    Ah this grande dame always played with passion in music and faith in humanity !

      Good thing she isn't alive today. She would have ZERO faith in humanity. We as human beings in society have lost all humanity. We allow genocide before our eyes. And that's just a part of the evil and corruption. Yvonne wasn't meant to be living in today's world.

    Yvonne Lefébure is new to me. Her playing Bach's Great A Minor Prelude & Fugue was spectacular! The Fugue was breadthtaking and at the end her playing gave me goosebumps! - and I'm an organist. She brought out all the drama inherent in the music, something you rarely hear, ever! She is absolutely fantastic! More... More.... More.... !!!!

    How can you not be moved and at the same time chuckle while watching this performance? This is the most understandable interpretation of this piece I've ever heard. Wish I had as much fun playing Bach.

    Those falls are very old-style, love it.
    Seriously though, this take is both extremely interesting and not overly romanticised.
    You get to hear an actual fugue and enjoy it as such. So tasteful and meticulous!

    Outstanding!!! 🤯 my piano teacher (died with age of 85) was also a pupil of Cortot and won the piano price of Lausanne. This is a league I‘ll never belong to. I mean those pianists are not from this world! But at least I’m connected to amazing legacy in a way.

  • @danielrollot564
    @danielrollot564 Год назад +1

    Il faut écouter Lise de la Salle. C’est nettement mieux techniquement et musicalement et sans tout le cinéma de grands mouvements de bras complètement inutiles. L’âge de la sévère enseignante sans doute qui se pensait la meilleure parce qu’elle avait connu le génial Maurice Ravel ! C’était une grande pianiste mais depuis on a la chance de connaitre des musiciennes bien supérieures encore comme Martha Argerich ! Ceci dit avec respect et sans aucune méchanceté !

    • @parsiparla.classic8674
      @parsiparla.classic8674  Год назад +4

      je l'ai écoutée et même vue et écoutée en concert. Sans nul doute, Lise de La Salle est une grande pianiste, trop peu connue mais je vous trouve bien sévère concernant Y.Lefébure ...

    Would it not have been better, one wonders, if she had played a little more carefully and slowly thereby hitting more of the right notes and not missing out large sections. Her style (in every sense) was also deplorable.
