Make sure your Unifi switch port doesn’t have ‘Traffic Restriction’ enabled - that broke everything for me until I found the setting. Video was very helpful, thank you.

Great and to the point video, Do you have examples where the ER-X is dual WAN where one is local ISP the other remote (eg DHCP Relay) where I can have SSID's configured for each ? The idea being the AP's locally are actually managed by a remote UDM.
I know this is a big request but I would appreciate a video on setting up a network with a USG and a Unifi switch and specifically configuring multiple segregated VLANs. And then give some "Allow" examples across the VLANs. Like allowing a Roku device etc. I've done this on Edgerouter but am moving to a USG for simplicity. Thanks and appreciate your thorough videos

Hello, I only have a Edge Router X and a AP AC lite. Internet comes in on eth0 and the AP AC lite is plugged into eth4. All devices connect to the network via the AP AC lite. Is it possible to have two VLANs set up with this hardware configuration? No matter how many videos I watch or hundreds of hours I spend trying to get this to work on my Edgemax 16 XG switch and pfSense router, it NEVER WORKS. No VLAN tagged device *EVER* gets an IP device from the DHCP server I specifically setup on pfSense. I've spent YEARS trying to do this. I would love to pay someone to try their own instructions on my network and see if they can get it to work. FYI: I have 40+ years experience with computers. I work at a Fortune 100 company in the IT department and have dozens of network certifications. Everything works in a professional environment, but not in my home setup. I'm completely baffled.
What is switch0 on Edge router? Is that a physical interface where u r creating L3 interface for vlan 10 and 20? I am confused. The way I do on most enterprise router is by directly creating vlan interface under physical ports. The way u did on edge router is by creating vlan interface on switch0 and then making switch0 to be vlan aware.
Me think the more ports is could be handy to have internal switch functionality for convenience. I have the ER-12 my switch0 has max 8 ports of the 12 where Dual WAN take 2 of the 8.
Well I check it out , easy to find on the Ubiquiti site. Some type of ER have Switch chip to connect some port. Because without it switching is software task en can be slower. That is bridging. While Switch chip accelerates the switch task. Guidline is that without switch chip it advised to attach a switch to it. instead of bridging. The ER with switch Chip you can use a few port in the same LAN without performance hit.

Hey. You should get around 500/50 from the edge router x . For the USG it drops to 85mbps if you have threat management turned on

Hey well the UDM pro is a firewall. You can set it up that it drops all WAN traffic incoming which is usually done by default on the other plateforms
