Woooowwww. This video used to be repeated on my playlist way back in the day. I have so many memories associated with Jaclyn's videos. Jaclyn has gotten me through a lot of hard times in my life. I started watching Jaclyn religiously almost 7 years ago at one of the worst points I have ever had in my life and jaclyn was one of the only things I looked forward to at that point. The girl who originally watched this video was battling clinical depression and anxiety, just went through a rough breakup from a toxic relationship, and was trying to figure out life. The girl who watches this video today just graduated from college and has been married for almost a year to the most amazing man. Thank you jaclyn for always being a place to run when it is more than just makeup. Even though you have grown significantly from the girl I started watching film in that tiny room in your apartment, I have never lost the feeling that you are a friend that I have a real relationship with because of how much your channel has been through with me. Thank you for doing RUclips for those like me.
Let me start by saying that your makeup looks are always my favorite. Always balanced and classy. But, if I looked like that with no makeup I might never wear it again. Absolutely beautiful!

Jaclyn, i work at sephora and this is infact targeted for those with more combo, oily skin. The makeup world is now coming up with MODERN MATTE foundations where girls LIKE ME WITH OILY skin can look like we have healthy skin with a slight luminous finish that wont make us oily! Instead of matte foundations that make us look dry and sometime ashy. Idk if the brush makes a difference? This is meant to be applied with fingers and claim ONE drop is good for the entire face 😘 I LOVE YOU JAC!!!! YOURE AMAZING!!!
Thanks for letting us know. I wanted to try it but there were so many mixed reviews. I have very oily skin and I'm finding now that more foundations either separate and smear on my face or just sit on top of it. Plus, I think it was the primer water that didn't aid with the slip of the Nars. I find that Nars works better with a slightly oily primer. Can't wait to try it out!
Do you have any other recommendations for dry skin? I kinda like more satin/ matte foundations without making me look dry & clinging to dry patches if that makes sense. I just dont like the wet feeling of luminous foundation & it emphasizes any imperfections

I just subbed to Jaclyn's channel not too long ago and was bummed I missed out on the initial release, I didn't even know she had a palette up to about a month or so ago. So, fun fact - I work at sephora & I've had training on the NARS all day weightless luminous foundation, and I have been wearing it and it's amazing.
so the way it is meant to be applied, and in my opinion, the way it looks its best, is to apply with your fingers! the foundation is meant to be warmed to your body temperature. and one pump does cover the whole face! (I add one more pump if I need more coverage in certain areas)
apply 1 pump to your palm and warm the foundation and apply one section of the face at a time, because it sets really quickly.
try applying it that way and see if it works better for you!

Thank you!!! I have all of the same shadows, the same brushes, I blend until my little hand hurts, but it is nowhere near the same result as Jaclyn's. It's like literally airbrushed onto her eyes...like on Instagram when girls over edit their makeup pictures and you're like okay that's fake...but this obviously isn't edited, it's insane her blending skills.

Love ya so much, Jaclyn! You're the queen! The new NARS foundation is a ONE DROP full coverage foundation! Best applied with beauty blender or even clean fingers! One drop is very small and when applied with the Sigma F80, it can turn cakey because you will pull more product from the bottle! I work in a Sephora and we all LOVE it! I mix it with cocobana highlight cream by NARS too. It's perfect for all skin types, really! I am very oily and look luminous (demi-matte) without looking shiny! Hope this helps:)
The foundation also dried very quickly, so small areas!

Haven't read the book I heard that it was about sex and freaky stuff but after watching the movie I'm like omg I need to purchase the book asap lmao it was amazing I love it wish I could find me a Mr Grey seriously 😂

I cried at the end of the first book - I'll admit it. It turns out christian grey was abused physically/mentally as a child....it's hard to explain without spoiling the plot ....his mother was a drug addict/prostitute and was in a violent relationship with a guy that wasn't christian's father. Christian therefore, finds it hard to love people in the conventional way....(hence the bondage....he hates women touching him) .....he does get to learn how to love someone by Ana refusing to act out a lot of his fantasies. Now, I've seen women protesting with placards saying this book is about 'domestic abuse' (they probably haven't read the book - just assumed the plot ....and they've probably never been in a violent relationship)...i was a victim of domestic abuse with my ex....there is a MAJOR difference to being tied up and smacked on the bottom (with consent) than being kicked and punched (without consent). If this book WAS about domestic violence...I wouldn't have continued to read the trilogy......x (i've not seen the film just yet...but, I've pre ordered the DVD)x

i have super dry skin and i'm in love with this foundation. i have found that it works better with a silicon based primer rather than none or with just the primer water.
My skin is dry, and I HATED this foundation! It felt so tight on my skin :( But I still need to try it with a primer, that might help. Is there a primer that you recommend? I couldn't even do a review of this foundation because I was so disappointed- but if I can find a way to make it better, that might help! I want to love it!

Ok so this is the millionth time I've watched this video. I think this is one of my most favorite looks you've ever done! But I'm so sad I've found this video so late :( now I can't buy your palette.
Hey technically you could still buy all the shades individually from the Morphe website, just google her pallete and the names of the shadows, and they're all on the Morphe site for about $2 or $3 a pop :) They also sell empty palletes for the single pans that are SUPER cheap compared to z-pallets and actually they are SO nice cuz they have a huge mirror and feel very sturdy and good quality! Anyways, it might be a bit more expensive, but u could even just choose the shades she used in this video and just order those, and there ya have it! You'd be able to use all the same colors :D

With the NARS foundation, try applying it with your fingers. I work for NARS, and have found that it works SO MUCH better that way. I know, applying g with your fingers isn't idea, but it was actually formulated to work with the warmth and oils in your fingers, and that's what is going to make it look amazing. I bought the foundation before working for NARS and initially felt the same as you, but after being educated on the product and how to use it, I'm obsessed with it. Hope this helps!! :)
While my NARS SA did inform me to use my fingers, I still tried it with my beauty blender and real techniques face expert brush and I still prefer the brush method personally.
I just think she put too much on and had nothing to do with her using a brush. But then again I'm SUPER oily everywhere so I guess that is why the foundation just worked beautifully for me no matter what.

Never stop doing warm colours, never stop being you. That's why we watch your videos in the first place. Sure, throw in a cold tone look once in a while, because it's fun with different things, but don't feel like you HAVE TO. At least that's my point of view. :)
Also, wish I could get my hands on one of those palettes. But the shipping overseas are way too expensive for me. :(
