Thank you for sharing. Great battle. Just slow down the camera movements to make your reports top notch.
Looking forward to the next battle.

Beautiful, just finished my Alexandrian Macedonian force and am starting out doing the persian forces so good to see an army laid out.

It's a great feeling to get them done. Although my dad just pinched them to use in a mega game at our local club.

Just saw this. Was great to see the new Victrix Persians. Good batrep. Agree that the camera work was erratic and fast. Your intro to the Persians was way too fast to actually see what you had done. Perhaps review it before moving on so you achieve what you wanted. Would be good if you could do another video of showing off the Persians in a slower and more deliberate manner. But at the end of the day, still enjoyed the show!😉

Awesome battle! I was wondering if anyone could help me since I want to get into Hail Caesar but am confused about a couple things. Like I saw there were Iberians for Hail Caesar but I am having trouble finding a starter set. Could I be getting different games mixed up? Where do I find the stats for the Persians, Iberians, Dacians, and Sarmatians? Am I getting mixed up with Clash of Spears? Can I use miniatures from different games for clash of spears or Hail Caesar? I appreciate any help I can get and sorry this is so many questions.

Hi, thanks for the comment! Hail Caesar has no proprietary miniatures manufacturer- although produced by Warlord Games you don't have to use their figures or indeed the same scale. Therefore you'll be able to use any figures you want- although be aware that Hail Caesar is a bit weighted towards units involved in reasonably sized to massive battles, so you'll find your collection gets gobbled up quite quickly. Clash of Spears looks like a skirmish game, so not a direct comparison but figures could be shared certainly. I hope that this helps and let me know if I missed anything.

@@Shieldwall100 This was super helpful thank you! I just have one more thing sorry; Where do I find what armies I can use or the stats and stuff like that? I am thinking about buying the book but am also not sure if many people play and it looked kinda expensive. Do people play this game often compared to other historical boardgames? Thx for all the help btw I rlly appreciate it!

    • @Shieldwall100

@@thewetblueberry7233 Hail Caesar is very accessible, even compared to other games as it has no unit sizes set in stone. The good thing about historical wargaming is that you can use your collection for several different sets of rules. The Hail Caesar rulebook comes with stats for the various unit types that you can typically find across the ages, and has sample games from different periods of ancient history for you to see what you like. If you want to focus on a particular timeframe, say for example Late Antiquity, there are army list books on the Warlord Games webstore that you can purchase that give you a more in-depth look.

Nice work, but please stop waving the camera around so violently. I had motion sickness after 5 minutes and had to turn it off. I love what you are doing, but please buy a tripod from Poundland... ;-)

I don't believe that the Persians of this period had any Cataphract cavalry.
