Being an automotive mechanic myself I am thoroughly impressed with your attention and level of detail when it comes to all your install and instructional videos. You care about the finished product when most people don't, Excellent job! I just picked up a new 17 r6 myself so I'll being doing some of these and more. Keep it up
First let me say that this is most certainly a task for experienced technicians only. I followed Brian Vann’s video and it turned out perfect with only one issue. The issue I had was because I was installing the Vortex Racing V3 Version 2 rearsets at the same time. The line which goes from the rear master cylinder to the ABS manifold was too long because the new rearsets moved the master cylinder higher up and a little forward of its original location. I called Spiegler and spoke to Matthias who had me send the line into them to take 16mm off it. It fit perfect after the alteration.
Another great video 👍. Your videos are so helpful & easy to understand. I have a 2017 Yamaha Mt 09 with abs brakes so now I'm more educated on what's involved, thanks again 👍.
Thank you, just changed my brake lines on abs r6. Your instructions were dead on. For some reasons the Spiegler rear cylinder bolt wouldn’t fit, for that I had to use oem banjo bolt. But thanks for the vid, helped me out a lot
I could advise to put a clean cloth on the opened reservoir.Sometimes brake fluid splashes a bit when pressing the lever during the flush. Thanks for the vid bro, gr8 job ;)
Brian, I know this video is 4 years old, but I have a question. Who can I reach out to at speigler about something I came across. I just did the install on my r6 over the weekend, I am running vortex rear sets and the smaller line for the rear was supper tight and seemed to put more stress on the line at the crimp. I was able to make it work buy changing the angle of the fitting on the master, but I'm hoping they may be able to shorten it a hair. Great video, followed this during my install.
Thanks for watching, happy it was helpful. When they design the kits they are designed to be used with OEM rearsets. Sometimes with the aftermarket stuff you need to adapt a bit or the line needs a change. If you need the line changed reach out to them directly and they will be very helpful. If you need us to assist with that please reach out to the team here. - Van
GREAT VID, I HAVE 2017 R6 AND BOUGHT THE SPEIGLER BRAKE LINES. I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM YOUR VID AND FINISHED INSTALLING THEM. I RODE THE BIKE FOR ABOUT A 1/4 OF A MILE AND THE FRONT BRAKES LOCKED ON ME. CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME ADVICE AS TO WHAT COULD HAVE POSSIBLY WENT WRONG. I HAVE FOLLOWED YOUR VIDS AND ALSO DID THE M4 EXHAUST ON MY BIKE, IT CAME OUT GREAT.
You need to check the olive the is installed between the front manifold and the brake pipe from the ABS unit to make sure it is in there straight. I just tried to call you and will try the other number on your account now. - Brian Van
My kit rear master cylinder banjo was the wrong thread pitch I just reused the stocker banjo, just a FYI I thought I was cross threading but it was the supplied banjo thread pitch,, otherwise a great product.
Man sorry to hear they sent the wrong banjo. Please shoot us an email to orders@sportbiketrackgear.com and we will have Spiegler send out a replacement for you. - Van
Many guys in the R6 forums complain about spiegler R6 kit abs as the front lines are way to short on the left hand side can you get them longer like 16. 25 inches from you guys ??
This kit has been changed recently adding a little length to the right and left lines (change was made about 2 weeks back). Depending on how the lines were installed the could get a little tight with the forks fully extended. We had the owner of the bike we installed them on come back so I could take a look and see how I felt about the fit with the forks extended. There was no issue with this bike but I could see how routing the lines different than I had could leave them tight with the fork extended fully. For this reason Spiegler added some length to the 2 lines in this kit. - Van
I'm planning on deleting ABS, track days only on my R6. would it be best/easiest to heat shrink tube over the ends of the brake lines coming from the pump or to remove them completely and place bolts/crush washers in the ABS pump and run lines from the master to calipers? i've got 08-16 lines and a rcs19 ready to go in.
If you want to remove the ABS BPMV you will need to install the FlashTune ABS delete to keep the other rider aids functioning. Here is a link to it on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/flashtune-abs-delete-plug-yamaha-yzf-r6-2017/ - Van
Yes Sir we sure can. The site is set up to quote international shipments with 2 options available: 1) USPS or 2) DHL Express. If you need any help getting an order placed please let us know we will get you all dialed in. - Brian Van
I have a 2019 the bars are really small for a bigger rider I want to put some aftermarket bars but the brake lines have zero excess length anywhere can I order longer feed to master cylinder. rotating the lever forward where it belongs tightens the line too much.
End of the day they are all going to get the job done. We have a strong relationship with Spiegler and have sold them for 15 years. Great stuff and good people. - Van
Here is a link to the video we shot installing the Ninja 400 ABS brake line kit. ruclips.net/video/1HTm8dO5ORM/видео.html End of the day the install will be very similar to the Ninja 400, the R6 in this video is much harder than the R3 would be IMO. - Brian Van

I'm done here. I own four bikes and am building another R6 track this fall so for the sake of a 10 cent banjo bolt, Van fucked himself out of thousands in potential sales as a customer. I'm with RevZilla all day now.
