I bought the Venalisa dupes from AliExpress to try. They have bubbles in them straight out of the tube and were very sticky. The clear pink was especially difficult to work with. The clear was better, but it was still hard to get the bead to pat into shape. I used alcohol as the slip. I ended up applying it with a gel brush like a structure gel. I didn’t use a base coat the first time, just to see what it would do and it literally peeled off after a few days. I used a base coat with the clear and I guess we’ll see how that does and how the soak off process goes. I think I am still going to try the Happy Gel at some point. This video was super helpful! Can’t wait for your dupe test.
I love your channel! Great review of HappyGel. Very accurate review. After watching your video I did buy the HappyGel and my results were awesome! I’m not a professional nail tech but I usually use acrylic on my nails and I agree that it smells like garbage! Like my family leaves the room garbage!
I may have to try a tube. I love hard gel and just gel for building extensions, I like that this is a soak off even though I probably wouldn't take it off now that my own nails have grown out long enough to just keep a coat of hard gel on them to keep from breaking. Just how hard is Happy Gel when cured? Can it stand up to some punishment, like everyday nail wear and tear? What I like about it as opposed to the IBD gel that I use is that you can do a nail with one ball of gel as opposed to building up with gel, since regular gel works better with thinner coats. I would definitely use alcohol and a gel brush. I like the way they turned out for you! Hope this ramble makes sense, I haven't finished my coffee yet and my brain is running on empty right now. Bye! : )
No worries, it maks perfect sense and they do stand up to everyday wear. I have been using since a little before christmas. The one time it broke was because I applied it too thin.
i have it in eternal beige as well.. i use alcohol with it as well.. im a tech and have to use monomer i hate it so much.. btw enailcoutore's monomer is less smelly & i find as long as you clean up all your paper towels & whatever else youve got it on the smell disipates fairly quickly...its the least smelly ive tried ...
Have you ever tried to use the full coverage nails as a kind of dual form? Almond shapes are so hard to perfect and if it works it would be so much quicker!! If you try please let me know how it goes.
Dr.4c I did try! It did not go well ☹️ the tips stuck to the gel. I have seen others do it but I think it all depends on the type of plastic used to make the tips. When compared to dual forms there is definitely a difference. I wish someone would make some almond shaped dual forms. That would just be perfect 👌
Do you prefer this over the builder gel nails you used to do for strength on your nails? Which is better wearing do you think? Also does this need to be e-filed off or can we soak it off using Acetone? Thanks a million!
I haven't used it enough to decide whether I like it better or not. There also a few dupes that I need to try before I can decide. I do like the application a lot better. It is way faster. I soak it off after buffing the surface to allow the acetone to do its work. Use 100% acetone.
Brian Majcher I am a fan and will definitely continue to use. I have not tried that gelish. I am currently testing some knock offs to see if they measure up and so far I kind of like then better, lol.
I ordered the Venalisa which got here 2 days ago after I ordered it back in Dec. Also, it wasn't actually Venalisa that arrived it was some other brand called 'CPD' and one of them exploded. I will upload the video I made on it once I know whether or not they will refund the money I paid. I want to include that info in the video. I am going to upload a video later this week on another that I really liked simply called 'Gellike' . I will look into ordering the Canni you mentioned. Honestly, I am having way too much fun trying out these random internet dupes. Sorry for the long answer, getting these has been a very dramatic saga.
Moonlit and Polished ya it's so rediculous it takes a half of a flippen year to get the 788! I live8 in New Hampshire and it's crazy trying to get my products. Madam glam makes poly gel also l
Stephanie Contreras Yes, I did. Not sure why I didn’t mention it 🤔 I used the orly easy off base before I applied the happy gel. Normally, you would just dehydrate the nail bed and the use a bonder. Since I knew I was going to change them soon I used the gel base underneath to make removal easier.
Hey Haleigh, Did you try buffing your nail bed first? That is the first step when applying any gel product. 1st you should lightly buff the surface with a buffing block. 2nd You should clean the nail with a cleanser or alcohol. Do not apply any lotion or oils after this step. 3rd apply 1 coat of dehydrator and 1 coat of bonder. This next step is where you would apply a base gel if you want. It isn't necessary but would make the removal process easier if you use an easy soak off base gel. Then just apply you final gel product. I hope this helped you, good luck.
U can use any liquid u want. At a nail show, he (Max) stated u can even use wine or beer if u like! The liquid has nothing to do with the gel working. It's only to keep your brush from sticking to the product. Why anyone would choose to use monomer is beyond me. Like u, it gives me a terrible headache and the scent lingers in the house and in my nose for hours! Bubble gum scent sounds nice, but ya, they certainly didn't think of mothers with small children.👎 Nice demo, btw. Lovely pink 😊💅
bAeSUHn iS RAd dupes are products that are similar to this one. I ordered a few off of eBay and wish to try out and see if they are any good since they are cheaper. They just haven’t arrived yet.
Lela Robinson I actually haven't used the happy gel since I got the gelike. The happy gel is a thinner. I still like it and will use it again. It's just faster to gelike and more accurate to use gelike.

I like the honesty in your video. can't wait to try it my self.

That nail tip hack 😍 do you have a video on that. You went kinda quick. This is beautiful.

Thanks for the info so fast! I just e-mailed you, I have some things I'd like to send you.

What did you put on your nails before you put Happy Gel on? I did it for my client but her nails didn’t last for 2 weeks
hello I would like to know how much you pay for the brushes for acrylic on Amazon please thank you and I love your videos
How do you remove it ? How long does it last?

So you can use regular nail polish for poly gels instead of gel polishes? If so how long will it take to dry with a LED/UV lamp? Thanks🙂
sarina p i use regular polish over polygel nails all the time but you can’t use an led lamp to dry regular polish.
Ok. Thank you so much
Wanted to buy this propduct by I live in canada and it is very expensive but very nice
What did u use to prep the nail???primer ???
Very nice application! Is this soak off or hard gel? TFS😊
shihtzuluvr two It is a soak off. It takes about 30 mins in 100% acetone to remove. Thanks for asking, I totally forgot to mention it in the video.
you did a great job on your nails and the video. this is too much for me though id never have time to do that .
it says its soak off i have it but havent tried to soak it off yet..
Why is named eternal beige when it’s pink. I’m confused are you sure it’s not the princess pink color?
So are you a fan and will you continue to use? Also have you tried the gellish? What's your favorite? Great video
Brian Majcher I am a fan and will definitely continue to use. I have not tried that gelish. I am currently testing some knock offs to see if they measure up and so far I kind of like then better, lol.
Moonlit and Polished so your trying the venalisa? Or canni? If so how long did it take you to get?

yay im def getting it now
nice video. very very interesting. thank you!
Did you prime your nail with anything?? Gel base coat?? Or something?
Stephanie Contreras Yes, I did. Not sure why I didn’t mention it 🤔 I used the orly easy off base before I applied the happy gel. Normally, you would just dehydrate the nail bed and the use a bonder. Since I knew I was going to change them soon I used the gel base underneath to make removal easier.
Do you need a base gel before putting on the happy gel? I used a primer and then the gel and the gel just popped right off. What am I doing wrong?
Hey Haleigh, Did you try buffing your nail bed first? Monomer has acrylic in it so it actually gives you an extra layer of strength

Lisa C wine or beer? Just what's in that tube? 😅
Does it have to be 100% alcohol?
kathysofierce No, I have used as low as 70%
Can you cure it in a uv?
Skylar Maxwell 3 Minutes in UV lamp
What are dupes?-
bAeSUHn iS RAd dupes are products that are similar to this one. I ordered a few off of eBay and wish to try out and see if they are any good since they are cheaper. They just haven’t arrived yet.
If you didn't consider the price point, which is better; Gelike or Happy Gel!
