    JUST TO CLARIFY, I *DID NOT* LET ANY SCAMMERS CONNECT TO MY PHYSICAL MACHINE! IT WAS A VM INSIDE A VM.

    • @readyrepairs
      @readyrepairs 8 лет назад +48

      +Lewis's Tech no - it wasnt. you did this stupidly - and if it werent for how stupid the tech was - he would have seen the orange desktop as well.

    • @Senzorei
      @Senzorei 8 лет назад +12

      +Lewis's Tech Why didn't you simply run a Win 98 VM from your physical PC instead of that other VM with the orange desktop?

    • @danielplusben
      @danielplusben 8 лет назад +97

      +Senzorei The VM with the orange background ran the program that allows the "Tech support" guy to connect.
      If he didn't have that, then the guy could close the VM and have access to his PC with his stuff on.
      And the Windows 98 VM probably wouldn't run the software to allow the scammer to connect.

    You should run a virtual machine in a virtual machine and give them control of the first one so that they can close down the second one. See if they think they've outsmarted you.

    • @chellmell3388

      Let them SYSKEY the first one too for extra lols.

    • @taliyeth

      This _is_ a virtual machine inside a virtual machine.

    • @chellmell3388
      @chellmell3388 8 лет назад +2

      Ya but like they know that it's a vm inside a vm make them think the first vm is your computer and see if they try to 2 time you.

    • @taliyeth
      @taliyeth 8 лет назад +2

      So wait, hold on... Do they think the Virtual machine hosting the second virtual machine is the PC, or that the Virtual machine being hosted by the other Virtual machine is the PC? I'm confused...

    • @chellmell3388
      @chellmell3388 8 лет назад +6

      The scammer thinks the virtual machine hosting the virtual machine is actually the pc but doesn't let on that that fact. So they try and SYSKEY the VM hosting the VM but end up finding out it's just another VM.

  • @tophmedia

    I have been around for quite a while to be honest, and I've seen a lot of teknishuns in my day, I've seen the best and I've seen the worst. I've seen hundreds of level 3 teknishuns but only a few times in my whole life have I ever seen a level 4 teknishun. But he was going to assign a level 5 teknishun? Unbelievable. I can't imagine the skill and dedication it must take to become a level 5 teknishun. I have only heard about level 5s in stories... in legends. I would be honored to be assigned a level 4 teknishun, but to assign a level 5 teknishun... it makes me shutter just thinking about being in the presents of such an incredible specimen.

    It looks like you used the remote control software on the host machine rather than through the guest. I've seen another prank on a fake tech support guy where Win 98 in a VM was able to use one of their remote control apps directly. It was like the third one they tried, but it finally worked. That of course would eliminate the problem of the scammer seeing the VM window bar, and would probably help also with whatever problem this guy had controlling your system. Also, I like Esteban's suggestion of using Win ME..
