this is perfection. the reef tank, mangrove, camera work, narration, fish, algae everything is simple yet so perfect. no crazy edits, information are presented straight to the point. love it!
i know im randomly asking but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I would love any tricks you can give me!
@Jairo Ronan i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This tank always brightens up my mood whenever i see it! We had to go fowlr after the cost of keeping coral was getting insane...and all my macrolgae died back with the nutrient change...
Definitely more natural than a mixed reef. One of my tanks is taken over by Waving Hand Anthelia but looks natural and I added micro algae last week which looks good from the start. Thanks for the supplement mention.
WOW Amazeballs ,beautiful Eco System. It is Most Awesome . I got a 60L tank for freshwater fish for Xmas last year I wanted sand and watched your video of plants for sand tanks. My tank looks amazing. i have 3 yo-yo loach , 11 Harlequin rasboras 4 Otocinclus Catfish and my most prized fish a very magnificent Blue Fighting fish he is called Prince . i feed all of them fancy food so the color pops , thank you for your videos it really helped me out
a couple of years ago I lost one of my clowns, Do you think I could get another that would pair up with remaining (Female). I fear she and the rest of the fish would kill him. It's a 35-gallon Fluval M90 AOI. I have it stocked with a pigmy angel, azure damsel, diodeema dottyback, and a Tomini Tang. all my fish get along and have been in there for about 3 years. Nice system!
I so enjoyed this, thank you. Are you able to keep a high fish stocking level due to the macro algae processing the nutrient load? Also how do your pipefish and seahorses cope with other species? You so often read that they should be kept in a dedicated aquarium to themselves. I would appreciate your thoughts. Best Wishes, Vanessa.
Hey there. I'm starting a macroalgae tank soon. And I have an ai prime 16 HD. I was wondering if you had a light schedule and intensity I can reference. Thank you and great tank !
Beautiful work and excellent curatorship. What fertellizer do you use? I'm building a 1.5 gal Macro only display and need some nutrients. Im thinking of using Gulliards F/2? Right now I only have red hayi but I'm hoping to add halimeda and either hypnea or Ochtodes.
Great video as always mate, watched a few of your videos more than once! I am actually about to set up a 20 Gallon reef myself and hoping to mix some softies gsp/zoas and such and some macros can you recommend some good looking options to help with water quality and not be too aggresive? The plan at the moment is 2 isolated rock islands/arches one for GSP and one for Macro but wondered if there is any that play nice next to Zoa's maybe?
Nice thanks. I have a new macroalgae vid coming soon. Not many macros will be able to grow next to zoas without overgrowing them codium and halymenia species would be fine though.
@@EverydayAquarist great thanks for the advice! 👍 I will check them out, working on the scape today but will add them to my potential stock list, thanks!
Very nice tank I love to use macro algae in my tank I have soft corals in my tank leathers ect but I have some LPS corals been running for 3 years. do you think these will be OK with macro algae in display tank or will it cause an issue with the tank in the long run thanks
Great question. The answer is hard to tell you but I assume it's from waste from fish / fish food, but also out of the water, salt water has a lot of dissolved minerals and elements etc in it. I don't use carbon dosing like co2 or liquids and they grow just fine
@@EverydayAquarist That's what I was wondering. I guess macro algae has lower carbon demands than aquarium plants. I suppose also any surface movement will be adding a little co2 from the air too. Thanks for answering!
I'm thinking of having another go at a macro algae tank and thought about carbon. Cant use injected co2 as it will power pH. Liquid carbon is technically an algaecide. Like you said it seems to function just fine without it.
This is beautiful and I wish more people would consider doing this mix as it looks so much more natural! Gets a lot of nice movement as well
Absolutely nailed it, looks so natural I love it. Great job man 👍
Thanks so much
I love the macros and I love the deep subbstrate.

Excellent advice on the deep substrate. This the key to successful fish keeping. Congrats on a spectacular aquarium.

@Collin Kody glad I could help :D

Very nice
This is good.
You asked....we answered...you delivered
That is so nice. What light is on this tank?
TMC V2 Ilumenair

Nice tank. What exactly defines a "lagoon" setup?
Here's a long overdue update on this amazing Macroalgae Lagoon Aquascape. Enjoy!

Hello yes to it can keep a reasonable amount of fish in the tank, seahorse really should be kept on their own but pipe fish are ok in a communal tank
amazing tank!!lighting???

No one notices the Finding Nemo theme? Beautiful aquarium!
What light model/spectrum are you using?
Do you dose big three or water change it?

I use EI dosing. Avoid ochtodes in a small tank, it will take it over in no time
4:28 what is the fish in the top left corner? The one that is half orange, half white?
I think you mean the Lyretail Hogfish
@@EverydayAquarist Thank you!
Love the tank where do you get your hands on the alge and would a anemone be. Able to be added to a tank like this
What is that coral under than Marco algae, do it get any light? It looks so cool
Leather corals and mushrooms
What are the dimensions of the tank? How’s it doing now?
4 ft x 3ft I think. Since I left the shop it is in, due to neglect it was taken down recently because It went bad.

Can't the roots of the mangrove break the glas?
that tank looks great and i am looking to do something similar. what nutrients/fertilizer was used?
Hello I have made a video about Fertilising macroalgae already. Many thanks for watching
@@EverydayAquarist i just saw this thanks. do you know what lighting for the caulupra prolifera you have?
Do you know which coral species spawn caused the ammonia spike? Also, do you have to re-up the salinity levels due to loss from salt creep?
Very nice tank I love to use macro algae in my tank I have soft corals in my tank leathers ect but I have some LPS corals been running for 3 years. do you think these will be OK with macro algae in display tank or will it cause an issue with the tank in the long run thanks
Should be fine if you stick to the less invasive species of Macroalgae
How are the macro algaes carbon demands met? Great tank btw.
