@@kaije7art are you kaije on anilist? i remember stumbling upon your profile somehow (twitch maybe?) and seeing we had almost the exact same top 20 in almost the exact same order. funny running into you again here
The thing is, Kousei wanted to give Kaori a wake-up punch because that's exactly what she gave him at the beginning. He picked up piano again because of her. At this point, Kousei had (mostly) overcome his issues with the piano, and Kaori played a vital part in that. No way is Kousei just gonna sit around and watch her lose hope just like he did. Also i agree, I looove Kousei so much. He's so caring 😭 so full of empathy for others and so full with a different kind of strength you usually see from male protagonists in anime 💕
For those who don't know when kousei said ‘You're not a princess, I'm not gonna play ravel’ Ravel has a piece called ‘pavane for dead princess’ so basically he's telling her you can't die.
Also the novel which they keep quoting from(for example the double suicide line) is called "Ichigo Domei" and also features a sick girl and a pianist who is in love with her, and he plays Ravel for her. Cool little fact :D
Just give up on trying not to cry. This anime is so freaking emotional and beautiful, it hits you in the feels every time. Specially the closer you are to the end. Don't worry, we're crying with you
There is a oneshot chapter taking place 2 years after the end of the series in which we follow a pianist who started after seeing the duet. That pianist is appointed by Miike as his partner for the school festival and we see Nagi too. Nagi said that "he" would be present, so Arima is still playing and still teaching Nagi
Watched this anime a few times over the years. Never fails to get me in my feels. Such a big emphasis on authenticity and connections. No matter how I feel at any point of my life, this anime always centers me.
I love your reaction. You just make me remember that young me in middle school crying every chapter that went out of this anime. Thanks for that! (sorry for the bad english)
Hi Alana. Glad that you discovered this masterpiece. I really hope that you upload the timer reaction to the last episode here and we, modest RUclips viewers, get the opportunity to view the last reaction in its full glory. It'll just be cruel to skip some scenes from there.
The only movie/show any kind of media I’ve ever tear up to was “Hachi a dogs tale” lol but this show had me bawling my eyes out a grown ass man crying to this show haha it’s a master piece.
If you love to cry on anime, you have to watch Violet Evergarden if you don't see it at all. One of the most beautiful anime for me ! I love how you react to Your lie in april btw, this anime is fucking beautiful and amazing.
Nice react as always, pls react till d ends, n whats up with ur death note reaction? And after this anime done, please react anime oregairu. Its a romcom, i'm guess ull like it, bcs its "More" than any romcom that u ever watched i thoughts 😳

You might cry for each remaining episode... I know my first time I cried at some point in over half of the episodes. Good luck, Alana.
I hope you try One Piece. It's not too late. It really fits you. Why not commit to a long term story? you will be with the characters for a long time.
Rewatching this as a way to pass time until the new Bunnygirl Senpai react drops.

When the story was literally written take the managing editor/producer cry, you're not going to win this.
"...and here you are, watering this withered heart" always hit me like a sledgehammer

Realizing that Arima and Kaori have only performed together once so far is what makes my heart ache the most in this episode.
