saw dust in a pile and then use the shop vac, way less tedious
But then no slow-mo vacum
It's even wise.
You actually don't want to do that, since you'll sweep all the small dust particles into the air. You'll breath in those and that's really bad for your health, since you're not able to couch the small particles out of your longs. Best way is suck the dust away while sawing, and always ventilate and wear a proper mask!
