World of Warplanes | Ki-94-I | Premium | Tier VII | Heavy Fighter

This plane is a beast when it comes to overall firepower, although the caliber makes the guns feel very temperamental. The bombs on this plane reload feels a bit ridiculous since it reloads faster than the other Japanese tier VII premium that is classed as a multi-role. The 120 sec reload makes the platform quite versatile.

My plan is gas operation with long barrels for the accuracy, but with two (!!!) slots for guns it would be hard to go wrong with any combo after Specialization. This is one of those planes I keep forgetting about in my hanger, and then vow to fly more when I remember. Then the dailies and weekend events swing me to other aircraft and I forget again.

I fly the Ki-102 mostly. Also very strong guns but at a lower fire rate and also it doesn't cool down as fast. But on the other hand the manoeuvrability is quite good and you win most dog fights against multis and heavies.
Was hoping to see you fly the Ki-102 at some point.

If you're a collector looking for an interesting plane, go for it. If you're looking for 1 or 2 workhorse credit grinders to play all the time, pick the XP-58 if you like high firepower heavies. Tier 8 premiums earn so much more than Tier 7's.

Timothy A. Miller I always recommend the Vampire as a first tier 8 premium. Anything under tier 7 is for fun since the real credits come from tier 8

This plane is a lot like the 109Z Zwilling, except double the bombs, even bigger guns and worse flight characteristics. I personally am waiting for the regular 30% discount for it.

Would be nice to see a tier VIII version of it as a regular heavy coming along with the high-tier US bombers.
The nerfing of the main cannon of the Ki-93 (from 250 to 200 damage) is such a shame and disappointment when you think about the stupidly overpowered Tu-1 heavy.

To be honest, this plane has disappointed me every time I've taken it out. My bombs never seem to finish off their targets. I also get mobbed repeatedly by heavy air defense aircraft diving to low altitude to take me out, and I can never seem to retain enough energy to dive away from lighter aircraft. I also struggle to get the guns to connect against anything short of a B-32. Nice to see that there's hope, though. I'll have try it some more and see if I can figure out the trick to it.

@@Veebat Alright, sounds fun. I should at least say one nice thing about it: I made short work of a specialized B-32 this morning. Not many planes that can do that. I think it was my only kill in the game, but it did do that.

Anything with 30mm or higher caliber takes a lot of time and energy to get used to the lead required for effective use
