Do these wing mirrors also have a power folding option, wherein the wing mirrors will close and open with the press of control button/remote?.Can U show a disassembly of the motor?.
Almost flawed in the simplicity though aren’t they! Spend a couple of hundred Nearly on mirror caps and a scumbag thief can just pop them off without even using a tool in 2 seconds flat ,
He also broke clips... that’s not the correct way of doing this. This is the right choice, if u want u can help your self with the plastic tool, but breaking a clip is not the right method for sure

Very good demo and saved me from using screwdrivers and/or trim tools with the prospect of much damage! This really is the only safe way of doing it!

Once you have removed cover it is marked on the inside where you drill out.

They are specific to LHD and RHD.

The new cap has a hole already on the inside. You drill the hole there.

They do have optional power folding mirrors. In my 2014 F56 the button is right next to the mirror adjustment toggle.
I wish that I knew the caps removed so easily before I plasti-dipped my side mirrors!

New caps are slightly different in shape and size and will not work.
Yes,you need the ones specific to your model year.

The hole is marked on the inside of the mirror cap. Just drill that hole and you’re good.

These are not the right caps for R50,but I would think removal is easier on R50 with pry tool

No way it’s that easy!! Go check out the guy from mini blitz video ... way harder
