    For those who made it to the end of the video: "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman! Leave yours below, I can't wait to add them to my playlist 🙌🏻🤣

    This it not something I use to be "THAT Girl". My morning mental health routine just helps me to be "A Girl"......ugh, yes! There is so much pressure and expectations to have it all together and this illusion that once you instill certain practices into your routine, that all will be fixed and you will have some miraculous "glow up" (whatever the hell that is 😆). But for so many of us who live with depression and neurodivergence while ALSO journeying through motherhood, that's just unrealistic. Every little step helps. Thank you for your light and your authenticity. 🥰 also, I like to listen to witchy tunes like Lorena Mckennit, or Ayla Nereo 😊

      I love how you said “every little step helps.” SO TRUE! I don’t that’s mentioned enough! Thanks so much for your words and for the music recommendations- I’m always down for a good witchy tune 👌🏻💛👌🏻

    Thanks for being so real about your struggles. I’ve found there is a lot of insight out there for adhd but not many focus on the late diagnosis issues along with the mental health struggles that have come from that, and then about just living life creatively and not about being a woman superhero.

    • @theMaidenMother
      @theMaidenMother  3 месяца назад +1

      I could not agree more. Finding that sort of insight and perspective can be really difficult to find. That’s why it’s really important to me to share about my personal experience as openly and honestly as I can, just in case someone else out there can relate. Thanks so much for sharing and for watching. I really appreciate your presence 💛✨💛

    I’m a new subscriber and love your channel so much! I get up early too around 5. I make my bed, get dressed for a walk but first do a little meditation and light a candle and pull a couple of tarot cards and write some thoughts. I love morning walk and am trying to cut back on caffeine. Just one cup now. I eat healthy smoothie. I wish I could sew and be as creative as you. I live vicariously thru your creativity 💕 Thanks for great content.

    I get it especially since I deal with depression and anxiety as well. I find that if I start off my day feeling rushed and anxiety filled (which I so often do), it sets the tone for the rest of the day. Very rarely do I wake up and feel at ease

    • @theMaidenMother
      @theMaidenMother  7 месяцев назад +1

      I feel this! Nothing spikes my anxiety like rushing in the morning. It’s not every day I get to start off this easy, but when I can, I make it a point to find a s l o w morning for myself. Hoping you get a slow morning soon too because you absolutely deserve it 💛💛

    I can't remember the last time I went outside and it wasn't just to run errands. Every time I'm creative, I sit at my craft table and can't start 🙁
    It's so difficult to explain to others that the smallest things sometimes take an incredible amount of energy and my brain no longer wants to work and the body has pressed the big red button in the brain that overrides everything..everday feels like acting against a virus in my brain that stops me from living life😕
    (welcome to depression and adhd)😢

    This video is a gold mine of tips, thank you 🙏 I'm a homeschooling mama of 2, with ADHDand a combined anxiety/depression disorder. My youngest has just turned 1 and both kids wake super early so I'm staying up later in the evenings at the moment to get some me time, but really want to move towards early mornings instead, will definitely be revisiting this video as soon as that becomes realistic once they're sleeping in just a little bit longer

      Oof, I hear ya on the early risings- my kids did that for the longest time too! That’s what’s nice about routines, though, you can just fit them in wherever. I’ve definitely done this ritual in the evenings or even the afternoons because that’s what my kids would allow 🤷🏼‍♀️😅. Thanks so much for watching, my love. Glad you’re finding time for yourself wherever you can!💛💛

Thanks again for the video, not sure quite what it is that resonated so much for me, but since watching it the first time it's genuinely been the thing that's motivated me to start forming a morning routine again, so yes, really appreciate it ❤️ hope you're doing well

    I find these things so helpful for my mental health! Waking up early and journaling and doing breathwork or meditation then exercising before work has been such a game changer for me! We love all the same things! I really want to get out into nature more so I'm making more of an effort to walk or take a run in the woods. And the littering! OMG what is wrong with people! I'm always picking stuff up walking around. Glad to find your channel. We are doing a lot of the same things! (except I can't sew...lol). I tried reading the Artists Way- got about halfway through. ...still trying to get my creativity back....

    As I am figuring things out since finding out I may have ADHD, (on standby for an official diagnosis) your video is a welcome treat. I am also reading A Radical Guide for Women with ADHD, it’s quite helpful for my journey.
    And your video is especially relevant to me as an artist/artisan and homeschooling mother of 3 boys. 😅

    I experience a lot of the same things you do, I switched to MudWtr and it’s been great, no jittery feelings anymore and I don’t have a “crash” in the middle of the day, even if I still get sleepy and need a nap. I’ve read a lot about the problems with coffee not only being the caffeine, but the pesticides present on the coffee beans. Just a helpful thought for you if you’re interested. Thank you for sharing all of this, would love to adopt some of these practices. 💛

    I would do the Simplicity vintage top pattern to go with the eyelet fabric, but that's based on pure whim so feel free to disregard, haha! The part where you make your bed in the morning so that you have that to fall into at night is like how sometimes I make myself do things by telling myself I'm doing them for "Future Teresa." and I will also thank myself for things "Past Teresa" did that I'm enjoying in the present. I find it to be decent motivation for things I would rather put off doing. I love dancing and I've got a playlist with over 1000 songs just for that purpose, but the first one I thought of at the end of the video was The Cult of Dionysus by The Orion Experience.

    Thank you so so much for showing some reality and mom struggles with mental health! It's so hard to find women who use all the resources like medication and routines to function.
    Any advice for waking up in the morning? I've tried everyday for weeks setting my alarm on the desk to get me out of bed and I turn it off and go back to sleep and decide the day isn't worth it and wake up to my toddler crying waking up as my alarm. I know I'd do much better filling my cup and up early and I get enough sleep but my depression etc says no..

    • @theMaidenMother
      @theMaidenMother  3 месяца назад +1

      This was a tough one for me to crack- personally, the only thing I’ve found that helps is actually having a solid nighttime routine that prioritizes my sleep. It took a while for me to really work it out, but making sure I implement practices like no screens 1 hour before bed, reading, skincare, tea, in bed by 9 (easier said than done!) has helped me get the rest I need in order to actually get out of bed when I’d like to the next morning. Honor your body, rest when you need, and don’t feel pressured to cram it all in. Sometimes getting more sleep in the morning and only doing 1 or 2 of my morning routine practices is equally helpful for my mental health! Hope this helps, my love 💛💛

      @theMaidenMother the last 3 days I have been waking up to my toddler still (7am usually) but we go for a long walk and then do a small workout video while bf is going. It's been better than rushing to bf or the couch while I put tv on for him. He points to the door and stroller over tv which makes me feel better. I'm working on digital minimalism and lowering my addiction to RUclips rn so a set time daily so I don't obsess and try to compare too much lol thank you for your video I'll rewatch it today so I can write tips down now
