I stopped listening to music roughly a year ago. Before, i used to listen to music at least 8 hours a day, and it became an addiction. After quitting, i started replacing them with murottal or Quran recitations. I started memorizing some surahs, and quite suprised that Allah make it easy for me to memorise and understand them. For years, i've never been able to memorise any verses without forgetting it quickly. The music effects still lingers in my head since i've been addicted to it for so long. But alhamdulillah, it slowly fading away. When you leave something bad for the sake of Allah, He will replace it with something better. May Allah replace all music in our heads with his words, and may Allah make it the only thing we will hear at our death bed and give us all husnul khatimah. Aamiin

How old are you my friend. Listening to music 8 hours a day is normal. Praying 8 hours a day is abnormal. Believing that Allah takes something bad away and replaces it with something else better is no normal.
How do you know that the quran is the words of Allah. What evidence o you have that Mohammad was ever visited by an angel. There was no eye witness, no miracles and no prophecies to substantiate either his prophethood or his claims. Ask the true God of the Universe Yahweh to give you a discerning mind.

Music alters the state of mind and thoughts, and most of the crap produced today will only drown people in negative thoughts and states of mind.
Allah is the one and only creator worthy of worship, the Quran is his unaltered word and no creature ever lived have been able to refute a verse from it.
Mohammad peace be upon him is his messenger and last of the prophets, the best of creation admitted by even non-muslims and his prophecies are becoming true with each passing day.
We'll ask Allah for guidance and we'll see which one of us is led to the correct true path.

Never abandon your daily prayers. If you miss one day just start over again and ask for forgiveness even if it is your 1000 time just start over we all sin. Never stop praying completely.

The trick of Satan was to trick muslims into believing that he was the true God of Abraham. Prophet Jesus called Satan Khairul Makarin - which means the Great Deceiver. and prophet Jesus also told us how to identify the Anti Christ He said that the Anti Christ is one who denies the divinity of christ. you know what's the irony that many Muslims today don't even believe that music is haram and they start arguing .It happened with me many times that i was watching an Islamic video on Instagram and the video had music in it ( some Islamic video also have vulgar music ) and i commented on it That " why did you add music in it" and out of nowhere some 3 or 4 "modern liberal Muslims" come and start to tell me that they disagree and argue with me and that music is not haram you can listen and that i don't know anything and some scholars and all say that its not clear that if its haram or not .some even say that you can listen but not enjoy music .This is one of the tricks of the shaitaan that to make you do things that are a sin while you don't even believe that it is a sin( Not even a day has passed since I made this comment and there are people in the comments explaining their ideas 🥲🙏🏻)

I used to think that since everyone is listening to music then It's okay if i do too, but then i started looking through and through and i realized that I've fallen for Satan's trick. I was struggling with a different problem at that time but Subhan Allah, when i woke up for Tahajud prayer and then Fadjr, the only thought i had while sitting on my matt was to delete my music, and by Allah it was the easiest decision ever, i don't even regret it, the way i clicked "Delete" bro!! So, Al hamdoulillah, and may Allah guide those who are in need, Ameen.

Allah SWT created culture, and luckily our religion has a very deep culture.
And as you know, all cultures spawn their unique different cuisines, different clothing and of course different music.
You would not dare reject a gift from Allah. I was talking to a talented brother who quit painting, he was naturally gifted at this. God gave him a gift and brothers like yourselves, no offence, dismissed this God-given talent and brainwashed him into quitting art.
This viewpoint is extreme, it's like saying "We don't need to read literature, the Qur'an is the only book we need." and then proceeding to burn our books 😂 us, the Umma of Iqraa'.

This is one the most profound Ayat about the matter of Shaytan deceiving us:
And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty." Qur'an:14;22
That is what is going to happen to you muslims on the Day of Judgement. You are associating a pagan God from a pagan shrine with the true God of Abraham. On the Day of judgment you will realise that this pagan God Allah is nothing but the Greatest Deceiver. And like Satan in this verse he will say he cannot help you and you will be rejected by the true God of Abraham Yahweh.

I agree 100 percent bobby. I was the same way being a teenager thinking im a tough gangster listening to rap. It made me drink, do drugs, and fight alot. Music effects you on a deep level. I was a big fan of “The Weeknd” but after seeing his recent concerts which portrayed subliminal messages of satanic rituals. After that i started thinking about why music is haram and i got my answer that yes music is not good. Once i got an accident while driving because i was so into trap music.

What was this sign. All I know that when the polytheist and Jews were asking for a sign Allah could not provide one.

About music i totally agree with what you said about even non instrument computer generated ones are. Even they are somewhat dangerous because they basically have the same effect on us as music have.

usually when someone listened to the music, he/she will feel enjoyment towards entertainment and feel lazier to pray on time and na'uzubillah some even ignore prayer and Allah as their head just fill with lyrics and their mouth is filled with humming lyrics instead of zikir towards Allah, which Allah has said earlier that he created us for us to only worship Him in this world.. and we are busying ourselves with remembrance towards lyrics, moving heads and body unconsciously to the tunes, and some even up to worshipping singers or artists... music is one tool where syaitan can make us distracted and attached over to this world...
some muslims said "just a bit of music won't harm" this is also Syaitan's way to first make u fall into entertainment, coz once u listened to one catchy music u will keep wanting to listen to it more until the sound of quran makes u feel bored, wa iyyazubillah.. it's the same as someone said "just a sip" on alcohol and end up "oh this is not bad or harmful." and begins to take more alcohol, drunk, and addicted to them again.. for those who truly loves Allah's kindness, appreciate Allah's love and kindess and afraid of the punishment after disobeying the Almighty would want to avoid even a little bit of thing int this delusional world in herenow that could lead them to astray afterwards....
To my muslims brothers and sisters.. Remember our eternal life is in Jannah, in Jannah there is no poor people, river of wine will also ve served there in Jannah where u won't get drunk. Our castles, even the door knob will be made of rubies, our sweat will smell like limau kasturi.. musics are allowed everywhere by then.. no bad things will happen in Jannah at all.. The poorest people in Jannah owns 10x the size of this world, subhanallah..

This is why we say we got demons, I was a procrastinator big time but now I just do what needs to be done without thinking

It can be cable in a hole of a needle instead of camel, there's a similar one in Quran and it uses word JaMeL and camels aren't mentioned as JML at all so it could mean gathered/collected like JuMiLa/MaJMuL it may describe a thing that usually goes in a needle but it's instead something like what holds a ship than sews.

Music is pure distraction. Music is enticing and captures your heart. The problem is it distances you from your spiritual development and devotion. I loved the sound of violin and piano to the point where I began to play it until my fingers ached. I was so infatuated it with it day and night, that is when I became afraid. I stopped altogether. If your heart is not deeply rooted in spiritual attachment, then everything else including music, your heart will be attached to. And on the day of judgement it would be shameful to bring forward a heart attached to music and other worldly things.
May Allah guide us to the righteous path ameen.

@@lr88xx It means that it will be impossible for disbelievers to enter heaven, just like it is impossible to befit a camel in a sewing needle like you do with a thread , a camel is too big for that so it will never happen.

The expression of a camel and eye of a needle it’s also used in quran surah Alaraf :

As for lyrics, Islam allows poetry to be said in a beautiful voice with conditions. The words said must be good and cannot call to evil. Women cannot sing in front of men (unless it’s their closest male relatives (meaning husband, father, sons, brothers, and uncles)). And even this poetry is allowed in moderation and not in excess because it distracts you from more important things such as focusing on worshipping Allah.

I think they should’ve included a major tactic which satan uses and is very powerful. Sometimes when we sin and then it comes time for prayer of fasting or any form of worship, satan comes to us and asks us “you just made this sin and now you want to pray? Do you think Allah will accept your prayer? Aren’t you embarrassed with yourself? It’s better not to pray than face Allah after committing this sin” and this happened to me a lot until I saw a video saying that this is actually shaytan and that no matter what, I should always pray and go back to Allah and ask for forgiveness. This is a very underrated and unnoticed tactic that the shaytan uses.
