inner loop was used a part south ferry station on the IRT Lexington line (outer loop is IRT Broadway-7th av). Nowaday, this loop is turn over for the "5" trains in weekend or non rush hour time.
The station still remains operational for the most part. The only difference is that we use it for storage now instead of using it for customer service. However, the station has been set up so that in the event that we may need to use the station for customer service, we still have the option to.
The BEST footage I've seen of the inner loop. Thank you for sharing. Hope to go there one day
Just be careful

Perfect film location for a Zombie movie.
The Warriors and the Baseball Furies were here.
This place should do tours once in awhile like Brooklyn bridge city hall
Hey! Y'all can't be down there!
if you did not go there i would have never seen it. thank you so much.
(? What is the inner loop, where is it, and what relevance has it got to something or anything?)
0:49 Judging by the placement of the tile, it looks like there used to be a staircase there.
Looks like the openings that used to lead to the train doors are now sealed.
How do you get to the inner loop
How can you casually show a huge vault door at 1:18 and then just keep moving? What's the story behind that door?
We didn't know if an mta worker was on the other side or not
@@trend-setterNYC I understand. Still curious, that's a hefty door.
That vault door is for water. What it does is it creates a water tight seal preventing water from flooding the station again.
@@kedziegreen1959 That was exactly what I thought it was.
Quick question: was this inner loop part ever used before?
Idk
@@trend-setterNYC Okay no problem.
It was for trains from bowling green going through the inner loop back to bowling green

@Grave Prower Gotcha. Thanks for the little info.
i wonder does the MTA go threw these stations to replace lights?
Yes, we do.
@@kedziegreen1959 wow amazing, thank you , is it a group so it isn't spooky? And do y'all find ppl there?
@@DonaldHendleyBklynvexRecords do yall find ppl there 😂
@@DonaldHendleyBklynvexRecords Really depends. Usually it’s minimum of 3 guys there.
Grim, truly grim. Of course, the pros who work there probably earn $200K+/yr.
fascinating, all the discarded assets strewn about...altogether mystifying crime scenes in abominably botched management & crap 🍸
they should convert it into a homeless shelter
What IS south ferry inner loop ?
Former terminal to the south bound 1 line. And here the south ferry shuttle once arrived from Bowling green.
I have never been to the inner loop. I been to the outer loop but not here
We should go one day
Seems the inner loop was unused for decades.
@@trend-setterNYC Well just remember to be very stealthy.
How Did U Guys Get There Btw?
So as of now, No more South Ferry loop on the 1 train? And what's next? Shut down the last 18th Street Station on the 1 train?
