this is such a great idea for an outside rug. i just started watching you & i love how you show us how to do the project. thank you for making it easy to learn!!!!!!! you are awesome!!!!!
Can I ask you about how long it took you to make these ones, as well as approximately how many bags itt took? I’m excited to try making a few of my own, just not looking forward to collecting all the bags, I am only interested in used plastic bags. Other than the few I get here and there living alone I really don’t need to shop as much as I did before my babies have grown up and moved out. Guess I’ll have to post on all my social media sites for family and friends to save their bags for me, I’m wondering if it would be possible to make them thicker as in adding layers to make I guess something similar to mattresses for the homeless. I guess I could always make 3-5 of the same size and weave em together on top of eachother. I know not the most comfortable in hot weather but air mattresses that are used daily quickly begin leaking within ask or 2. I think this would be a little time consuming but well worth it in the end, it’ll be a win, win recycling the plastic and helping provide a little comfort for the homeless living in tents.
Ive never counted bags ...just LOTS!! I love to repurpose & you have a very worthy idea to help others in need. Check out my other video. This may be more conformable. ruclips.net/video/wJljWX5L2Zo/видео.htmlsi=yTVgVHQYvOVPhRxo
Sounds like a great idea for patio furniture, using the discarded plastic to either make your own patio furniture padding or to add extra fluff/firmness to the stuff you already have out there.
Do you know if this works well as an outdoor Matt? I love the idea and want to use it for a welcome Matt but I worry about it getting damp do you think it would cause issues or could I just hang it to dry ? Thanks 😊

I think I will try this can you make a mat the same way
I saw someone use the pile discard to stuff a pillow 😮😮😮

Have you ever made a rug using thinner plastic? I've cut a few bag loops thinner. Maybe the "thinner" loops are for other projects, not mats?
Why did she use grocery bags for the rug and how did she do it. And where did she get those grocery bags.

I made one for my neighbor specifically for outdoor & he says it works well
@@beverlymartin7688 thanks !
Can you make a mat the same way you make a rug
@brendaspaetti8106 yes! Just make it square instead of oval!
About how many bags will I need to collect for a nice big one?
Oh dear, I didn't count...it takes lots! Sometimes I'll work on it bit by bit when I get the right color of bag!
How long did it take to make it?
That size normally takes me about 5 hours if I don't count the cutting part for prep
How many do I need?
I'm sorry, I didn't count!
If you don’t use the cutoff, recycle it
Really it’s like beading hair
How tf did you figure this out...? like were you just one day like "think I'm gonna connect a bunch of bags together today🤔"
I have a creative mind & a love of repurposing "trash"
Have you tried this method with the fabric reusable bags ?
I've used this same type of braid with various fabrics. I'd give the fabric bags a try! It should work
Cool thanks! I have so many bags!

Хорошая идея по утилизации пакетов, которых собирается куча. А выкинуть жалко😊👍
