@@clav3284 I don't get the hate? Dude also played Steve Johnson and Marc Giron on his channel, guys who were ranked 21 and 49 at their peaks on the atp tour.
I really love the footwork on sell's backhand. That backhand of his was just working for him in this match. Love how sell also got in Eubanks head returning most of his serve inside the service line and pressuring Eubanks to double fault.
Great match, Karue, you should have stayed on tour. Chris has such leverage with his height, but you blunted his power by staying in the points, very smart play!
The outcome of this match proves that even if you have a better serve and stronger ground strokes than your opponent, poor footwork and more unforced errors can cost you the match.
This reminds me of the Ferrer-Isner matchups. Ferrer ran around like he was at a gymnastics competition. If the court had walls he’d have bounced off ‘em. And he also won the majority of the matches. The returns were strong and steady so the server was under constant pressure. I miss watching these guys who breathe the heavier air, like myself.
Sell has such great technique. Serve and forehand have a lot of Fed to it. That double handed backhand though is perfection. Reminds me of Nalbandian's.
Much like John Isner, Eubanks is power personified. How many times have we seen Izzy fade late in a match? Perhaps Christopher could cross train with basketball or soccer to improve his footwork and stamina.
He ran out of gas so quickly. This was not a physical match so it surprised me to see how gassed Eubanks was at the start of the third. Also AWESOME camera work for an AWESOME match. I would pay money to see more of these at this camera angle. But for now, I'll just subscribe and turn on notifications.
This type of camera work provides a much more realistic experience of what it actually is like to be on the court with this caliber of talent. I wish all pro matches were filmed this way.

26:16 Karue played a one-handed backhand passing shot !! I think that this was an unconscious adaption to the ball coming at him after Eubanks reached his stop. I wonder whether Karue started with a one handed backhand when he was young because it looks so natural?
As elegant as Eubanks's game is, he plays with too little margin of error. Many times it looked like he could have stayed in the point for one more shot but just cut it too close.
Eubanks’ game isn’t quite as good as Isner’s at his peak. He went away fast in the 2nd and 3 rd set because he was tired. Your serve is the first thing to fall apart when your legs are tired. Currently, Eubanks is 24 years old and has only won 4 ATP tour level matches in his career. So, he is grinding away at the Challenger level and almost got into the top 100. He slipped down to 237 in March 2021. If he can build in more consistency he has a chance of breaking the top 100. Then it become a mental and fitness battle. I wish him well.
I'm old school, so I'm not crazy about how much the equipment gives the advantage to the server. Too many short points. Just my opinion... That being said... I think Sell did a great job returning Eubank's serve. Probably did get into his head some. Eubank's lost the match due to too many loose service games, I guess trying not to give Sell anything to hit? Eubank's ran around Sell's second serve a lot and had some great returns, but Sell started serving more second serves to his forehand which got him a number of easy/free points catching him moving the wrong way. Great match. Could easily have been much closer. Good mental fortitude to come back after losing that first set tiebreaker! Wish I had 1/2 the quickness and speed of either one of these guys!
@@zifrowzifrow7767 Federer has set a good and bad example for this. Federer likes to hit it this way with his great forehand and quick enough to recover. Even with Federer, sometimes he is not able to recover to the forehand side. Only a handful players can hit high quality down the line backhand. Eubanks is not one of them. However, his cross-court backhand is very nice, very low and wide.
The fitter player won here today, and most occasions that is what happens esp against a guy who just goes for broke on most of his shots like Eubanks did
Remember Eubanks reached the Quarters of Wimbledon. A grass court tournament. Huge different. Still very good though and did sick in Miami too, which is on hard.
He needs to develop a high kick serve to the opponents backhand. There were a lot of returns where Sell just took the energy from the flat serve and pushed it back for a winner.
It’s a returning class from Mr. Karue. Embanks has a bigger serve but less consistent. Once Mr. Karue figured out the returning at the second set, game is over.
Sell should learn a thing or two from that guy on My Tennis HQ.
😂🤣

The UNBELIEVABLE backhand winner at 43:21. Eubanks was literally on the other court 😱
The camera kinda missed it fall in but best shot of the game.
I mean Karue should’ve gone for a smash instead of a flashy inside out
I love Eubanks second serve and that one hander is beast. but those legs... I hope I'm not the only one who noticed
Unfortunately, not everyone can be built like Rafa...😂😂
