Fallout 76 is a 2018 action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is an installment in the Fallout series and a prequel to previous entries. Set in the year 2102, players control a resident of Vault 76 who must venture out into the dilapidated open world known as "Appalachia" in order to re-colonize the region, and uncover a mysterious plague that has killed off its inhabitants. Fallout 76 is Bethesda Game Studios' first multiplayer game; Bethesda developed the game using a modified version of its Creation Engine, which allowed the accommodation of multiplayer gameplay and a more detailed game world than in previous games.
Fallout 76 was released to generally mixed reviews, with criticism for the game's numerous technical issues, overall design, lack of gameplay purpose, and initial absence of human non-playable characters. The game was the subject of several controversies, chiefly with regard to the quality of physical content. A number of Bethesda's responses and attempts to provide ongoing support for Fallout 76 in the months following its launch were met with criticism. The game sold 1.4 million copies by the end of 2018. In October 2019, a premium subscription service called Fallout 1st was added to the game. The first major update to the game, Wastelanders, which reintroduces non-playable characters, was released in April 2020.

If you suffer from motion sickness, play in third person. It really makes a difference .
I won't address any of your opinions. I've been playing the game since the launch/ beginning and I dumped Fallout 4 for it. It was liberating not to have console commands and learn how to get good enough. Nowadays I play with 2 different accounts at the same time on PC (Steam, different machines, different accounts), cause I have a specific niche inside the niche. You do you. I'm happy doing what I do.
I love how HelloFresh advertises they save you a trip to the grocery store when then specifically ask you to still buy certain things from the grocery store lol. Plus, you'll likely have to go anyway for snacks, toiletries, etc.
You still play fallout 76 on xbox one,
I can tell you do not play fallout 76 on Xbox Series X
His content is just that bad, that he's just bloody awful.
No marketing script has ever convinced me more NOT to buy a product than Hello Fresh ads tbh. The continuous lie that they save you money is crazy. Convenient? Maybe. Fresh/cheap? Rarely

If you go into Fallout 76 thinking it will be Fallout 4, NV, etc. YOUR GOING TO BE DISAPPOINTED. If you approach the game more as an MMO you'll probably like it.
I can only see disappointed MMO fans with that logic. Seems to be more like an online survival game than an MMO.
@Nikelaos_Khristianos Oh trust me dawg, there's nothing survival about it
There is nothing MMO about it, it's essentially a barebones single-player game forced into multiplayer. It's worse than a fking Morrowind MP mod. Pure dogshit.
Your right, I was there from day one and I eventually went back to fallout four and then after the movie I tried 76 again and it’s just not for me
@@GaliosUAand yet a lot of people enjoy the game
Man imagine if they used the Appalachian setting in a single player fallout game
Ikr? The Appalachian scenery was/is so beautiful in 76. I’m so sad they didn’t just make 76 a spinoff single player :(
@@Courier117 Weird. You can literally play 76 in a solo world. But I'm guessing you want Bethesda to revert back to whatever game you entered the series with.
@@jazzyjswift online only game. It will never be single player if it’s always online. Unless of course you spend money per month for a private world

I played the game and loved it back in 2022, got to level 260 and thought there's nothing else for me to do, so I left happy, but have never come back since.
How long did it take you to hit 260? I played at launch and fell off bc i felt it was super grindy to level.
@@olivernell4283 You can grind 100 levels in a day on double XP weekends. I was 330 and reached 415 over 2 days.
I've played back in 2022 as well and I also got to a level well above 200 (don't recall the exact level). It took over 200 hours, but I enjoyed it. I also left the game happy and maybe I come back for the newer DLC
this mf hit level 260 and thinks his opinion matters at all for game quality lmfao
@@theincrediblefella7984and this mofo thinks HIS opinion matters because he has a superiority complex over time played in a video game. Dude said he liked it but never felt like he needed to came back.. what are you on about?
Did you play any of the added content?
You said it got updated with new narrative content and NPC’s but then you talk about how you’re only level 10 which means you haven’t even played the base game, not to mention the new main quests, expansions and other stuff they added.
That would require him to actually put time into playing the game and get to a point of the new content can't have that when he's gotta release the same videos every week
8:50 Exactly how I feel. Much like Starfield, the quests you get from the bar have you running. and running. and running. and running. Whereas the 1 player Fallout games try to keep you entertained constantly, F76 tries to keep you logged in constantly. There's DEFINITELY a difference between those 2 things.
This is the biggest issue with f76 and bethesda as time goes on. Nothing is designed to be enjoyable. It's designed to become an addiction
Bro failed to do anything to show what the game is like. No raids, no multiplayer. Lol he just walked around and shot at stuff.
That requires a decent bit of work
and dont forget the clickbait title to farm some viewers for his adds, at least he knows what mashed potatoes are now…
the game still sucks, hope that helps bro 🙏
@meno3535 Hahah not my point. I don't care if it sucks or not I care when people make pointless clickbait videos.
Bro explained from 6:00 to 6:30 why that's irrelevant. The game lacks many of the tools and MMO uses to make raids and multiplayer interesting in an MMO, to the point its just cooperative Fallout, except if YOU tried playing the cooperatively, it odnes't function because Bethesda gave up on the MMO ide and just made it a singleplayer server.
Although I do agree, this is a clickbait video and Luke is quite clearly phoning this shit in. Seriously all of them are nearly 22-23 minutes on the dot.
Doens't change his point that 76 is a game with an identity crisis that is saddled with the lode stone around its neck of always online multiplayer that can't effectively use its medium to fulfill that promise.
i love playing games with my boyfriend so having a fallout game we both can play together more than makes up for the games shortcomings, we do quests together, help each other out in instanced areas, etc. It may not be the best fallout on the market but its the only one with working multiplayer.
This game had so much potential with all the cryptid lore and history of Appalachia.
My friends grew up playing fallout but i never did until now just turned 22 and started with fallout 3 and im loving it, don't know why i never played it when it was younger
If you like Fallout 3 then you'll love New Vegas next. I was in the same boat when I was a teen when FO3 came out, and I devoured the game, absolutely fell in love. Then I read that New Vegas was being developed in Game Informer magazine and I was super hype for that and it delivered.
Enjoy 3 and New Vegas!
I came back after 6 years and went and did the whole brotherhood of steel quest line in fallout 76. I did definitely enjoy it and then started the enclave missions, which didn’t have as much to offer but doing those quest lines really hooked me. With the update coming out this summer with another quest line and area to explore it makes me a lot more enthusiastic about the new direction the game is going.
I can't bring myself to play it. It's flabbergasting that it's a game not made in the early 2000s because everything is so clunky and ugly and shitty-feeling. The gunplay is atrocious and the hit registration is even worse. The quest design is bottom-of-the-barrel-tier and some quests don't even work properly or are so buggy they're nearly impossible to complete. I tried to give it a chance, but I'd rather just play New Vegas over and over.
Seeing Fallout in the news makes me happy to see. The vibe in this universe is so unique and captivating. I just wish the game series was handled better. By the time FO5 drops, there could potentially be people doing their taxes who weren't alive for the FO4 release. As good as the show was, I hope there are more game releases before FO5 comes around. Something between then and now has to happen and I hope it isn't just this show or FO76.
If BGS really want to keep the series in-house I hope they expand into multiple teams. It'll be better to rotate Fallout, Elder Scrolls and different IPs between 2 teams rather then making players wait almost 20 years for a sequel is ridiculous.
I also recommend the game "the invisible", it's a retrofuturistic Explorer set on the planet Mars. It's first person but not really a shooter. Amazing atmosphere

Luke if you think the combat is a little laggy your allowed to use vortex mods in this game like FO4 without any issues they have anti stutter, fps boost, sound overhauls makes the game come all together tbh

See I did it right; I watched the show then went back to Fallout 3, which is an absolute masterpiece
I don't trust them they're all smiling - maximus
i love the entire time this video is happening you can see a God Howard tin thing in the background lol
Me n my buddy did a quest together, we had to go to a club n watch a performance wich was chill then the bartender ask us to be security incase something happens, then a new singer got on stage and someone in the audience pulled out a gun n shot up the place lol definitely has some fun detailed quest, not a barebones game
Running through that quest line atm myself. If you told me it was a quest taken out of fallout 3, NV, or 4, I'd have believed you. No clue what Luke is on about
Showing your age. Now back in the days of World of Warcraft, all MMO had a monthly subscription service. With that fee, the studio runs the servers and keeps adding content.
Having a free version (which is completely winnable without paying a penny!) ...that's what is odd.
Why do you want stuff for free?
Since returning after watching the show, I've been enjoying it more than I did a few years ago. Even though I play almost exclusively solo, I feel it's a welcome addition to the universe and a game worth checking out to play alone or with friends. The most enjoyable part for me is the public events that show up every few minutes. Wonderful way to get in touch with the community
the Fallout1s stuff in the Shop you show is all skins (the stuff that costs 15 dollars WITH Fallout1st suscripton, its just that you have the ability with Fallou1st to get skins from Past Seasons) The Stuff that u get with Fallout 1st that is kinda game changing, is the free stuff. That is the Scrap Box and the Ammo Box. Then you also get the Private server, and 1600 Atoms per month. All that other stuff in the Shop you can buy with atoms, like the Fusion core charger, or the scrap robot. Its mostly fair balanced and you get atoms a lot if you just play the game for a while. Also you get a lot of free offers in the Atom shop and then you have that kind of battlepass that also gives you a lot of free stuff (also atoms).
Bethesda selling the ability to play Fallout 76 in a solo world with unlimited storage is insane
what do you mean?
@@xman777b he's talking about the ability to run a private world if you have Fallout 1st
@@xman777b They made an online game that limits the amount of resources you can have. Then they decided to sell you unlimited space (Something that you would have in a single player game).
Then they also decided to sell you the option to play solo (Something you would be able to do in a single player game)
thanks for the explanations, everyone.
Actually, having a blast as a solo player in 76. most of the actual mechanics are far superior to FO4. the crafting/recepie/cooking system especially. Great community who mostly leave you alone if your solo wonderer. Playing a no perk no armour, no workbenches at camp to make it a hardcore survival experience and I'm lovin it.
the "delay" with shooting and menus/interacting is gone when you're on your own server (fallout 1st) or on a server with barely any people... which is a shame you have to pay to get fallout 4's responsiveness
Fun fact, I actually payed £175 for my edition of Fallout 76, power armour helmet an all, still have my crappy nylon bag too, not once actually played it, don’t even know what happened to my copy of the game as I honestly can’t remember.
Don’t regret it one bit, memorabilia and whatnot…
It is. I appreciate it more after replaying 4
Tbh ive never played 76 at all but I'd much rather give it a shot than replaying fo4. I hate fo4 so much.
How is an item or mode called a micro transaction when some of them cost almost 1/3rd of the original game's price?
I think the thing that would fix 76 for me is if they let players play solo offline WITHOUT having to pay $100 a year.
If they released mod tools in tandem this would open the game up more and extend its life.
You failed to mention that the atoms from the shop youcan get them for free by just playing the game with in built challenges and the free battlepass
One correction Luke when you go into a building with quest npc it's a private instance so even if you could kill the people inside it wouldn't affect anyone else
A little note if you're on pc like me and also get nauseous at the kinda sluggishness, there is a fix if you look up how to get rid of the input lag, it helps a lot and makes it far more playable, ive been enjoying it recently only because of that fix.
I couldn’t make out through more than 5 minutes of this video. Between the jammed in advertising and how long it took to get to a point, I tapped out. Better luck next vid
Why didn't you just skip it? Like literally do what most do and skip the ad
For anyone wondering... It takes about 15-20 hours, at least 10 locations and maybe 10 quests to finally get to a point where its either enjoyable for you or its not. In terms the game takes a minute to get going because its more of a 200-300+ hour game. Just saying it took me til my third try and I was farther in the game that it finally got me and I played around 600 hours. Also you can tweak ini files(and add some mods) without worries, to change things to your liking
I get that but if any other game said I need to spend 20 hours in it before it becomes enjoyable I probably wouldn't play that either. I miss the days when devs focused on making games have fun enjoyable game play loops and mechanics. Not the monotonous grind designed to have small endorphin releases to satisfy addictions. Bethesda seem to just focus on that now
I got to level 50 in about 8 hours. Not that hard now you can start at 20, join public teams dor bonus xp and jump into public events for quick leveling
Honestly there are some really cool new questline in F76, the Wastelanders Questline rly starts at level 20 (you have to have that level to engage with the factionquests) in search for the Vault Gold, especially the Questlines you do for the factions, hence Raiders and Settlers are quite interesting. You are in one quest faking beeing a slave in a gladiator arena, on the other Quest you are infiltrating a chinese espionage underground base full with chinese ghouls to get the plans for the stealth armor.
Then you have the Brotherhood Questline where you are uncovering that some "kind" of "organisation'" is still deducting science experiments and a threat to humanity. Here you also can decide to follow Paladin Rhamani or Knight Shin, one wants to be more helpfull to society and liberal, Shin wants to follow the strict orders of the brotherhood. Then you got a new Questline that will lead you to a family of an ex mobster, where the daughter is addicted to the stuff they call "the devils blood" and you have to help her. The big new update will also introduce a new main Questline, regarding Vault63 and a new kind of Ghouls. It even have a full new area to explore in the south with new Enemies and a new Bossfight (3 giant robos, with different kind of attacks, you have to fight all at once in a kind of Arena)
I still think Bethesda not leaning into 76 as a Rust-lite experience is so disappointing. This game could've been an epic alternate to classic fallout and instead is just a mundane imitation of the Bethesda formula.
Fallout fans hate that kind of game though. They are generally an antisocial bunch. When they hear the game has other players, they instantly hate it lol.
@@gametime2473 Guilty as charged. And proud of it
@@xman777b Haha. Nothing wrong with that. Different strokes for different folks.
@@gametime2473 oh I know, I stopped playing around the time the community began pushing to get every iteration of pvp removed from the game. It's a shame but whatever, I'm glad there are people that still enjoy it.
The majority disagrees. More people are into pve than pvp. With hacking and people griefing, can you blame Bethesda....
You sound like you devour a lot more than Netflix bro
I played it and enjoyed the beginning levels because of the survival challenge, but got seriously annoyed that every enemy was a bullet sponge and the laggy shooting mechanics. Eventually I got better weapons to not make every enemy absorb ammo… and they released an update that increased all the enemy levels with your character level and I gave up.
I re downloaded F76 about 2 weeks ago and now I’m 200+ hours in working on my unyielding 3star god rolls and a bloodied railway with vats bonuses. 😊
God it’s good now.
seems like the movement and mechanics are sluggish and slow, especially when jumping. how does this play on xbox one x? thinking about picking it up on game pass to check it out
Once I realized Fallout 76 was a MMO I enjoyed it so much more. The game is 10x more fun with friends. If I were playing solo, I’d just go on the mainline Fallout games
Luke, you've become my go to video games content creator. Really love you channel!
I wanted to get into this but the framerate is all over the place on PC for me. I've turned off vsync in the ini and turned down the graphics but it still performs badly.
My 4090 even struggles, its the game.
it's the game itself not your hardware
7:53 How'd he know I was looking at him like that?
They hit the 1 mil players on 1 day so it is really going well now. I played this game for about 2 months (in the 3rd year) with some friends but i would rather have a 4-8 player coop Fallout (what i first thought this would gonna be) to build settlements together while doing your own thing.
I remember thinking the bartering prices were really unfair when I played a few years back. To buy ammo or stimpacks would be hundreds of caps, but selling a gun would be like 10 caps.
I really like fo76 but holy cow. Probably 25% of my time is spent either going through my inventory and stash box trying to figure out what i can keep and what I have to get rid of to keep my weight under the limit. The fact that you have to pay to geg unlimited junk and ammo storage is outrageous
As I allude to in the video, we filmed this about a week ago (before the FO4 update). The Fallout 4 Next-Gen update ended up being... Disappointing... to say the least. That video is already up on the channel :) THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
The update broke my saves
@ppg5807 play it on console
I loved the Fallout series, and have played every edition to the series. When 76 came out, I quit it within 2 hours. After the series and positive word of mouth, I returned to 76 and haver already spent dozens of hours enjoying the game in a whole new light. The game IS improved. Will it be for everyone? No. However, if you like post apocalytpics stuff, if you like MMO experiences, and you want a game you can play solo or with friends -- then I feel like I can confidently say it's an option. If you play on PC though, make sure to look up the post from IGN about how to remove the 60 FPS frame lock so you can enjoy it at 120+ frames. It makes the game so much smoother. I think it will fix the problem Luke mentions here about the engine feeling sluggish.
I think it's funny... I love Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), but hate Fallout 76... But to be honest I also hated ESO when it 1st launched. Fallout 76 on the other hand, even after half a decade of updates, I still can't stand the gameplay, story, lore, etc... It feels like a Fallout Theme Park, or a "Fallout" skin game rather than a real Fallout world/game. The whole thing just feels odd. Which is the worst part of it...
You mentioned slight delays, nausea, and difficulty playing some games because of it - and I remember having the same problem with Monster Hunter Rise, Cyberpunk, and a few other games…
Turned out it was my streaming/capture setup combined with my monitor’s configuration generating just enough delay that it seemed just a little bit off.
When I hooked the system up to a TV, or directly to a different monitor everything played a lot better - so I had to reconfigure my entire setup to reduce or correct the delay.
It was probably a few years of putting off games, or thinking some games were not for me - until I was playing them at a convention and wondering why it was so much better of an experience.
With Fallout 76, I had to start using VATS to be more of an auto-aim system with my controller… carefully aiming was not feeling right and slowed things down too much. I’m running through Fallout 76 and enjoying it, but your video made me realize it was because of the Fallout 1st benefits. I probably wouldn’t be enjoying it without it.
I hated it at launch, love it in 2024 and highly recommend it. Been playing solo like any other Fallout game, so that's still a very real option if you don't like people. I play in groups a lot too, it's nice to have the option.
I just hop into heaps of public events to level up qucik got went from 20 to 50 in 8 hrs or so
Treat it like a simplified Rust or Apex with a Fallout skin. It’s fun with friends
i don't know what it is about the Beth/ Zeni communities, but between FO76 and ESO, the communities their games develop are incredible.
Actually, now that I think about it it's probably because those games launched broken and hardship brings people together.
I liked this game so much then got hit with a storage limit I could only get over with a subscription
the junk hoarder discrimination single-handedly made me drop this game
its kinda nice to hear someone say "This game is just not designed for me" and call it there. I think so many serise are so scared to make spinoffs and such because they fear the backlash. Like not every fallout game has to be the exact same for the the same demographic.
the one thing with fallout 4/76 combat is they somehow just mess up their colliders, like a good 20% of shots especially with snipers dont do anything because i guess there is invisible geometry between me and the enemies head? also the aiming just feels bad, i am talking the feel itself
One thing I hated was that so much stuff is level locked. You found a cool weapon or armor, sucks to be you.
Really random question, but what brand shirt are you wearing here?
The "car sickness" nausea is caused by your eyes and hands feeling/seeing different things, and the two signals collide in the brain ... badly. Lag - especially a laggy response to motion input like strafing, jumping, shooting, etc. - gives me instant nausea / vertigo. I recently noticed this when I tried to return to The Division 2 on my old XB1X a few weeks ago. There's a NOTICEABLE lag between moving or pulling the trigger and the screen responding to that input. Can't do it. I think Destiny was the first FPS that I've never had any motion sickness issues with - it's super-responsive in that way.
They tried to make a DayZ, Connan, or Ark, "like" game in the Fallout universe, when we already have games like DayZ, Connan, and Ark.
The people that generally play Fallout games play for a particular reason, and when you pull out everything that Fallout gamers like except for the settings, well then you have a different game with a Fallout skin.
BUT, I'm super glad they did do a 180 and developed the Wastelanders expansion. It definitely brought me back to the game.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that though. I'd love a co-op style fallout with building mechanics and quests. I just don't want one like f76 designed around microtransactions and scummy mechanics. I don't care for pvp at all but the pve side to that really interests me. I'm just tired of the bethesda grind and f76 monetised the grind.
one thing ill say is there are loading screens its a bethesda game but what is cool is if you used the photo mode or in game camera item to take pictures it will cycle through those for your loading screens incentivizing you to use it to show off memories and things that have happened during your time in the wasteland which is to me very cool. but im biased im a veteran player and i do love the game itself. apocalyptic animal crossing. the monetization is too extreme but you do keep everything if you cancel fallout first. like the scrab box and if you've placed a survival tent it stays where you left it.
Fallout 76 is a good game, specially if you have friends. But, the issue is like you mentioned in your video all it does it makes me want to play one of the single player Fallout games. If you can get over that and take the game for what it is. There is a lot of fun time that can be had. Put around 100+ hours in the game about a year ago.
The problem I have with fallout 76....well is that it is fallout 76 lol it is like they took fallout 4 and badly shoe horned multiplayer into it, if it was a new Vegas style singleplayer game set where it is but made for that exclusively I likely would have liked it so much more. They can add content fix bugs but in the end even if it's good content like with npcs there is still that wrapper around it
honestly i’m just sick of the east coast it’s all trees with no leaves and stupid grey skies it sucks why does bethesda love it so much
@@jare2067 Honestly, what are you talking about? FO 76 has a widely varied world that doesn't resemble your description at all.
@@gametime2473 There are a few people on the internet who like to gain hatred for something early on, and then spend their time hating it online rather then checking to see if the thing they hated changed
@@chainsaw8507 I didn't play Fallout 76 at launch but pretty sure it was never "all gray skies and trees without leaves"
Player only game world, It was an interesting idea but they should have known it wouldn't work, 24 players per server (with exceptions) on such a large map. I almost think they did in fact know and Wastelanders was something they were working on from the beginning given all the NPCs, quest and voiced dialog that added, probably wasn't ready to meet release. Either way the launch was a pure disaster, Wastelanders saved it and the content updates keep me coming back, looking forward to Skyline Valley map expansion update in June, seems like the biggest update since Wastelanders.
Also inspired by the show, I finally decided to try out 76 on my Series X the other day. Encountered 3 game-breaking bugs and a hard crash in the first twenty minutes of playing. Kept trying for another half hour or so before giving up. With no overarching story to pursue, I couldn’t care about any of the random radiant fetch quests the various NPC’s started throwing at me.
Completely mystified by the milieu that’s been saying “it’s better now.” On supposedly native hardware, that was the opposite of my experience to the point of hilarity.
As a solo gamer I liked that Fallout wasn't MMO. The changes to 76 were nothing for me. I decided early it was no good for me. If I wanted an MMO FPS I wouldn't be playing Fallout.
well stated.
I can't wait for the Shenandoah map expansion. It's gonna be great.
youre the first reviewer i watch which actually said "there's a lot of endgame" while most others said "theres just no real endgame"
Played like 200 hours about 1-2 years ago and enjoyed it, they improved it greatly and nowadays its even better, its a solid game right now, they really turned the game around which is nice to see.
The price for the stuff in the atomic shop and the subscription is ridiculous though, absurdly overpriced.
Huh, I also get motion sickness with doom, specifically doom eternal, which was sad :(
Also noticed I get a bit of motion sickness when in the power armor of FO4, I'm guessing because of how the screen wobbles just a tad...
Your son’s name is Lock In? That’s hard af
I loved Fallout 76 before the most recent Scoreboard change! The storyline was good the first time through! I was intrigued to seeing Atlantic City! I deleted all my characters, unsubbed from FO 1st, & unistalled the game! The old Scoreboard was fine now it is a money grabbing microtransaction garbage mess! I might come back if they ever revert it back to the old Scoreboard, but I know they won't! I am now playing Fallout 4 after having to uninstall/reinstall it after the Update! The Fallout Tv show got me in the mood to play Fallout 4 again for the 100+ time!
Lmao how is it bad now ? The scoreboard I mean. Please explain your logic, because I find it kinda better than the old one.
You can select what you want to get, that's fine by me. And the tickets you get per level it's enough to cover everything.
As a design perspective? Yeah, the old one was better, I agree. But other that that I don't find the problem
I play fallout 76 mostly solo and i've liked it more that way, the world is very enjoyable and rich with lore and history, there are alot of quest and daily events that keeps the players playing and having fun, + you can build your own house
It's so bizarre, when the best part of a game is its community....usually its the opposite....
Ive never seen this guy like a game,
I have 4 people who have NEVER liked this game and have tried the game MANY MANY times all playing this game currently.
This is good, do not go into this game thinking your going to be playing a single player game...
Yknow whats funny, i actually find the main quest of 76 better than 4, the scorched is soo interesting
Here's a good spot for me to argue why I actually don't mind GTA+ over fallout 1st that I just tried this month due to the discount.
On gta+ you pay the same ammount as you would for their cheapest shark card, the one that gives you 250.000 something you can make in game in less than 2 seconds. But added on you get 500k (1.5 for the next few months) you MIGHT get a car for free, a business for free.. There a a bunch of the in game services become free, you may get 4x insted of 2x on certain weekends.. You get an Exlusive garage and you get other and better discounts in general.. All this definitely bonuses but nothing you can't get in a fair ammount of time by just playing the game if you want. It's entirely optional.
Fallout1s basicly give you discounts on stuff you have to buy with more real money.. All those discounts mentioned in the gta part are in game currency that is very easy to make by just playing the game.. With 1st you pay real money, to pay more real money which is just ridiculous.. Also that most of the great crafting stuff has to be bought is just scummy
I would love to see Luke try out Fallout 3 again.
I dont mind paying for scrapbox and stuff like that. It's just like the crafting bag in ESO.
You have to talk about the battle royale mode which is insanely fun. The thing that did make me mad was the ammunition packs. That's where my credit card stopped.
Oh, I hear you about framerate nausea, my stomach churns if it's less than 20 fps, and after about 15 minutes I have to stop and lie down to quell the dizziness. It's one of the reasons I just can't play FPS games, even though I'd love to. Ironically, I was working in QA around the time of the PS1 to PS2 transition and a lot of PS1 games were 15-20fps,. I would regularly have to go lie on the Test sofa and recover from vertigo. You won't get any derision from me about it!
Never once in all the times I played a Fallout game did I think to myself "Hey, you know what would make this better? OTHERS!"
Not once.
So yeah, happy for the people who enjoy this type of game. But it'll never be the kind of game I'll enjoy. I've tried a half dozen MMO style games over the years and the style of game just never clicked with me. Happy it's there for folks who dig it though! Cheers!
I understand why people don’t enjoy this game as much as the other Fallouts, but I’ve had a blast with 76 since launch! It combines all of my favourite game aspects. Open world, survival, mmo, building, crafting etc. I love it!
If most of the Fallout 1st stuff was free, or like a 1 time purchase it would be enjoyable. But the very limited inventory is so annoying especially since there aren't any companions to take some of the load off so you can deposit or sell. The perk cards are cool, but if you want to build something it takes 50+ levels just to potentially have the right cards (I really wish there was an in game preview of all the card perks available). I like the weapon repair system, but its limited by the storage/weight limits. So many things in F76 are like that, cool concepts that would work if it wasn't choked by dumb unnecessary limitations.
I definitely wanted more of a story fix, so I turned to Fallout 4 once again. Ended up trying the new start mod to get a different perspective on the story, it’s quite nice
7:51 I didnt know you couldnt hurt npcs lmafo man
Its funny you say that you liked that there was no npcs on launch because that was actually one of the main reasons i didnt buy the game at launch on top of the bugs
This video is top tier explaining who this game is for vs who it’s not for. Also Luke’s credits and criticisms of the game were fair and valid.
Too many “is 76 good” videos you can easily tell they still don’t understand what 76 is supposed to be and clearly never put the time into the game to find out. (Reforge gaming, smh)
End game 76 players obviously get the most out the game instead of campaign enthusiasts. If you like looter shooters, camp building, in game economy, finding valuable resources, joining world boss fights, and the Seasons battle pass then there’s plenty of casual fun to be had.
Luke really be on of the most blatant RUclips grifters I’ve seen in a minute lmao.
Sure everyone jumps on trends but bro. Always finding the latest grift and has no idea what he talks about.
He’s famous for a 7 hour critique of Witcher 3 where he just recaps the games events lmao.
10 seconds in: Faithful to the material? Uhh, not too sure about that one. Gotta get me my ghoul serum!
Ahh yes, Internet Historian, still waiting for his Fallout 76 part 2, there is more fun i had watching his The Fall of 76 than Starfield game
Fallout 76 is quite enjoyable, especially with friends. After hours and hours in F4, it's nice to play with friends. I recommend it to any fan who wants to do Fallout, group style.
