I always thought that garlic was toxic to birds just like onions this is great news that we can use it as treatments for certain things thank you for the information we should use this list as preventative measures.
I think for the garlic you should still avoid that one
Giving raw garlic is definitely toxic, but some garlic juice in drinking water is safe in small doses and extra healthy, it cured my dieing budgie :3
It is toxic
Garlic and ginger is included in one of the antibiotics that are organic and safe for pets like Broncure (you can search and it includes garlic and ginger as an organic antibiotic). If garlic and ginger is mixed with water, it's not toxic.
it is toxic. please avoid it and get proper veterinary care
thank you so much! my budgie is currently sick but its raining heavily outside to go get some meds.. this video helped a lot!
Thank you so much! Now I know what to do when my bird is sick. This vid is very helpful 😊
Thank you, I just added apple cider vinegar in addition to giving my sick budgie his antibiotics.
I have a budgie that is constipated.

My parakeet is sick. Symptoms that have been noticed include: tail shaking slightly when sitting; liquid waste products; the bird's voice gradually becomes quieter and lower in tone. Based on these symptoms, I realized that there're problems with the digestive and respiratory systems. Question: Should I combine mint leaves with ginger as natural remedies for the respiratory and digestive systems respectively, or should I just give water with garlic juice occasionally (if the second option, how much and how often)? I apologize in advance for such perhaps arrogant questions, I just have absolutely no experience in this, and consultation with a veterinarian is currently impossible, because there is no veterinary clinic in my city. I don't know how much time I lost not noticing those signals in it's body language, so I think that I should act rapidly, otherwise it'll be too late, that's why I'm asking for an advice. Thanks for attetion
Did any of these things help
Just like us birds thrive on the same things that sre good for us.Great info
i have four birds, none of them are really tame and they're not used to eating plants. i would give them away to a better owner but there are none nearby. i'm not sure how i could get them to try new things like the garlic water.
one of my birds seems to be deteriorating in health, but i don't think i could get him to a vet because i doubt i could force him into the travel cage, and even then if i had to give him medicine i don't think i would be able to. i've had two of my birds die in the past from sickness, and i want to prevent that from happening again if i can. if anyone could give me advice on what to do i would appreciate it.
I have a budgie who's pretty picky about his food. Do the birds mind the taste of something foreign in their water? I would think that the birds wouldn't like it and not drink.
How often shud we give tho? Can we give them when they are not sick in order to prevent it?
I get great facts from your information.
So are you going to school to be a veterinarian?
Maybe :3
Good

I would never feed my birds garlic.
Don't feed birds with garlic, it's toxic, but mixing some garlic juice in water is healthy
If you follow the instructions of the video, your birds should respond appropriately.
Did you even watch the video? It did not show anything that says it was fed to the birds... it was MIXED with WATER!!!
