    This is great info. I have a dead account that I’ve been debating on whether to revive or just start a whole new account with my new niche. Intimidating to start from zero again, but I think it’s the best way for me to go. My old account is waaaayyyyy different than what I will be posting on my new account.

      Hi Athena, I totally get it, it sounds like you'd have to wipe almost everything anyway (followers and content) to give it a clean start so perhaps it's better to kick off with a new account. Let us know how you go! - C

    • @Highseasonco
      @Highseasonco  6 месяцев назад +1

      No, mostly because if it prompts them to visit your profile and you have no new posts, they're almost guaranteed not to follow since there's no indication of it being active. Bump out a bunch of new posts before engaging, and it's usually best to engage either 15 mins before or after posting - C

    I believe my account is dead,I’ve been contemplating starting a new one.Would it be a good idea to post on both accounts simultaneously,by using the collaborative post feature? That way it’s showing up on the new an old account

    • @Highseasonco
      @Highseasonco  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, you could do that if you plan to keep the old account, otherwise it'd just be too confusing for people. I'd suggest to pick an account (new or old) and stick with it, which would give people only one option when following. You always want to avoid friction where possible - C

    Thank you for your video. I’m wondering how long should you give it to see if the strategy of posting consistently is working?
    I have a small account of 800. I stopped posting consistently for about 4months.
    Now I’ve been posting consistently again for about 6 weeks -5 reels per week, Doing regular stories (which has highest engagement with my followers) And some photo post. And other forms of engagement.
    My reel view count is progressively becoming less the more I post. Even when I replicate reels that have done super well in the past, they aren’t doing well any more.
    It’s really confusing. I don’t want to give up yet, but it also seems like this strategy isn’t working and a timeframe would be helpful :)

    • @Highseasonco
      @Highseasonco  Год назад

      Hi, great question. There's no real answer to this, it changes for everyone and it truly all depends on the quality of the content and whether it resonates to get it over the line. It could also be that 5 Reels per week is too much for your audience, you could try say 3 per week and see if the engagement is any better. The whole thing about growth is to always be testing and trying new things if what you're doing isn't working. Keep going! - C

    I was hacked last year and got my account back about 2 months after that. Since then my account is dead 😢 My Hashtags are not banned, my profile status says that I am not doing anything wrong etc. But still, no views, sometimes when I click on the Hashtags, I can't see my post there.. and I am really active. Uploading more times a week, daily stories, commenting and liking other people's accounts... I don't know what to do anymore :(

    • @Highseasonco
      @Highseasonco  Год назад

      Interesting. It might take a while longer to fix it perhaps, especially because you were hacked as opposed to letting it die naturally. All you can do is keep trying all the elements from the video and if it doesn't pick up, you can either decide to scrap it and start fresh or switch strategies - C

    Doesn’t removing followers trigger the algo in a bad way?

    • @Highseasonco
      @Highseasonco  2 месяца назад

      Not at all. If you keep the dead/bot followers, your content will be fed to them, they won't engage and it'll signal to the algo that your content isn't engaging and stop sending it to people, followers or otherwise. The only choice is to remove them - C

    i've recently changed niches on my instagram and have seen significant decrease in engagement whether that be story or posts - i've also tried to go through inactive acc but i literally have more than 30k to go through i'm not sure if I should just start re engaging my content or start all over?

    • @Highseasonco
      @Highseasonco  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Rhea, it would be a decent amount of work to push through the unengaged accounts. The only real way to do it would be to take the time to remove all of the folks that you don't think would be interested in the new niche, and even then it's a lot of guesswork, and then to post consistently, use Stories, use tools like Manychat for automation (DMs plus bonus engagement), etc. It could go either way honestly - it's going to be a bunch of work regardless, the least hassle would be to start fresh but if you think you can save some of the 30K, then you could keep trying. I know that's not a decisive answer but there's no real clear way to go for these situations typically. - C

      Hi! It can take some time to settle into the new place, as it likely thinks you might just be travelling. Totally up to you as far as starting fresh, there are pros and cons to both options and it can work out great either way (and either way it's going to take a bunch of work) - C

    I think I have a similar issue whereby I shared my account to people a specific visual arts community and I thought that would work. I've joined many "share your IG account" threads and it's great but I did that in the motion design/3D community then pivoted to more 2D concept art and nerdy world building/writing. There are some people who cross over but not many so my account is more dead now than ever and I think this is mainly why. Thank you for these tips!
    I do have a question about starting new accounts. Is it bad to start an account and then leave it dormant until you're ready? Should I deactivate it and reactivate it later? It's probably too late I started it like a month ago now. Like obviously we need to claim brand names but I don't have the content yet. I'm an artist and it takes tiiiiiime to build a body of work and get ready to be a post machine lol.

    Hey I need some help. So I’m a horror cosplayer on IG and my account went from 1k+ likes and now I barely break 250. When I first started cosplaying I cosplayed as Ghostface and reached crazy numbers and interactions but then I switched over to cosplaying Michael Myers and I noticed my my like count dwindle more and more with every post and then my reach would begin to drop more and more. How do I maintain reach and interactions when cosplaying and introducing new characters into my page?

    • @Highseasonco
      @Highseasonco  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, so as you add new characters, you could time your posts with strategic engagement where you like posts with the same character via hashtags and other similar accounts. That way those accounts will see your likes/comments and be likely to come over to your profile and engage with your account. You could also do some marketing in the lead up to the release - teaser videos, a ton of Stories, some BTS stuff etc. Send traffic over from you other profiles on other networks etc. So much! - C
