Yes, I agree. It may be that I've set the Ruby a little gainier than the Tonex also. What I've found with the Ruby is that it kinda "drops" in the volume when you dig in harder with your pick. ( on a gainy settings ) When I play, I really like that behaviour, but listening back to it I think it is a little bit exaggerated.
Totally agree! If you are not a diehard AC30 fan, then it’s not worth it to keep the Ruby, as Tonex is 95% there. With that being said.. I still like playing the Ruby a little more as it feels a little more responsive and saturated. Thanks for the comment!
Tone at 1:45 was my favourite. The Ruby's saturation comes across mushy to me.

I liked B a bit more. Trying to justify the price of the ToneX for one sound is a bit tough. Trying to even find a reason to do that.
