He should be tried for espionage and treason, he's in politics and is pushing against literally our first and foremost law in this nation. It is above all other laws, the protection of the first one is why there is an explicit need for the second one. And without the second one, none of the ones after it can be enforced.
People don't understand that the constitution is the peoples terms and conditions to the government, not the other way around. It's not about what we're allowed to do, it's about what they aren't allowed to do. And the first thing they aren't allowed to do is prevent free speech, and the expression thereof in various forms including accepted religious practices (can't sacrifice humans and claim religious right for example).

My dad had the exact same belief as a Canadian, before the trucker convoy. After that fiasco happened, my dad turned around and became completely skeptical of Trudeau, the Canadian government and what they are willing to do to get what they want.
Dan Goldman's statement should scare the hell out of anybody. This is who politicians are these days, and they don't even hide it anymore.

He's technically (legally) correct. The constitution itself isn't even absolute. It is a subordinate/subsequent creation that followed The Declaration of Independence; which states that "the governed" may "alter or abolish" government to secure their future liberty, and thereby choose the manner by which they consent to be governed.
However the _principle_ of free speech isn't just absolute, it's an objective fact of reality. "Free speech"/1A is the written recognition of the free will that exists in all creatures (human and lower animals), existing within them from the moment of their births.
While technically not absolute, The DoI and the US Const. both interplay and reinforce each other, as that provision in the Declaration of Independence cannot be effected/triggered _without_ the 1st Amendment from the Constitution, nor without the protection of the 1st, by the 2nd... Which makes the 2nd Amendment the true backbone which upholds the concept of freedom itself: Its the free will to to defend your free will itself.... by force if necessary.

Actually, the guy is horrible on many fronts. But rights are not absolute. The right to bear arms does not mean all, at all times, any where. The courts modify positions and criteria all the time. Threatening speech prohibited. Yelling due in a crowded theatre. Search and seizure terms for cars vs houses, vs people. Is taking fingerprints or DNA part of 5th amendment self incrimination? Is the right to counsel meaning we have to pay for it? These are not codified until decided on by the courts, often below the SCOTUS. Absolute would mean no limits and no discussion.

There is no such thing as hate speech, only uncomfortable speech that everyone has a right to in order to get a vigorous public debate in order educate ourselves to make responsible choices. It's not that free speech isn't absolute as such, but that the rights of others cannot be subordinated by unlawful actions under the guise of being constitutionally protected.

Whoa! Bubba time for you to sit down if you don't know that. Scrudo sold every ounce of gold Canada has and put all of our money into the Chinese stock market. Then you really need to do some research. So once again fellow Canadian our country is no longer backed by gold but by the Chinese stock market. That's number one proof that we are going Chinese number two. Have a look at all of our foreign students in the center of Canada. Living at the Hilton with parents who have worked in factories. Building our products for a dollar a day but somehow miraculously now have $40,000 to send their children to school in Canada. Another misalignment with the Chinese and if that's not enough for you, then why don't you look up the video where communist China is beating up physically beating up Chinese in downtown Vancouver attempting to fight for their freedom. We have a Chinese war on our hands in our country fellow Canadian bubba, so with your time and energy and money you should seriously look at new choices oh, and if you haven't noticed while you drive through Mississauga, or Toronto Chinatown there are more Chinese signs on our stores than English. That is a direct violation of our constitution and law of our land That says that our signage in this country should be in English or French certainly not Chinese or Hindi. I have a few more points I could go on and prove to you. My fellow Canadian that our government has sold us out to the Chinese while you were sitting around thinking that wasn't happening

Oh dear, that is a poor insult considering race relations were better before these divisive tactics and that is race and all the other isms started to divide us, these old tactics worked well in the Jim Crow era and in fact most communist regimes used this tactic, makes the people weak. All rights are absolute. If they are not absolute, then they are not rights. They are privileges. Privileges are subordinate to government authority. Rights are not. Rights can never be revoked, only be infringed by force. But even then, they do not cease to exist. They remain, waiting to be asserted again once the oppressive force is overthrown. All people yearn to be free. It is one of our strongest instincts.

They are not rights .they are priviledges to be revoked at the Crown's will
When they try to break down a right, with semantics, they are challenging the absolute, so they can pick your pocket. It is just a distraction, to say that a right is not absolute.
