Josh, WELCOME to the north country, don't ya know. Glad to see you can visit the beautiful state I live in. This is an impressive attachment as it is, as a test of new equipment, well there is always room for improvement, that is the way things become awesome. Great vid!
That grapple/brushmower is a great idea, I've seen people grind down whole trees and hence wear down their teeth simply because they have no other tool attached. For clearing dying woods, this is ideal
As someone who used to take overgrowth to seed bed or getting ready for sod if that claw was solid so you could adjust the frontal flow direction straight to the ground near something like a house could be very practical for quick prep for landscapers.
Josh, it's really great to see you collaborating with another great RUclipsr! I'm a huge fan of both of your channels. Also, it's awesome that you got up to visit the great north woods! I recently bought an old farm just outside of Duluth, and you've been a great inspiration and resource for me. Enjoy your visit!
Hey Josh 🇺🇲 and Stan two of my favorite RUclips channels I really enjoyed this video Josh and Stan I always enjoy watching both of your videos 🇺🇲 WOOOOOO 🇺🇲
I could see it it being used on food plots, maintaining and creating walking, atv or any other type of trail system on a property and how it was used in the video.
I remember a while back ago I will send Josh you really need to get a mulcher for the front of your skid loader. You replied I’ve got a mulcher that goes on the back of my tractor. But this forestry mulcher was what I was meaning to say. These forestry mulcher‘s are amazing and I’d love to have one if I was able to use it.
That's a machine I could use here in northern Wisconsin it would be perfect for enlarging my food plots plus trail maintenance now I guess I need a skid steer great video
thanks for sharing this attachment guys . i wish they made something like this when i had may landscape business. would be really nice to have on the farm.
Perfect for Arkansas , undergrowth is the problem here ! and a lot of rocks so Im glad ya did the concrete block to see what it would do ! no good if ya hit a rock and trash out the equipment ! N its still rocken ! Awesome
Put that attachment on order for pasture and trail expansion, also trail upkeep. Throw in a few food plots and start selling deer leases and use the on farm processing equipment.
That would be perfect for my 38 acres! I live in fire country and have several burnt dead standing trees and lots of sagebrush. A full on forestry head is too much for my application, but this would be great to get rid of the sage and dead standings, till the soil a bit, and allow for me to seed some native grass for soil retention/livestock grazing. I would love to see another deeper review with more product information.
I think if the top of the grapple had a solid plate that could be used to spead/level the ground once the "tilling" is complet would be a great addition to the attachment. That thing is complely outstanding tool.
I like the way that the grapple keep you far enough away from the tree trunks and the way it also was like a safety from anything falling on the head of it. with that thing so long to your lawn aerator and even your lawn rake it just mulches everything in it path, would be great for a lawn total reseed,
I have property west of Duluth. More field than forest. We are badly overgrown. Had a forest grinder come in and clear several acres. This would have done the job of the bigger grinder I contracted with. I use an MX6 mower to maintain.
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I learned today after doing some brush cutting with a gravely Qxt It had break away blades which is so pivotal. My ventrac brush mower doesn’t have this option and is prone to more damage as you take it everywhere with less visabity. I also found the smaller deck was better to get in between trees. Ray ,courtyard landscape Canada
🌲 Stan the man ‼️ I’ve been aDirt Monkey 🐒 Subscriber for many years ,great guy ,great videos, great teacher of the trades 🚧……..Stan ,say hi to Frankie 🙋🏼♂️. Go GET EM ‼️‼️‼️🦜
How you doing Mr stoney ridge .it's been a long time for some reason none of your videos have been notifying so kinda lost touch whith alot of channels but I hope all has been good for ya godbless and stay safe
I would say for what it was designed for it looks like it does a good job. I would send it to John from upstate brush control and see what he thinks about it. I think this unit and and the forestry head can work together. Since it is a quick attach you should be able to use both on a job with minimal down time and minimal wear on the more expensive unit.
Just stated watching you channel. I own a forestry mulcher there the way to. Eliminates burning hauling , all around better on the ground. Seen that poaching vlog, passed me off .
Looks like you could clear out a woods to or overgrown pasture in a heartbeat !!! Could be a business or side business while getting your farm up and running !!! VERY MUCH POTENTIAL !!! I WONDER WHAT IT WOULD DO WITH A FRESH CUT STUMP UP TO SAY 12" ??? BUT THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO !!! GOD BLESS !!!
How wide and What is the cost of that machine. I am looking at buying a heavy duty brush cutter for a track loader and trying to give everything a chance. Seems like an awesome design. What’s the hydraulic flow requirement on a machine like this
Would this be a good implement to incorporate forestry mulch debris back into the ground for folks that do not like the look of the mulch left as overburden and want it cleaned up? Looks like a great implement for general understory clean-up.
With those teeth it seems it would be excellent for use on a driveway like a Harley rake. Very multi purpose. If I had a skid steer I would certainly entertain one of those attachments.
Dirt Monkey helped me a pile with business life and Stoney Ridge has given some guidance on the garden life. I use his 3d fence method and Im a fence guy. Awesome to see em together.
Right by amsoil arena that was fun back in 2016. During the summer time it was beautiful it was over too fast. I met a beautiful girl there she didn't want to get married.
Josh- that was a crazy fun time! I think you need to come back to Minnesota and play on some more heavy equipment.
With the ability to get into the dirt and take the roots of the light brush it is a must have as is.
Glad to see you got him up to the great north woods! Awesome video guys!
A seeder would be a nice attachment. Have your food plot cleared and seeded at the same time.
I love seeing my favorite RUclipsrs collaborate with each other! You guys should consider teaming up with Outdoors with the Morgans and Wranglerstar.
Will you have a video on this?
That looks like the real deal right there, dream come true, best of both worlds
I think your next! you need top come up north and run some equipment with me.
@@Dirtmonkey You know it buddy!
Wonderful that you are getting to test this cool machine
that was cool you got to hang with DIRT MONKEY love watching his videos as well..

I will be at GIE also. Maybe I will see you there

Cool to see you guys together. I woulda never guessed you 2 would meet up! Awesome.

You keep great Company!
Nice job Josh. Great Vlog. Nice to see ya having fun 👍🏻

I never expected to see these two guys do a video together . Loved it!

its perfect for a farm application with light woods or brush
Cool, I've actually been a subscriber to Dirt Monkey longer than I've been watching you. Stanley is awesome.
That was worth the trip! Cool video. Stanley is something else isn't he?
Brad, you took the words right out of my mouth!! Lol
Awesome attachment for sure! Looks like a power rake and a mulcher got together and had a baby lol
this was a GREAT collaboration!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say a fleet of 200 of these, for each western State, would be a good start when it comes to thinning out the overgrown forests.
Like a swarm of drones!
Two pretty awesome guy's 💯✌🏻😎🌞
Is this the guy that always says: " Hello from Minnesota." Good morning friend.
Thats not me
Works great for what it’s designed for! Nice tool!
Stan is the man. 😁
Both of you have great channels
That's a cool machine
Love his channel
oh whatta cool enteresting channel called stoney ridge farmer to see.
1200 vids and counting buddy! From all over the world!
Love new toys…I have so much to clear but make little progress without the right stuff.
this looks like it would be a big help inn putting in new fence lines,,
Dern!!! I need one of them! That’s awesome

You hang out with some of my favorites too
That does a lot of different things… cool attachment - almost like a tiller as you mentioned. Make it for a Kubota L series and I’ll buy one.
Loved the video!
I already watch both channels. Wish I had one of those machines.
Ive seen a mulcher that can chew 3ft hardwood trees. One engine to move it. One engine to drive mulcher.
Hello from Minnesota. Getting it done.
that mulcher is a BEAST!

Nice attachment good video brother
As a "Physically Disabled Environmental Engineer", I'm already Subscribed to "Stanley DIRT MONKEY's" Channel.
I SO miss the work!
Nice attachment .. Mike Morgan may want to review it as well .
That machine is insane. I could use it on my property 30 years of neglect and lots of under brush. Trying to make it a farm again.
Test to destruction!
I love it!
Welcome to the North woods!
Looks like it works great, I dont have a skid loader , but a 5-6 foot on a compact tractor should work great.
Duluth, Minnesota, where it is always autumn except in the winter.
😂 you know it
@@Dirtmonkey A Long, Sunrise, might be a Little Muddy looking.
A mulcher like implement and grapple combined... "it" just moved.😊
I love the quote
“Stupid should hurt”
🚜-Woooo!!
Nice machine! Wish I could afford one. Part of my property looks like the Amazon jungle.
I have property west of Duluth. More field than forest. We are badly overgrown. Had a forest grinder come in and clear several acres. This would have done the job of the bigger grinder I contracted with. I use an MX6 mower to maintain.
Hell yeah my 2 favorite youtubers... aye
🙏 Thank you
Not my farm 😄 and that was just wow..
Have a good day 🍁🍁🍁
It’s not a brush mower. Up here in Canada we call these thing ‘reach around machines’. They do everything for you while giving you a reach around
I think you have my stapler Bill

Stan is a great guy hee has awesome video check them out ppl....
Scott from Good works Tractor used something similar to that without the grappler
Who’s that ONE dislike? Lol Stoney Ridge is the greatest! What’s there not to like?!
That attachment would be good for putting in food plots for hunting deer.
Looks like a "Forestry Grade" Roto-Grader!
I think you nailed it

This attachment is literally a modified Harley rake, it is not a mulcher by any means. It CAN NOT process material like Upstate Brush Control does.

Let’s go. Super early
SRF and Mr. Monkey ??? Who needs TV
Awesome ! do you have an attachment to pick rocks like here in New england ?

Sure could have used that combo last year. Cleared 4a of 15 ft high blackberry and Russian olive.
With those teeth it seems it would be excellent for use on a driveway like a Harley rake. Very multi purpose. If I had a skid steer I would certainly entertain one of those attachments.
The best improvement they could do is give one to me 😜
Oh how I miss black dirt from up north - NC has this orange stuff.
This be great for robert in georgia on the old bird farm , should hopefully tear up that damn wisteria .
I’ll take one!
Check out my buddy Stan "Dirt Monkey" channel here: ruclips.net/channel/UCtNIoi7VuApbYOPx-NjcVAA
One thing for sure when he tries equipment he isn’t shy on testing the limits. Which is awesome to see instead of finding out on your own. 👍👍

I’ve been watching the dirt monkey for quite a while now. You’re right it is a great channel.
I watch The Goo Goo Dolls in Duluth Minnesota at the amphitheatre on lake Superior, right by
Right by amsoil arena that was fun back in 2016. During the summer time it was beautiful it was over too fast. I met a beautiful girl there she didn't want to get married.
Never seen a forestry mulcher like it…..correct. Cause it’s not a forestry mulcher. Vegetation management is the best phrase.
Basically a Harley rake with 1/2 a grapple
Andrew can use that attachment.
GREAT WORK! You or Stan see anything that "might" need improvement??
Correct me if I'm wrong but there isn't a link to cmp anywhere which is disappointing whether its a mistake or on purpose.
