Genuine Soul been a reefer for a year and it's crazy how fast things change. Definitely appreciated him and it's knowledge taught me well & still teaching 🎩🥀🖤
My wife remembers you from the Houston reef currents event. She said to tell you thank you for being so extremely nice and willing to answer questions.
Can't wait to see the tank. I recently started my first reef tank last month, its a 30 gallon rectangular tank (measures 30 by 16) and I was wondering on where I should be placing my MP40 for optimal flow. Currently I have about 20 lbs of live rock, a cleaner shrimp, and a pair of clowns. Thank you!
I am sup-excited about this tank. Great concept and something I have thought about trying for a few years now. So I am going to watch closely and get my knowledge up there before I try one my self. Thanks Jake
What's up brother, the tank turned out spectacular. Awesome job with the continuous drain plumbing. The fish, mangroves, lighting...all go very well together, great info here THANKS !
Tank looks great! I’m excited to see it progress. You should look at installing a MistKing style mister to rinse the leaves down. I run one on a vivarium and if I could figure out how to contain the mist-I would love to try it on my mangroves.
J.A. great tank setup and love the place out come. I would like to see and know more about your molly's fish. Can you make a video on them. How to get them into saltwater, do they breed in that water and what food you give them. There are many videos on this fish, but not detailed enough. Thanks man.
You're probably going to want spotlighting for the mangroves as they get super tall. I doubt they'll get enough from the window but they'll probably wind up looking spectacular with some under lighting/spotlighting. It's an awesome tank. Makes me really want to get into clams and mangroves.
This is one of the best uses of mangroves I've ever seen in an aquarium. The light produced by the Philips CoralCare looks pretty darn good on film. Yeah, I'm biased, but it's still true. :-)
Thank you for the tour of your Mangrove Lagoon🙌 Would like to do a Mangrove Lagoon, but sadly think there are restrictions on collecting/growing Mangroves here in Australia.
Super fantastic saltwater aquarium sir.........Thanks for sharing video again.... one day I would love come check out your stories and how fantastic stuff you did... Thanks again sir. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Love this tank. I've been thinking about getting some more mangroves for some time. I haven't kept them in years. The pods generally ship well right? I vaguely recall the ones I kept years ago spending quite some time in transit. I can't get any locally so just want to make sure they don't necessarily need to be sent overnight express. Also love the Scopas! I have a yellow one as well but he has a grey tail. I choose him over a completely yellow (not quite as bright as this one) so it's more obvious he is not a yellow tang but could still be mistaken by someone not too familiar with fish.
Love your videos and your channel but it sure would be nice if you would put links in the description of products you mention. I can't seem to find the Philips coralcare, where can we purchase them in the US? Also do you have a video on your philosophy on sand bed - not sand bed?
hi. i wanted to ask you if there have been any problems with the mangroves up to now. I also wanted to plant my mangroves in a small aquarium and put the whole thing in my large aquarium. Kind regards jan
Great video, I love lagoon style reefs! What's your process for acclimating mollies to saltwater? Have you noticed any spawning in a saltwater environment, or is that just when they are in freshwater?
What kind of Temperature display is that on the bottom left? Super nice tank too! I've always wanted to do something like this. Like a saltwater vivarium.
It just pushes me to do a tank like tis but when I realise that I don't have the amount to set up this tank, its quite disappointing but that again pushes me to save money nd not spend it on new corals, such an inspiring tank is this Jake!
I think if you save money on your tank and go with something like converting an inexpensive 40 breeder and/or using all-in-one or HOB gear you could pull off a nice mangrove/clam setup. Mangroves and attractive Maxima clams themselves aren't prohibitively expensive if you're already buying coral frags. High end rimless tanks and integrated stands are really nice, but I think a lot of hobbyists get caught up in lusting after $2-$4k setups when a well-stocked, well-maintained aquarium built out of $200-$500 in gear and smart buys or DIY built components can get you 90% of the way there. For a lot of people that's also the difference between having one expensive showpiece tank that looks awesome and has lots of space (but might limit you in some of the things you could try--like you might not start experimenting with mangroves if you only have the time and budget for a cherry 150gal acropora reef) vs having multiple tanks with vastly different kinds of livestock.
Whew! That is HOT!!! How are the wrasses doing without sand to burrow into? My female leopard wrasse passed this week and I believe that it was due to stress of not having much sand to burrow into.
I put pebbles on top of the sand to keep it OUT - I guess it goes and sleeps under something like all my wrasses have done in my bare bottom tanks in the past
how can you keep all those tanks with no failure? , you makes look this hobby as easy as collecting stamps. This cube tank has no filtration as far as I can tell (not even dead rock) and looks fantastic !!!, a mystery to me for sure ...
RIP Jake, you will always be a legend in our hearts

North American reef mecca brought to you by Jake Adams and reef builders! Sick tank! Great video as always!
My wife remembers you from the Houston reef currents event. She said to tell you thank you for being so extremely nice and willing to answer questions.
Jake, always creative man!! This is a one-of-a-kind setup. Good work!!
Imagine what it'll look like once the trees grow out and the clams get bigger

Really like this idea. This is a really different approach.
Looking awesome brother!
Can't wait. Love this channel
Wow this mangrove tank looks great want to setup a similar tank with mangrove, clams and some coral

Looks great!! Mollies?? Insane!!
It looks amazing, Jake!!!
Beautiful Jake, well done!
Thanks for the love Jake!
Can't wait! Reminds me of cancun xel ha mangrove river experience
What a cool tank! Nicely done.
Absolutely beautiful!
Merci pour cette vidéo et tu as fini par faire un aquarium mangrove comme je t'en avais parlé l'année dernière !!! 👏👏👏

I’m so excited!
You should find a way to set the ATO up to a misting system that would spray down the mangroves......
I love it so beautiful and natural looking 👍
Man I really love this setup
Man I love this style! This is my dream tank. The new 180 gal rimless lagoon tank is coming in one month :) keep those vids posted!
Man, this is a sweet build.

The mangroves remind me of my favorite place in the world, the FL Keys 😁
Looks super sharp

I love that tank, but I LOVE those Mollies even more!
Very beautiful.....love it 👍👍

Hello, Jake, love your videos. I have been wondering for a while, how do you acclimate your mollies into saltwater?
Hey Jake, where did you get the temperature display you have for this tank. I like how you can see through it.
Looks nice 👍
This inspired me to set up a saltwater tank and add a mangrove sapling
Very cool setup I’d love to do something similar :)
wow it is beautiful
Love your hipopus clam
Cant wait to see the update video!
I love this tank
Just beautiful....nuf said.

I love the mistery wrass and the leopard wrass
Awesome tank, I think it'd be cool if you built some sort of rockscape to hide the pots and put coral on.
Need to see a video of mollies...they look so beautiful
I miss you brother but you are in a better place now 😢
Love this tank design. Gonna do the same to my 60g new tank design.
What is that cool temp monitor on the bottom left of your DT?!
Love your videos and your channel but it sure would be nice if you would put links in the description of products you mention. I can't seem to find the Philips coralcare, where can we purchase them in the US? Also do you have a video on your philosophy on sand bed - not sand bed?
Any chance on an update of this tank to see the mangroves now?
Where can I get that stick on thermometer you have on the bottom left corner of the tank? Thanks!
I am going to ask again we need even more tank tours please....
awesome tank
When buying wild life stock are you ever worried about hitchhikers if so what do you do ?
Awesome TANK! What kind of fish is the white with black stripes? Great example of a really creative tank!
What's that purple and yellow looking wrasse? Looks awesome!
How do you clean and maintain the tank? Seems like a pita to access it?
I have a redsea reefer 170 that is about to get the same transformation. I can’t stand the RS overflow. Awesome idea!
No words about the mollies man,
Cool tank.
hi. i wanted to ask you if there have been any problems with the mangroves up to now. I also wanted to plant my mangroves in a small aquarium and put the whole thing in my large aquarium. Kind regards jan
Would be cool to make the overflow adjustable, raising it as the mangroves grow taller
Business, business, business... only business!!!
Very awesome tank! Excited to maybe getting to know the struggle moving the overflow box down! #reefbuilders #jakeadamsmademespendallmymoneyoncorals
Best # tag ever!!
We miss you Jake.
Ning-a-looooo!!!
Как же это прекрасно......
Great video, I love lagoon style reefs!

video on my Molly addiction coming soon
@@ReefBuildersVideo I would acclimate them to my toilet.
@@ReefBuildersVideo need to see it asap
Can you tell me the exact mixture for the mangroves to thrive
how high is the water column?
Can we get a year update on the mangroves? :) please!
What kind of Temperature display is that on the bottom left? Super nice tank too! I've always wanted to do something like this. Like a saltwater vivarium.
Yes, what brand is that?!
What dimensions were the vase for the mangrove?
Please lmk what thermometers are those
Is there a link for cheato video your talking about
I saw you don’t use sand , can you please tell me why ? Thanks 👍

How.are.those mollies.doing . I've heard they do survive in SW but not as long as they do in fw .
How can I get the mangrove boxes?
pretty cool tank, does the leopard sleep in the mangrove substrate?
see reply above
2 days.
It's like RUclips has created a whole new temptation feature to create anticipation for the content.
Just post the fucking video?
10-4
How big and what is the dimension of this tank?
Molly addiction video PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!
When you’re over in the UK come and visit A reef keepers wife in South Wales👍
Fyi powder coat DOES absorb water and you will get corrosion and rust underneath it eventually. Cerakote is the best option for that type of thing.
Damn sucks this dood is dead, honestly miss his videos.
One day I'll get a clam they are sooo gorgeous but I'm wondering if my stock led biocube lights would support like a crocea.
clams are not really a good fit for low light nano tanks
@@ReefBuildersVideo would it be difficult to keep up mineral demands if it's a softie dominate tank? Lighting demands are met.
Whew! That is HOT!!! How are the wrasses doing without sand to burrow into? My female leopard wrasse passed this week and I believe that it was due to stress of not having much sand to burrow into.
@Stephen Dobs I've had the wrasse for 6 months without sand AND I only feed flake food!
Already want a update on this brother second time watching 🙌🏽 and question are those gold dust Molly’s?
Not good dust, I they were called Black Bar mollies
What are the fish in there that look like fresh water fish, a bunch of orange ones ?
What about the vermetid snails? I have big problem and the glue is not a solution... heeeeelp!!! Greetings from greece..!!
Do you have any issues with your leopard and no sand or does it burrow in your mangrove pots?
