    Here's a little tip for anyone trying to thread either a new Break Line or Clutch Cable (more applicable to clutch cables but whatever).
    Once you have your Clutch cable detached at both ends, use a Cable Tie or "Zip Tie" to tie one end from your old to one end of your new cable together, then simply just pull, gently swaying back and for to give it a bit of a wiggle, the cable will follow your new cable perfectly through all the cracks, gaps, holes and crevices that are in the way without having to remove fairings or other parts of the bike. Just bare in mind that you may have to still remove a small metal clip that is often used to keep all your wiring together however, this generally is accessible and takes little effort to remove and replace. 👍 ♥
    Just a side note this may not be applicable to ALL bikes, I know for a fact that it works with Yamaha, Kawasaki, Triumph (Daytona models), KTM and Aprilla however I can't be sure about Ducati or Harley.
    Anyway I hope this helps some people.

    User manual says to replace the rubber brake pipes every 4 year, so they remain relatively stiff. However once you change to steel pipes you'll immediately notice if you sit back on a bike with rubber pipes. For example I have the steel pipes on mine, and a few weeks ago I tested the 2018 MT-10 and MT-09 and both have rubber pipes, and the whole brake-feeling was just so bumpy. I felt like the brakes are not precise enough. So yeah, if anyone asks me the steel braided pipes are must haves :)
    cheers

    • @ChaosCauses
      @ChaosCauses  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks bro I knew there was an interval where you had to replace them but I couldn't find it! But it's definitely needed every few years because after 10 years it's a bit too long lol!

    1:47 i can confirm that my 2017 R6 came with stupid rubber brake lines... such a pity since it wouldn't be that expensive for them to put on some steel braided ones stock

    • @ChaosCauses
      @ChaosCauses  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks for verifying that with me! It is a shame and an odd decision by Yamaha but not too difficult to fix.

    • @Kid574
      @Kid574 6 лет назад +1

      Chaos Causes yeah indeed an easy fix and definitely the first mode one should consider. So much better feeling on the brakes, plus no brake fade

    • @michaell837
      @michaell837 5 лет назад

      Well I get your point but it actually is very expensive for them. Let's say those brake lines cost about 20$ per bike more.. now do that x50000 units. $$$$$$$$$$

    Bleeding dry system is easier when done from bottom up. Attach a hose to to caliper bleeder valve and use a syringe to push fluid upwards. You don't have to do it perfectly, just enough so the system is primed with brake fluid. After that bleed the brakes conventionally.

    In Europe all european bikes have metal braided lines, Rubber lines should be illegal and only for bike with 50cc engines

    • @K12-n5l
      @K12-n5l Год назад +1

      This is not true. Alot of triumphs, ducatis, KTMs, and aprilias still come with rubber lines. What are you on about? Yes steel braided lines are way better, but plenty of manufacturers still put rubber lines on their bike.

    • @Wolfox360
      @Wolfox360 Год назад

      @@K12-n5l Black doesn't mean rubber, metal braided lines are also black. Maybe you talk about 125cc or scooters, that could be. But majority are metal, you recognize first from lever feeling and terminals. Even the Chinese companies are using metal braided lines and they are actually starting from zero!

    i was thinking of getting them on the 2018 cbr500r of mine just for the hell of it, the brakes on the cbr usually gets the worse opinons that theyre weak so i might give that a go, its a single front brake disc as well so it shouldnt break the bank.

    • @ChaosCauses
      @ChaosCauses  6 лет назад

      It should definitely make a difference especially with the single disk!

  • @ruikazane5123
    @ruikazane5123 6 лет назад +2

    I understand...With more powerful brakes, you can go faster at a turn and brake shorter. Yes. You will be faster overall.
    [PS Note: Yamaha recommends replacing brake hoses every four years]
    (i replaced the brake lines and the radiator hoses, all at once.)

    Next change: bring back your mirrors bro. Those bar ends look cafe racer and totally stand away from the look of the bike. Besides mirrors are so important I can't even think of riding without both of them. Please bring the mirrors back man! Looks really noob without them. Additionally you could get indicator mounted mirrors or something which looks futuristic.

    Top job brother 👏👏 the Hell braided lines look awesome 😉 especially in the red to match your bike and they definitely do make a difference I can vouch for that as ive got them on my Daytona 675R so yup definitely a great mod for any sports bike. I've said it before and I'll say it again I 💯 think you should powder coat your rims red imo it would definitely add sex appeal to your R6 for sure other than that cosmetically its 🔥 bro

    • @ChaosCauses
      @ChaosCauses  6 лет назад

      Thanks Adam I'm loving them! Out of curiosity does the Daytona come with steel lines or did you do it yourself? And I'm always thinking about your suggestion of powder coating the wheels but I've photo shopped it and with the red mudguard and fairing decals I think it would be too much red. However I've contemplated removing some of those red pieces to get red wheels lol

    • @adamstratford6740
      @adamstratford6740 6 лет назад +1

      Chaos Causes the 675R comes stock with braided lines BONUS!! You could always rewrap your front mudguard black instead then the red wheels would look 🔥against the black 👌

      Chaos Causes absolutely that's why imo the Daytona 675R is super sports class leader as it comes with so many extras as stock. Brembos front and rear with ABS and braided lines quick shifter fully adjustable ohlins carbon bits slipper clutch and more no other super sports comes near atm
