      He's underated because he's biased about his products. A very smart but have a great sales pitch. This new product he talks about in the podcast with the strain Bifidobacterium 1714 and B. LONGUM 35624 also has in the probiotic Alflorex Dual action, so they haven't created something new.

    So how would he explain that when I was eating vegan, I would get bloated right after eating but when I ate only meat I never got any digestive issues? I went from vegan to meat overnight. No bloating, gas or digestive issues at all after eating the meat. To say it's not the food causing these issues is complete bs, because when I try to eat plant foods now, I immediately get bloating and gassy after eating it. I've tested this many times. Our body reacts to what we put into our bodies. And liquid goes through out system pretty quick. When I drink (gulp) a cup of hot water in the morning, I can feel it going through my system, all the way to my stomach almost immediately.

    • @DT-dh7ed
      @DT-dh7ed 6 месяцев назад +2

      Possibly because you were vegan for a while.... He talked about us being omnivires that we are meant to have very diverse balances diets and we shouldn't restrict foods. I'm no expert but possibly your body is reacting to the strict vegan diet and is craving the ONE thing you didn't give it for so long..... Aka Meat to restore balance in your system.

      You gotta take things, and leave some… you were bloated when vegan because veggies only break down in the intestine. Where as meat is pretty much completely broken down in the stomach acid. Something was happening in your gut microbiome that it had trouble breaking down the fiber from the veggies causing bloat.

    • @jugeebean

      Also....when eating meat you don't need a vitamin c supplement. Whatever the body converts the C to is already in that form in meat.

      I believe he said that more immediate bloating is actually an inflammatory response. It seems like gas to us, but it's actually inflammation.

    This discussion was very interesting and had me wondering if gut microbiome imbalance, caused in large part by antibiotics (including glyphosate in food as it is an antibiotic) may have caused the tinnitus I've been struggling with since 2014. It would be great if Kiran Krishnan and/or Max could address this.

      I know antibiotics caused mine. Vancomycin. I've talked to several other people who blame it in the antibiotics they took. I never knew it was a side effect until I started looking into it.... however, I'll take ringing ears over C Diff infection any day!!

    Ever since my liver transplant back in 2002 I've had constant GI problems but the times I went to the GI clinic they tell me they don't see anything wrong. I don't enjoy eating anymore and I usually have pain after and cramping.
    I've tried everything to fix this but nothing seems to work, except not eating. I've lost my normal weight of 190 to 145. I'm almost 6 ft.

    Thank you for all the excellent information in this episode; it is so well communicated here. Can you purchase Just Calm , or an equivalent, within the UK? I suspect the shipping fees, not to mention the likely customs charges, would be prohibitive if ordering from the US website. If not, do any specific foods give at least some of the same benefits?

    Excellent episode, however my heart sinks when you look at how expensive the ‘plugged’ supplement it. Most normal people just can’t afford that. I understand that your guest wants us to buy their supplement, which is why they are on your show, but I would think so much more of them if they provided information about how obtain from food. They would still get sales from rich people, but would also help those of us who will never be able to afford the supplement, even with 20% off. Having said all of this, it is still a great informative episode and well worth listening to, thanks.

    This was so interesting even though it won’t help me much. I am very slim but bloating keeps me looking five months pregnant. I eat only healthy foods, usually organic, and take L reuteri and S boulardii. Have tried everything.

      @puidemare2337 6 месяцев назад +3

      As a woman, I can sympathize. What do you defined as healthy and organic?" When I was eating vegan, I had the worst digestive, bloating, and gas issues. And, yes, I also looked pregnant after eating anything, even a smoothie. Mind you, the way I ate would be considered elite "healthy" and "organic" I never ate packaged, processed foods, no sugar or wheat. I never ate breakfast because I wouldn't be able to any physical activity after eating, so I always workout, surfed, hiked, etc before eating. It wasn't until a gave up all the vegan foods, plants, fruits, legumes, beans and started eating a animal foods that my digestive issues completely went away.
      I remember the day very clearly, after I ate meat for the first time in years, I felt soooo good. None of the stomach issues at all. I cried!! I felt so nourished. I never knew what that felt like before. I thought did being vegan. But I soon realized having digestive issues and never being satiated is not normal or healthy!! I feel so amazing. I would never go back to eating vegan again. I have incorporated a bit of homemade sourdough bread, fermented veggies and local, seasonal fruit into my diet. My body and mental health is so pure now. Good luck with your health journey!!

      We don't digest vegan. Animals digest fiber and when we eat meat we get a well balanced diet. Grass fed not grain fed.

    ### Key Takeaways from "How To Stop BLOATING Fast & Fix Your Gut Health | Kiran Krishnan on The Genius Life Podcast"
    1. **Dietary Diversity for Gut Health**: Introducing a variety of new foods into your diet, aiming for 30 new foods by the end of the year, can significantly improve your gut microbiome.
    2. **Bloating as a Health Indicator**: Bloating is often not a result of gas but an immunological response indicating potential gut inflammation, leaky gut, and mucosal dysfunction. It can be a precursor to more serious health issues.
    3. **Inflammation and Gut Health**: Chronic inflammation in the gut, often due to an imbalance of microbes (dysbiosis), can lead to a range of chronic conditions. Inflammation can be assessed through immunological tests measuring inflammatory cytokines.
    4. **Impact of Processed Foods and Chemicals**: Processed foods and chemicals like glyphosate can disrupt the gut microbiome, leading to conditions such as leaky gut. The lack of testing on the long-term effects of these substances on the microbiome is a concern.
    5. **Regulatory Laxity and Industry Practices**: Economic motivations and the close relationship between the FDA and food/pharmaceutical companies contribute to lax regulations in the supplement industry, potentially compromising public health.
    6. **Lifestyle Choices for Gut Health**: Adopting a lifestyle that prioritizes gut health, including eating a diverse diet, reducing processed foods, and spending time in nature, can enhance microbiome diversity and overall health.
    7. **Hygiene and Microbiome Diversity**: Excessive hygiene and the overuse of antibiotics can disrupt the microbiome. A diverse ecosystem in the household and exposure to natural environments are beneficial for microbiome health.
    8. **Stress Management**: Stress can disrupt the gut microbiome, leading to dysbiosis and a range of health issues. Managing stress is crucial for maintaining gut health and overall well-being.
    9. **Psychobiotics**: Certain probiotics, known as psychobiotics, can positively affect mental health through the gut-brain axis. They can reduce stress, improve mood, and support gut health.
    10. **Neurological Implications**: Stress, anxiety, and an unhealthy gut microbiome can impact neurological development and contribute to neurodegenerative diseases. Early signs of gut dysfunction, such as bloating and food intolerances, should not be ignored.
    11. **Probiotics for Leaky Gut**: Probiotics, especially spore-based ones, can help rebuild the gut mucosa and reduce inflammation, addressing issues like leaky gut and SIBO.
    12. **Credible Information Sources**: With the prevalence of misinformation in the wellness industry, it's important to seek out credible sources for information on gut health and microbiome-related topics.
